Dumb Cub fans,
I love me some Bernie Mac but you guys should have never have let him in the building. The guy was a notorious White Sox fan.
RIP of course.
I… just…can’t believe this team. If it weren’t for the Sox, I’d say this was the biggest white flag surrender in modern baseball history, 2nd only to the Mets/Glavine collapse a few years ago.
Lee in S GA
The fat lady has started to hum . . . .
and asking McCann out on a date
But there’s actually still people on here who think they have a chance!
According to the rules of MLB, they do. That’s good enough for me.
September 27th, 20118:32 pm
lol, DOB can’t take it anymore, you can read the anger in his words!!!
Hey, I was right. Lowe gave up 5 runs. I love consistency!
Wasted days and wasted nights!
Even six runs down, I want to see the Braves offense show some life and not give up. One can only hope.
“What a bunch of crap. This team sucks badly. Hello more fun in 2012″
If by fun, you mean the same exact thing happening next season, then yeah, much fun.
It’s hilarious that people think next season is going to go soo much better.
Most gutless Braves team I’ve ever seen.
Trey…..stop being optimistic. we may not see another win until next JUNE
TOWELS JUST GET 1 RUN IN PLEASEEEEEEEEE
2 more ASTROS WINS and we’re IN !!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
September 27th, 20118:33 pm
YAAAAAAA 1-0 ASTROS!!!!!!!!!!!
Last 6 games vs Phillies
That’s what…on average a 7-1 game?
Should have Traded for Pence. lol
Come on ump, need to call it the same both ways.
Heyward in 2011 form
Hypo Chon Dri Ack
Second nice AB from Heyward tonight.
The A Bomb
Sac fly by Towles…
HOUSTON 1 ST LOUIS 0 BOT 2
What a joke.
Stros up 1-0
Straight down the f****** middle again.
I’m not even happy the Astros scored. this is sad

This why Fredi got fired. Of course silly Bobby defended Fredi like he is his long lost son (rolls eyes), but you definitely take what that old guy says with a grain of salt. Anyways, he has shown he cannot lead a team, not a playoff team anyways.
And I have defended Gonzalez all year. Not any more. The man will bring this awful collapse with him into next spring. Just can’t do that and remind all the guys of this nightmare. Need a fresh start.
I will consider this failure a blessing in disguise if the front office fires Fredi after the season is over. He couldn’t win with the Marlins and he has done less than expected here. He’s just not very good and simply is an enabler of his players. They don’t put out because their manager makes excuses for them.
Gimpah & McError
Don’t you people know anything about baseball? Pass balls are NEVER the catcher’s fault! hahahahahahahahaha
Astros leading, if the Braves were anything sort of a descent team they could possibly clinch tonight but that’s not happening
groundfog, why would you be embarrassed? It’s not you on the field that’s getting crushed, it’s them. The players are the ones who should be embarrassed, not you. I want to see them in the playoffs, no matter how horrible they may be.
Should we even root for the Stros? In all seriousness, do we want these guys in the playoffs, where they could fail on a national stage to the poetic narration of Bob Costas?

“According to the rules of MLB, they do. That’s good enough for me.”
Sorry, cabravesfan, but you just proved my point of clueless fans.
Brave4life-1995 all over again???
The Braves look dead
at least the Red Sox are scoring some runs n there ball games
Wow, we may never scored again this year.
Parrish has brainwashed our two speedsters to try and hit home runs like the rest of the hitters.
Cardsfan, where are you? you gotta a stick around when your team is losing too. DON’T BE A FRONTRUNNER!!!! your a game back!
when I got up this morning and saw the astros had won I got that little exciting feeling. could not wait to get home to watch the game I’ve lost that feeling fans just lost it.
Contanza, like all the other Braves hitters is just terrible.
only new ownership will save the Braves. They may develop pitchers but are horrible at developing bats. Marlins and Nats have better talent
ohhhYEAH, how foolish of me.
September 27th, 20118:36 pm
Nooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come on, Cards. Don’t drag this out. Just win today and tomorrow and finish this already!
Heyward has looked pretty bad over his last few at bats.
5-3 Red Sox. Runners on 1st and 2nd, 0 outs.
It’s tough to win games if you don’t score any runs.
Fire Larry Parrish
Yes, let’s all just watch strike 3. Sounds like a great plan.
I want the Braves to win and get in the playoffs….
But, I keep asking myself:
What is it going to look like with them playing
in the play-offs??
Are they suddenly going to flip a switch and
become a different team????
LOL, look at all those sukker fans that paid to watch this! hhhhhhhhhh
people, people, this is simply not a good team. The begining of the season was a fluke with great starting pitching which has evaporated with injuries and lowe. ALL season the hitting has been amateurish and the managing immature. If this leads to the team being blown up -GOOD-mccann,lowe,uggla(i know,a dream),heyward, seabass, diaz, chipper all need to go. (just saw jh K-that was easy). Of course FG and parrish are gone. Ina coupla years we could be competitive, if WRENN is fired.THAT IS ALL,NOTHING TO GET VIOLENT ABOUT!!
Looks like they are saving themselves for tommarrow…..
Slim to None and Slim Left Town-
Why? Because I refuse to give up and trash the team when they do, in fact, still have a chance at the playoffs? What about that makes me clueless? They have not been eliminated. There is still one more game tomorrow.
September 27th, 20118:37 pm
Michael Bourn just refuses to bunt, guy with a back issue, why not.
There isn’t one guy in this lineup who has a clue what they’re doing at the plate.
T for Texas
The “Wasted Scoring Opportunities…” headline has got me singing Freddie Fender’s Wasted Days and Wasted NIghts in my head. Over and over and over again.
phredd, he’ll show up once his team has the lead. I made an extremely rude comment back to him, yet he has not responded.
at least boston is putting up a fight for it’s playoff spot..the braves look like they would rather be doing anything but playing baseball.
phredd….im here…..as you wish….your really gonna feel like an idiot when we win the wild card
Not watching the game anymore, but this is just flat out disgraceful. I’m a lifelong fan as well cabravesfan, but it’s hard to remain positive knowing that collapses have set franchises back for years.
Worse thing about it is that we’ll all be back here tomorrow awaiting the same fate.
It’s was obviously Vizcaino’s fault that McCan’t missed that pitch.
Nothing’s ever McCan’t fault.
So our hottest hitter Agon is gone for the season! Unreal.
be fair Tomahawk, a guy like Georgie needs to start and get a rythym.
If Bourn was still playing for the Astros, he’d actually be in a game with real playoff implications.
Boras just put a clause in his contract that precludes the Braves from being able to sign him.
September 27th, 20118:38 pm
No fight left and Boone with the ability to step up.
They need to do some serious reconstructing this off season.
Maybe we should go with a crazy lineup tomorrow. Conrad leading off, Diaz hitting 2nd, Hinske 3rd, Ross 4th, Constanza 5th, Wilson 6th,
There’s been a Constanza sighting
For those of you thinking that the Braves should have traded for Pence rather than Bourn just know that Pence probably would have become injured or performed well below expectations simply because whenever somebody puts on an Atlanta Braves uniform they become a shell of their former selves.
What happened to Agone???? I didn’t hear.
September 27th, 20118:39 pm
stizz (Braves & Falcons fan til death)-
You can feel however you want. But so will I.
Check that. Lowe’s 2011 ERA closes at 5.05 for the year.
Teheran: 7k’s 8 BB’s
If Boston had our pitching, even without JJ and Hanson out they would have longed clinched a playoff spot because they hit and score runs, things very necessary to win.
“They have not been eliminated. There is still one more game tomorrow.”
And it’s a game that they have absolutely NO chance of winning. Wake up and smell the coffee. This team is horrible. There’s a greater chance that the Astros will sweep the Cards than there is the Braves winning another game this season – and that includes the playoffs if they do back in.
They are playing Don’t Stop Believing in Turner Field. I guess they want us to believe in the Astros…
phredd, cardsfan is a coward. He was boasting that his team would tie it last night, but they lost and he vanished like a ship in the Bermuda Triangle.
I’m going to feel like an idiot? why? I’ll feel just fine my friend. Why can’t you guys beat the worst team in the NL? How do they even score on you?
It’s a shame all those folks at Turner Field paid their hard earned money to see a team that no longer cares or puts forth any effort. Alex G. doesn’t feel the games is worthy of him playing and would never play for me again if I was Wren. Hopefully the Cardinals win tonight and tomorrow. We know the Chokers will lose tomorrow. If they don’t care, why should we?
This is from a fan that has lived and died with the Braves since they came here in 66. However, this team will forever be remembered as the Chokers.
Reading the quotes on here
it’s plain to see this team is hurting all of us!
Do you realize that we could conceivably release every position player on this team and field nothing but minor leaguers next year and probably wouldn’t have a worse team batting average than we do right now?
September 27th, 20118:40 pm
I wanted Medlen to start
it couldnt have gone this bad
The Braves version of the rally monkey would be flashing an image of Bartman on the big screen.
Yeah, that’ll get them fired up.
cabravesfan, you’re right. But the only way we get in the playoffs is if the Cards lose tonight. We could win tomorrow, but say you tie a wild card with the Cards. Do you want to face that team with Beachy going against a sick lineup. He gives up homers like they’re going out of style.
I wonder if the braves will even score a run…tonight or tommorow
Stranded At 3rd With No Outs
I’ve tried every slump busting superstitious ritual I have in my arsenal, anyone else have any suggestions?
Lowe has a 6.19 ERA in his past 15 starts, would fall to 4-11 in that span if he loses tonight.
“your really gonna feel like an idiot when we win the wild card”
You’re really going to feel like an idiot when you realize you didn’t use the correct form of “you’re”.
September 27th, 20118:41 pm
Expect Braves will be saying, “Yeah, if you told us we could be playing to get in the playoffs on the last day of a 162 game schedule prior to the season, we’d have taken that deal.” Spin City rather than somebody having the guts to say, “We Stink!”
phredd…..give me a break you guys couldn’t score a run off a college team right now….and i bet half the people on this blog would agree
No more D-Lowe!!!
cardsfan, and you are gonna feel like an idiot if the braves giftwrap the cards the wildcard and they still can’t win it because they can’t beat the worst team in baseball.
Next year lets let Kawakami pitch for Lowe – then at least we would only paying 8M to lose
Why did Viz hit for himself if Fredi was just going to pull him?
“Should we even root for the Stros? In all seriousness, do we want these guys in the playoffs, where they could fail on a national stage to the poetic narration of Bob Costas?”
Would anything they do in this year’s playoffs be worse than the 1996 World Series? Or even, for that matter, the 2000 NLDS?
No organization worth a snuff would bring Fredi Gonzalez and Parrish back next season. They need to be fired, but they won’t be.
And the Braves are going to fail again.
I just knew that the Phillies would get things straightened out against the Braves.
Go Braves !!!
I just gets worse and worse for the Braves. They are down 6-0 to the Phillies. This will come down to the last game of the season it looks like. The way things are looking the Braves will probably lose the Wild Card on the last day of the season or in a Wild Card playoff with St. Louis in St. Louis. They picked a bad time to play horrible. The Braves are 8-16 in September. They gave away 3 games. It might be better if they don’t make the playoffs because they play the Brewers and they will sweep them in 3 games all on blowouts.
September 27th, 20118:42 pm
If Teheran starts this game, there’s no way it’s 6-0 right now.
