Why are some folks (Ralph in this case) so impatient about worrying about next year? Let’s just win it all this year, and then let Frank W work his magic in the off season.

I know some think we need the salary relief, but it’s not set in stone that we have to get rid of salary this winter. Why worry today, when you can wait and worry over the winter……….

abwright and I meant that both because it seems to have dumped a bucket of ice-water on McCann but also because you had to go four-five days without a McFix.

I could have handled the four day lay-off if that day in Chicago would have carried over better…

If Lowe had lost tonight like he usually does everone on here would be calling for his scalp like they always are but one good game and everyone wants to give him the key to the city. I am just as happy as anyone that we won the game and I hope he wins every start he has left but if he does it will just make it that much easier to trade him, needless to say i’m not a big Lowe fan.

Love to see Lowe start to get it together. September needs to be his month again. Lowe, with his experience, could really carry the BRaves deep with another September run (and enhance his trade value in the offseason)

Lowe is a true ace. That’s why he’s making $15 million. No one has a right to question his ability.

DS1

August 31st, 2011

Ralph

You couldn’t be more wrong. There are a boat load of us on the blog that aren’t calling for Lowe’s scalp. We realize he is a 3-4 slot pitcher, that can elevate his game from time to time. We do NOT begrudge him his pay. When he was signed, nobody twisted FW’s arm and we REALLY needed him.

Is he worth 15 million this year. Nah. But was he worth signing 3 years ago? Damn straight! And if he stays through the length of his contract, most realistic bloggers here will not mind.

So “everone” on here (your words) would not be castigating him if he pitches another bad game or two this year. Just you fantasy fans.

DS1

Doesn’t mean we aren’t frustrated when our players do poorly (Jurrjens as of late, Prado, Heyward, Uggla, etc). We just don’t let it rule our life, and we don’t live from game to game. My “points” tomorrow are not relying on how some pitcher does tonight.

This is the same sort of stuff that had folks talking about Prado being a backup SS. Fantasy Fans.

Jack Wilson, a very slight upgrade over Lugo, listed as a second baseman, don’t know if he can play SS, bats right, hits lefties .239 and a little better against righties, no speed, no power but still a slight upgrade over Lugo if he can play SS, don’t know why Wren would want him if he doesn’t.
