That last at bat by the BRAVES illustrates exactly why a NL team must not have any donuts in their line-up 1-8. GONZO and HEYWARD…….come on, some serious pitches to hit.

Seabass has got to be the worst hitter in the world with runners in scoring position. Anybody have the stats on that? It has to be around 2 for 55. It seems that everytime we get the bases loaded with no out that goon comes up. Mr. Automatic Out.

Honestly, I’m not too upset with that inning, even though we only got one run. We load the bases with nobody out, then Alex, Heyward, and Jurrjens coming up. Alex is pretty much an automatic out, lucky he didnt ground into a DP. Heyward I thought put three really good swings on the ball, especially driving it deep to the opposite field for the sac fly. And then Jurrjens comes up, automatic out. So wish we couldve had more, but not too bad.

Lame scoring on that E…seemed like Freddie got a piece of it and very well could have caught it. Guy still would have been safe, but he at least wouldn’t have advanced…
But what do I know? They always give it to the guy who throws the ball unless it’s a play-at-the-plate…

I don’t usually watch the Braves on TV, but I’m travelling this week and for some reason even though the TV preview channel shows the Braves playing on FSSOUTH, but instead I am seeing a poker tournament. Hotel is in Mississippi. Can anyone enlighten me as to why they do this?
