Are the babies done squalling now?
Oh come on, T. Tell me you’re not intrigued? I ran out and bought creamsicle Oreos after McFann told me about them a few months ago. Good stuff.
Orr, Fredi did a fine job. Thinking he was trying to give Venters a day off, threw a lot of pitches last night and worked the day before as well. Can’t kill our relief. You wouldn’t understand pee wee ball apparently.
So does Fredo throw E or Johnny in the 8th
JC from DR!
Wow… can’t believe they actually managed to get out of that jam.
Linebrink for Cy
thank you for swinging at the first pitch! Now time to turn it over to EOF/Kimbrel
P B Orr
It’s just ridiculous to go through this. We’ve got stone kids in the pen with all the fire of the young and the stamina too, and some bald-headed poser who was never worth a damn as a player is worried about using them. It’s just plan stupid baseball and it’s gonna cost us in the end.

He’s got three guys with under 2 ERAs and he throw the two biggest choking losers at them in a critical game.
Them 3 guys lead the league in appearances Fredi is doing the right thing like it or not,you cannot run EOF,Venters and Kimbrel out there every damn night in August with a 9.5 game lead in the WC,If you want to be able to have them pitch in the playoffs.
McFann :Ô: :Ô:
Whew!! Nicely done, pitcher!
Dad and Brother found them in Kansas this weekend (Brother starts school this week), they are YUMMY! Milk is good, though—with those 3 cookies, it helps to have them softened. Yeah, you gotta try them!
August 23rd, 201110:28 pm
3 hits for the Old Man
Sheesh. That was a big-time hook.
If everything holds Braves will be 9 1/2 ahead. STL also losing 11-0
I like how Chipper is swinging the bat right now.
Did I just see Chpper hitting 280??
The jackasses are out in hordes tonight I see.
wow Georgie and the young fireballer do the job… good work boys. and wow freddie u make the right moves for once in this game.
August 23rd, 201110:29 pm
Chip is swinging the lumber. Ventrebel to close it?
higher than that now JIP
PBOrr is obviously a sprinter
Yeah, I actually agreed with FG here. You can’t run those guys out every night. Plus, what’s the point of having an 8 1/2 game lead in the WC if you don’t rest your players a little.
Tough to score for Atlanta vs lefties
Frank from KS (now living in CO)
3/4 night for ole Hoss
It has been lobbed
Think they’ll come back, N Nine?
T for Texas
I’m a fundamentalist, Soph. Not intrigued in the least. I know all I need to know with chocolate and cream icing. And I hate neapolitain ice cream.
what about the guy behind home plate with the green neon jersey and pink hat…Chi town…Only in Chi town
August 23rd, 201110:30 pm
lawyer, its prolly gonna be OBrel tonight
Kyle Davies 2.0
Where was Chipper on that?
what was chipper doing eating dinner
that’s why you keep going hard Chipper … don’t assume anything
Wow…. that will be a fine…. or should be.
nolie – from a gas perspective do you worry more about jonny who faded about this time last year or craig who hasn’t had this workload at the major league level before?
No big deal, Chipper. Stay healthy. It’s not worth an injury to save one effing out.
Come on Mr. veteran
Chipper screwed that up but oh well….
Cubs “want” this guys.
August 23rd, 201110:31 pm
Chipper might never score another run in his career hitting 6th
Its really annoying that crappy defensive teams always step it up against us
Well, dang. Started off well, ended very badly.
A less stressful eighth inning would be greatly appreciated here.
Nice job! That’s the way to get back at them!
Where is Brother going to school in Kansas? I have nephews in school there.
T, I don’t care for Neapolitan ice cream either but all of that in a cookie has me mystified. Sounds delish.
August 23rd, 201110:32 pm
I’m just glad it wasn’t Escobar….that pulled that lousy baserunning crap…
Odds Chipper hurt himself on awkward slide into 2nd?
“That tubbo baldy cannot manage pee wee ball.
but hey that’s not hate”
that’s cus it’s not bigoted, racist or homophobic, nolie.
Alex Gonzalez: double play specialist. On the field, and at the plate.
cab, you may have connected because he’s M.I.A. for the moment. Not that I’m complaining.
August 23rd, 201110:33 pm
Don’t even say it, jipwiz…
Has anyone heard from Trey? Haven’t seen him around lately.
McFann – yeah, where in Kansas is your brother going to school?
Well, I hope you enjoy them, Soph. I dont wanna force my cookie morality on others.
I like leaving Viz in there……..
August 23rd, 201110:34 pm
Nice first out
That swing was pitiful…sorryano
Why Does it seem That Sorryano hits in Every inning?
Ditto for Ramirez
And Ho Sit Down Sorry-Ano!
August 23rd, 201110:35 pm
The kid is nasty, no doubt
Is Barney up every third time
yeah, who gets onto chipper for lollygagging?
i imagine our offense being MUCH better if Fredi moves Chipper back to where he belongs, and McCann back to where he belongs, which is the 4 hole.
darwin schafer is up
August 23rd, 201110:36 pm
“Has anyone heard from Trey? Haven’t seen him around lately.”
He’s Cool, I see him on facebook all the time…
maybe Fredi he wants 2 days off for Kimbrel, I agree with that
August 23rd, 201110:37 pm
Very bad decision if Fredi doesn’t let Kimbrel close.
Finish off the purple dinosauar, Arodys!
Brother goes to Benedictine. He really loves it!
Sopheee all of that in a cookie has me mystified. Sounds delish.
It is! Be sure and lemme know if you find them!
Why hasn’t he been on here, Tomahawkin? Did something happen?

K-Rod Francisco Gonzalez had 62 saves one year. He wasn’t a kid. He was a baseball player doing his job.
Hey Tomahawkin – yeah, I decided to come check out the blog.
Yeah, Chipper’s sure been doing good lately…should try him in the 3 spot…
Well done, Viz…
August 23rd, 201110:39 pm
Go ahead, Viz!
Duke is a very good athlete.
Nice inning for the kid…love to see that.
Nobody Beats The VIZ!
way to go VIZ! Kid’s gonna be really good!
96 96 83 83 (crap) 96 96 82 (hanger) 96 96
Are you kidding me…now that is consistent….
Ugh! Suntrust commercial! Blegth…
maybe j-hey can tell him “chipper at 80% is safe without sliding”
Definitely, McF. Thanks for sharing – I’ll be on the lookout.
August 23rd, 201110:40 pm
Linebrink is better than Vizcaino…easily.
Hubby has already gone to bed. Means I probably won’t sleep again tonight. Finish this game off quickly boys so I can be in bed by 11:15 or so. Damn, 5 a.m. is going to come early.
August 23rd, 201110:41 pm
You’re welcome! Hope when you do find them, you like ‘em…
Hopefully lucky charms can get the save
Chipper scored a run on Heyward blind luick grandslam tonight
Remember last year when our bullpen got tired?? Don’t be an idiot, we have an 8.5 game lead no need in killing the bullpen. A rested bullpen going into the playoffs gives us the advantage we need against a team like the Phillies.
AZ won, SF down early
August 23rd, 201110:42 pm
Another thing Fredi is accomplishing by pitching these guys in a tight game is building some confidence (visciano esp) …..C- mart and Visciano to go along with Sherrill for 6th and 7th inning duty just makes the braves better.
Another lead off hit
That will work…
August 23rd, 201110:43 pm
Husker Tony, that’s loser talk. We can still catch the Phils. That’s winner talk. You play like winners, you win. You play like losers, you lose.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
