Great pitching and great hitters. Let’s turn TURNER into a CBP. Bring in the fences. Hey, a tempoary chain-link one about six-feet high ought to do it. Say 380 to dead center, 320 down either line.

Heyward would have started tomorrow anyway due to the unofficial “give him another day” policy the Braves have for injured players. But it really would serve the Braves well if he was the starting right fielder, hitting like he’s supposed to.

VJ here is a question for you…368′ to left center with a 11′ or 16′ wall at wrigley and 380′ to left center in turner field with an 8′ wall (just pulling stats off the internet so they could be wrong). How much difference does that make for a HR to clear the wall?

noliee, do you think Gonzo is a poor defensive player as well? because he only has 3 less errors than uggla. just sayin OY

serious? SS is a much more difficult position and they almost always have higher error totals than second basemen do. But it is the combination of errors plus lack of range that damns Uggla. lotsa errors + low range = bleh.
Gonzo has a lot of range and some of his errors are due to that.
