Oh screw off! I can multi-task….We can talk baseball and emotions at the same time.
JK by the way.
I took my 77 year old dad down for a game earlier in June, along with my son, brother, nephew and nephew’s 2 year old (who wore his glove the entire 10 innings!). What a great experience!
Almost as fun as taking mom and dad a year ago on their 56th anniversary! My mom was doing the tomahawk chop and the wave! A site to see four shore.
I thought that guy was about to fall over.
OUCH! That just landed on the patio!
Morse really scares me. A powerful slugger.
August 31st, 20118:48 pm
Looking better, D-Lowe.
McFann :Ô: :Ô:
Of course he would do it on the first pitch!…
You are most definitely on my List — cabravesfan
Awesome! Same to you.
Very good 6 innings by Derek, and the HR didn’t hurt, either!
Good outing from Lowe and I agree with Gonzalez lifting him here because a game can escape from Derek Lowe in the blink of an eye.
I was hoping to be invited to the group hug with all you ladies. And old guy like me has to get his thrills anywhere he can, don’t he?
Well, there went the shutout, but I’m glad he pitched well. Good move on Fredi G’s part to pull him before a total meltdown.
Oh, please. it barely got over the outfield wall and fell in between the wall and seats.
MattE! Looks really good in a Braves uni, don’t he? — bravesgrl4life
He sure does…like he never left!
August 31st, 20118:50 pm
Ok, come over big boy….I’ll give you a hug. But keep your hands above the waist!
Bring on Easy-E!
Imagine Morse and Goldshmidt (sp?) back to back in a lineup…
WAIT…….is this Armageddon? am i ACTUALLY hearing people PRAISE D Lowe AND Fredi G right now? Dear God….the Apocalypse is upon us
DS1, my daddy loved the Braves, but never got to go to a game. I regret that. But you can say, he raised me right.
Nice job tonight, DLowe. I hope this is a turnaround for you since Sept begins tomorrow.
August 31st, 20118:51 pm
What’s with the love fest tonight?
Why is Fredi not playing Constanza? If you are going to pinch hit for Diaz, doesn’t Constanza make more sense than Heyward?
August 31st, 20118:52 pm
Very nice game, Mr. Lowe. Shut ‘em down pen. And glad to see Diaz back-always liked that guy.
August 31st, 20118:53 pm
Just an extended leave of absence, BravesQueen
Gotta get a permission slip first from Ms DS1!!! She might get jealous otherwise.
Lowe thowing a 3-hitter. Here comes Freddo!
Is this the most inconsistent manager in MLB?
August 31st, 20118:54 pm
Took a little while, but Easy E got him
August 31st, 20118:55 pm
It seems like on nights when the WLBB has been vanquished from the blog, the Huggy Wuggy Squad might make an appearance. I much prefer the HWS to the WLBB.
No way we can blow this one.
Good win tonight, folks.
On a serious note, don’t scrimp on the PT exercises at home. You’ll be glad you did them in the long run! Good luck on that……
You planning on coming to California anytime soon? Or not soon? My List is made up of those of you I plan on meeting when I go to Atlanta…
August 31st, 20118:56 pm
Good work by Eric!
when are you coming?
These wunderkinds are going to blow one on one of these nights, but we need this one…………
August 31st, 20118:57 pm
Who’s up for a Fish Fry on the 12th?
Great job by DLowe. O’Flaherty comes in and restores order.
After two sucky games, Fredi is going for the jugular. O’Ventbrel should mean this game goes in the W column.
I suspect, if DLowe had been on a roll, Fredi would have let him go further in the game. But, 7 innings of 3 hit ball is such an improvement, let the guy go out with a positive rather than a negative.
August 31st, 20118:58 pm
cabravesfan, you come to Atlanta, we are going to have to have a big ole blog tailgate party at the Ted!
No idea. Just know I will at some point. Maybe next season if we can swing it…
Lowe: 6 innings (plus a batter), 3 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 6 K. Threw 53 strikes in 89 pitches
August 31st, 20118:59 pm
That’s the idea Hence the List
espinosa…..hate that guy
Nothin’ “hotter” than a lady that loves baseball, and especially ladies that love the Braves!!!
We got a passel of hotties on here tonight!!
I feel like it is safe to say that Constanza’s luck has run out.
Good game, thank you.
August 31st, 20119:00 pm
cab’s pup is welcome to sleep on my couch.
On a serious note, don’t scrimp on the PT exercises at home. You’ll be glad you did them in the long run! Good luck on that…… —DS1
Thanks! I will take them seriously. I’m ready to get total (or as close to that as possible) use of my hand/wrist back. I’ve already been without it since the beginning of June. Never imagined spending my summer the way I have.
Btw, you should see the difference in my 2 hands—my right one is tan, the left one is sooo white!! (from being in a cast all summer.
August 31st, 20119:01 pm
Nala doesn’t fly. Or sleep on sofas. She will share your bed with you though…
Diamondback Mac –
Same to you, friend. Play another?
Prado has become a liability at the plate and I hate to say it.
August 31st, 20119:02 pm
And I’ve got a spare bed and my pup would love to play with cab’s pup And the back yard is fenced for them to romp around.
Kinda like my left arm and right arm? (truck drivers tan!)
cabravesfan, you come to Atlanta, we are going to have to have a big ole blog tailgate party at the Ted! –bravesgrl4life
AMEN to that, sister!
JC from DR!
August 31st, 20119:03 pm
Now Bourn can’t even get on base with the Braves… what a surprise…
Funny video from MLB should be put up soon involving Ryan Braun face planting during an inside the park homer and getting tagged out…
August 31st, 20119:04 pm
Sounds like if the HWS could stage their get-together at a Bark-in-the-Park night, the “Braves attendance mavens” wouldn’t have anything to complain about.
August 31st, 20119:05 pm
You planning on coming to California anytime soon? Or not soon? My List is made up of those of you I plan on meeting when I go to Atlanta… —cabravesfan
Probably not anytime soon. But if I do, you’ll be the first to know. Seeing you is on my ‘list’ too.
Socks seem ever upper.
Kat, I assume Braun was TRYING for an inside the park homer, but didn’t quite make it?
August 31st, 20119:06 pm
I love this type of inning! 3 up, 3 down, quickly. Make it so Jonny!
Kinda like my left arm and right arm? (truck drivers tan!) —DS1
I’m thinking Prado will be moved out of the 2 hole if he can’t get this fixed soon. One thing to give Fredi credit for is that he hasn’t had these “locked” spots in the oreder for players as Bobby did.
August 31st, 20119:07 pm
We got a passel of hotties on here tonight!! — DS1
Good job, Jonny!
Look At Vennie-Macc!
Great inning by Venters.
Let’s get one or two more runs for a little insurance.
August 31st, 20119:09 pm
Prado needs to sit….play diaz for a few days.
cabravesfan, the hubby’s vacation plan for next year is a dive trip off San Diego. Well, they sail out of SD down off the coast of Mexico somewhere, anyway. I am not interested in the dive trip, so he’s putting me up at one of the nicer resorts in SD. I think I might have said something about it before. Would be cool if I could plan it around an Atlanta @ SD game and you and VJ come down for that and we all get together.
August 31st, 20119:10 pm
Oops, I didn’t mean to bold all of that post
I wanna MAC JAC HERE!
Davey johnson looks 100 pounds lighter…
A W is a W, but on another night, we could be easily behind 4-3 and the folks would be ranting about the awefence stinking and such.
But a W is a W, and I’ll take it………..

Before the Cards could barely beat the Brewers, in this series it doesn’t look like they can lose.
Well, I just lost any respect I had for your rapper, souljaboy, T.
Jake Westbrook just hit a grand slam.
ijonathan .. yeah that’s what I meant… tried but failed.
Fredo shouldn’t have given McCann the day off in New York.
August 31st, 20119:12 pm
Uggla only has 30 dingers….
He doesn’t have to go 15 ABs between hits every time…
August 31st, 20119:13 pm
abwright Fredo shouldn’t have given McCann the day off in New York.
No, he shouldn’t have.
August 31st, 20119:14 pm
Kimmie is going to have to slice through the heart of the gNats order.
August 31st, 20119:15 pm
.286?? Good night…was .306 when he went on the DL…
and youre scared of this?
McFann :Ô: :Ô:
August 31st, 2011
He doesn’t have to go 15 ABs between hits every time…
Nobody is the Braves lineup is swinging the bat particularly well right now which makes it a good thing that they have a nice cushion in the playoff race.
You hearing any rumblings about a deal for a utility infielder tonight?
August 31st, 20119:16 pm
McFann … and I meant that both because it seems to have dumped a bucket of ice-water on McCann but also because you had to go four-five days without a McFix.
I would be hurt if you didn’t! Even if you can’t plan around the Braves, we can still meet up for a game- the park is worth it.
Carve them up, Kimbrel! You are, after all, CK.
Lowe has a good outing against the Nats and everyone is jumping on the Lowe band wagon, Hurry Frank you have 2 hours and 45 minutes left, maybe there is some sucker out there like the yankees or redsox have changed their minds too, give them a call.
August 31st, 20119:17 pm
Bring On Kimmie!!!
Tough inning awaiting Kimbrel in the 9th.
August 31st, 20119:18 pm
Buster_ESPN Buster Olney
Ortiz’s trip around the bases might have challenged Tim Hudson for the longest home run trot of the year. Put a stopwatch on that one.
Ralph, go suck an egg or somethin. Lowes last 4 outings have been pretty darn good. so if you dont like the fact that he won us a game tonight, go pull for the mets or somethin
Werth is not having a good hair day.
August 31st, 20119:19 pm
Ho Sit Down Werthless
Look At Kimmie!!
OK … that was a cheap shot.
Werth is NEVER having a good hair day.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
