I went to Citizen’s Bank Park for the first time earlier this year. It’s really similar to Turner Field as far as the seat setup, with the exception of a bigger upper deck area in the outfield, and a more “open” feel to seats at the top of the bottom bowl (the upper deck doesn’t extend as far over the lower level as it does at Turner Field). The sight lines of most of the seats seemed really good….we ended up sitting behind home plate in the middle level (similar to the Lexus/Golden Moon Casino Level at Turner). It was a LITTLE difficult to see the entire foul territory in left field if I remember correctly, but overall we were able to see pretty much everything.

Wilson’s biggest asset to this team is so that if we get decimated by injuries like we did last year, Brooks Conrad doesn’t have to pick up a glove. He’s on the team so if Alex comes up gimpy on the last day of the season, we aren’t screwed by having Julio Lugo starting a playoff game. He’s simply a good insurance policy.

Hope to see good pitching in Philly next week. I just don’t think the Braves starters are real close to the Phillies starters right now. Although the way it lines up now it looks like the Braves will miss Halladay and Hamels. Looks like it will be Lee, Worley, Oswalt.

True, but Neftali won it last year when he had 40 saves. And although Freeman is having a “good” year, Kimbrel is having a “record” year.

Shaun, what do your stats tell you about Uggla’s performance hitting cleanup vs in other spots in the order? I might be wrong, but I believe he is raking while hitting 4th and doing little while hitting elsewhere in the lineup.
Perhaps, despite the stats, he feels more comfortable there. I’m guessing nobody has told him that he shouldn’t feel comfortable there, because his projections indicate he’d be a better #3 hitter… so don’t you go telling him that and getting into his head.

Scoots, Nothing to do with being “Worthy” just seeing all of the goose eggs and strikeouts to walks from that staff lately. And the fact that the Braves starters seems to be leaking a little oil lately (compared to pre All-Star break). Just timing. maybe it will even out more by next week.

Lee shut out Cincinnati, the second highest run scoring club in the NL, yesterday. Has a 6 game winning streak with a 0.45 ERA in August. I guess it’s sensible to predict 3 runs against him Monday.

I think T-Pain plays the majority of next year in Gwinnett. He still could use some seasoning and I find it hard to believe that the Braves would play opening day with three 22 year olds in the starting lineup.

Wayne, I agree. Gives me chills everytime. Still like that CD, though I find myself skipping some of it. Some of the Glen Frey slow country ballad type stuff puts me to sleep.

If anybody knows of a place in the Atlanta area where I can order a poster that has Kimbrel and Venters together (or with O’Flaherty on it if they’re marketing it that way), or even one of Kimbrel or Venters alone, shoot me a link or a way of getting ahold of the store,
I can’t find anything online. Just sites that have multiple old posters like Justice, Gant, Glaving, Chipper, etc….

Lew and Wayne, I’m a huge KISS fan, and when I was younger got into all of their compilation and concert dvd’s (actually most of it was on VHS), and used to love all the interviews and stuff.
One of my favorite Paul Stanley lines in one of those interviews where he was tooting their own horn, went something like…..

Nathan – Yeah, I hear you. Went to an Old Timers’ Game in ST. Pete at Spring Training some years back with Kevin Costner and Tom Selleck playing with the NL and AL respectively.
Walsh and Glenn Frey did the National Anthem on acoustic guitar. Walsh was so stoned he could barely sing. Not so sure I would have equated him with a Super Hero that particular time.

Murph, actually over the course of his career Uggla has performed better in the number three spot than the number four spot in the order. But I seriously doubt there is a significant difference for him regarding comfort level or anything like that in one spot versus another.

Absolutely Lew. Everything I end up doing with the sports photos are from jpegs. One of the labs that I use for my 16×20s that I do of my kids each year, has some really cool canvaas type finishes and laminates that they can do to make photos look like old paintings or kind of vintage. So I’m guessing one of your drawings would look awesome with one of those. Almost too many to choose from. We try and do a different one every year to change it up. Some are better than others.
But yeah, when you get it done, shoot me an email and we’ll work it out. I’ll buy yours for you as a gift in return for you doing all the work.
