Moylan to be activated from DL Sunday

Peter Moylan completed his minor league rehabilitation assignment Saturday night for Triple-A Gwinnett with one inning of work, allowing an unearned run on three hits but striking out three, before heading back to Atlanta.

The veteran sidearmer will be activated from the disabled list Sunday and ready to make his return after missing four months with a herniated disc, the last three following surgery.

The Braves might choose to rest Moylan on Sunday and give him a chance to get re-acclimated, but they’ll go ahead activate him in case they need him.

Moylan pitched six innings, allowing only that one unearned run, in six appearances on his rehab assignment. He gave up five hits, walked four and struck out 10. The reports have been good.

“He has gotten better every appearance,” Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez. “He’s been great.

The past two games indicate Peter’s activation cannot come too soon.

Great! The Braves lose another series to a sub .500 team. If you can’t beat the Gnats, Mets, etc. of MLB–then how do you expect to go anywhere in the postseason (if the Braves even make it)?

Show some f’n heart guys, Damn!!! Could have won the game if only you were a little smarter then the team you are facing. Constanza was on 2nd base and who comes up to bat? Brooks f’n Conrad.

Its hard to support a team that shows no heart. Mr All Star Brian McCann strikes out 4 times, way to help the team Mac. Can’t score more than 1 run against the Dodgers? Bad enough, but they blew a big lead last night and lost the game.

I love the Braves, always have, always will, but if they don’t show any heart, I won’t show any passion for this team. This team picked a horrible time to start playing their worse ball of the season. They are so inconsistent, and will have no chance in the playoffs if they continue to play this way. Blowing 5 run leads one game, and just getting out played the next on their way to scoring 1 measly run.

Sit McCann tomorrow, its apparent he is struggling right now. Striking out 4 times in a game isn’t cutting it. Do the team a favor tomorrow and sit it out.

All the pitching in the world cannot help our chokers. And all our vaunted pinch hitters have become pinch lookers. What a sorry excuse for a pinch
hitter to stroll up to the plate and “LOOK” at perfect strikes.
And what can be said about our allstar catcher? Absolutely the worst defensive catcher in baseball and he also has become a “looker” as has Hinske and Prado.
and Jason Hayseed…… no comment needed.
Perhaps you can tell. I am disgusted.

Fredi. . .How long are you going to leave Tubbo in the third slot, he should be batting 7th or 8th along with Prado, Heyward and Gonzalez.

Chip needs to be reinstalled into his 3 hole with Uggs batting 4th and McCann batting 5th. I’m not sure who should be batting 2nd, Prado is squandering right now. The past few games Alex has been batting much better, but don’t think he can handle the 2 hole.

Thankfully! This comes after loosing 2 straight to the Dodgers (which should have never happened). I’m glad he is back, at least we have some good news ending this weekend.

The Dodgers will sweep the braves. They have already beat them twice and their best pitcher is pitching today and he is left-handed and the braves cannot hit left handed pitchers. Brooks Conrad must be told by the manager to go up the plate and just stand there and take perfect pitches.

Our ship is sinking fast and lard ass Fredi G continues to make excuses. This team has no fire in it.We will lose the wildcard lead in less than 2 weeks. We get chipper healthy for once and the rest of the team quits.Prado looks lost at the plate as well as McCann. If Freeman quad is so bad why is he still streching so far for throws.I know Hinske is a liability at first. We need a cowprod to wake this team up before it is too late.Philly will sweep us with ease.
