Someone who is trying does not go out there and give up 4runs.

If you can’t figure out that he is not the pitcher he used to be and that he could have just laid an egg like what Tom Glavine did on the final day of the mets epic collapse I don’t know what to say. The guy isn’t working with much and if not for a bad decision on a bunt would have only yielded 3 runs. He is fighting, don’t let your blind hate of the guy get in the way of seeing the truth.

Where’s MURPH?

Remember earlier this morning I gave you a prognostication on the game whilst saying LOWE would get 17 outs in this game. i said he would have allowed three after three and that we would need to score 6 to win. Damn, i hate being right with any part of that statement.

Here is the dated copy.

With a start from LOWE, I think we need a minimum six to win. LOWE gets to the third giving up three. He gets 17 outs before relief.

OK lets discuss this:
why didnt we start hudson tonight in an opportunity to put this thing away. even if the cards won tonight. A win for us would have secured at least a playoff with the cards. But now we will be looking at do or die tomorrow. and these people get paid the big bucks and dont have a clue how to manage.

Braves can’t score more than 3 runs. Best possible outcome at this point would be for Fredi to let Lowe pitch the whole game NO MATTER WHAT, to save the relievers for a TRUE must win tomorrow.

Plus then maybe Lowe’s pitchcount could get up to 150 and he’d get a career ending injury.

“What does that even mean?? Would you rather him NOT get on base? It’s very hard to score runs if you don’t hit…”

What that means is he has been CHOKING with runners on in front of him and a chance to put runs on the board for his team. Of course when the team is down by 4 runs he goes to the plate and goes the other way……. something he hasn’t done in a couple of months. Sure would have been nice to have a hit or two from him in the last week when runners were on and the Braves actually were in a position to win a game.
