Jurrjens has become difficult to watch since the all-star break. Always in trouble and always trying to find his command.

Top 5 worst Braves hitters (Recent):

1. Corky Miller
2. Chris Woodward
3. Reggie Sanders
4. Raul Mondesi
5. Alex Gonzalez

I thought Vinny Castilla was good enough for #4, but after looking at the numbers he was decent. Seemed like he was much worse.

seeing those names brings back nightmares of past seasons. Especially 2008 with Miller and 2007 with Woodward. Those seasons were exercises in mediocrity while Sanders, Mondesi, and Gonzo played on teams that eventually made the playoffs.

Long term – JJ or Hanson? I like JJ better even with his 2nd half struggles and his injury sheet. Hanson’s pitching style has me worried. His velocity, even more than JJ’s, would worry me more. JJ can control his offspeed stuff okay while Hanson doesn’t yet have a real good slider and his curveball gets laid off more than jobs around the country. Not a huge Hanson fan anyways.
