Another SHUTOUT for the Phillies staff – Cliff Lee – 8 and 2/3 then Madson 1/3 inning.
Yesterday, Halladay went 7 shutout innings in a 9-0 blowout
On Monday, Hamels fresh off the D/L was held to 6 innings and only 1 run ( which was tainted as Hunter Pence fell down on a routine fly ball)
And all these pitching gems by the 3 Cy Young candidates against the NL’s highest scoring team.
One more game to go in this 4 game series and Phils will send the rookie phenom to the mound – Vance Worley – 9 wins vs 1 loss and a 2.60 ERA
