I guess even the most popular show around has fewer watchers than non-watchers.
I watched it to begin with because Patricia used to be pretty hot, unfortunately not in the show. but it did have more family elements than most crime shows
August 13th, 201112:19 am
Venters dislocating his shoulder and Kimbrel getting his fingers stepped on and breaking his pitching hand after Soriano takes one to the ribs that’s showing them who is boss and the team won’t stand for pitchers throwing at Braves hitters. Let’s start a brawl
August 13th, 201112:20 am
I missed the earlier talk about it, but I guess you are tutoring Maria Lark now?
August 13th, 201112:21 am
nolie – it was funny a few days ago when Patricia Arquette popped up on Facebook as a potential friend since we had a friend in common…
I was always partial to her sister…
August 13th, 201112:22 am
nolie – that is correct…
“Gordon, yeah but you gotta let them know we’re not taking any mess from anybody. Soriano is a perfect candidate for a heater in the ribs. Never liked the guy anyways and he loves to pose after he thinks he’s gotten a hold of one no matter the score.”
Agreed! Fans are so Cautious/cuddly now…Back in the 60’s That was the norm for players to Go all out and Not Put up with Bush League Shyt… Atlanta Fans are so soft! Philly, Boston, New York, LA and SF fans would’ve been rowdy if Big Z and Sorryano did the Bush League Shyt they did to their teams
Why do most of our fans give them a Pass…The 1991 Team and its fans would not have put up with it if the Dodgers (Our rival team back then) had did that crap to us????
Cole Hamels listed as a DEAD ARM in the injury list. He has a 2-3 record since the break with around 3.60 ERA. Looks like the kid is getting tired, some arm problems in the past.
Polanco is probable out for the season with a hernia.
Right now, as well as the phillies are playing, if you go position by position, I dont see any position where the phillies are outplaying us:
C Mc vs Ruiz (Mc is about to come back and is playing better than Ruiz by far)
1B Freddie is hitting better than Howard
2B Uggla is the hottest hitter in baseball (no wait, that is Constanza), better than Utley as we speak
3B Chipper is the best in clutch right now, better than whomever they put outther
SS Gonzalez is out weakest point and he was on a god hitting streak just snapped but hitting above .275. Rollins is still much better, but Gonzalez showed some offense last 2 weeks.
LF Prado is better than whomever they put outhere
CF Bourn is neck to neck with Victorino
RF I know Pence is the better one here but Constanza is the hot hand……….so its fair to say Pence is not outplaying Constanza (since constanza came up)
So……….is this phillies team really better than us?
I thought Patricia was cuter but her sister was a better actress
August 13th, 201112:24 am
Not 2 Menton 1/2 of our team looks like Football players! We would’ve won in a royal rumble
The Cubs and their fans are jabrones!
great night to be at the ted.
went up to the 755 club in the 7th and it was a who’s who.
braves legends walking around everywhere.
August 13th, 201112:25 am
loved her beating up Gandolfini with the toilet top
Tomahawkin’ – I would like to know how many games you watched in the ’60’s…(not that I do not know the answer)…no one would have been as dumb as he was there…
August 13th, 201112:27 am
gotta say though minor’s whip tonight was around 2.
his change looked good but he has to come inside with velocity to make that an out pitch.
Does the word playoffs register in the minds of fans? The Braves are one or two injuries away from missing the playoffs. I love a good fist fight especially when I am in it. I love the sound of cracking bones, but I know when to kick your butt and when not too
August 13th, 201112:28 am
DOB, during the bobby thing someone should of done a better job with the music que.
August 13th, 201112:29 am
male hormones running rampant on the ol’ blog tonight
I never said Mc is not a superstar, but you have to agree he is not at Chippers level. Chipper was a more complete player than what Mc is at his age.
August 13th, 201112:30 am
I am watching the replay game and I saw Zambrano taking off his jersey after throwing at Jones and that dude had the nerve to crack a smile while talking to the cameraman after getting tossed.
“DOB, during the bobby thing someone should of done a better job with the music que.”
Yeah, Rock On! Let Me Do It!
August 13th, 201112:31 am
Chipper was a better hitter, not sure about the more complete player thing since he was not a very good third baseman, certainly no better than Mac is catcher
uga-brave – I agree about the music during ceremony. I thought the players should had come up to speak without those 80’s metal songs. Also the Bobby Cox music sounded like Star Wars.
So we are already in. Braves look unbeatable right now, even with SP doing so so right now.
August 13th, 201112:32 am
I am calling for cooler heads to prevail and the Braves players were smart enough not to start something and some intoxicated fans want to see blood because it makes their testosterone flow
So we are already in. Braves look unbeatable right now
‘I am watching the replay game and I saw Zambrano taking off his jersey after throwing at Jones and that dude had the nerve to crack a smile while talking to the cameraman after getting tossed.”
Now You See Why I was So P’d Off and Saying that we need to drill someone, both Big Z and Sorryano made a Mockery Tonight and fans on here take it lightly in a Blowout win, That was Bush league in what those 2 did???
And everyone thinks I’m crazy? Go Figure?
August 13th, 201112:33 am
Tomahawkin – I don’t think Bobby would come out to Right Stuff by New Kids on the Block. JK.
tip of the cap to cubs players and coaches on the top step when bobby went by.
somewhere there was robert having buyers remorse.
August 13th, 201112:34 am
We were watching at work and the music was definitely the topic of choice during the pregame festivities. It was awful.
August 13th, 201112:35 am
nolie, fear the beer men. their top three are good and grienke is becoming nasty.
Tomahawkin, I don’t think the Braves should drill someone for Carlos Zambrano. No one should be hit because Zambrano wanted to be a little pansy.
And everyone thinks I’m crazy? Go Figure?…T’h
not hard to figger , you are crazy .aintcha got a football game to watch so you can work it out of your system?
August 13th, 201112:36 am
I guess the Bobby Cox ceremony music sounded like Star Wars since he was Yoda of the Braves.
August 13th, 201112:38 am
So there was a 6 on every base tonight? Hmmmm… 666.
August 13th, 201112:39 am
You want to retaliate? Do it next year and drill Zambrano early in the year first chance you get. That jerk ain’t retiring. Too much money left on his contract.
August 13th, 201112:40 am
and a Devilish good time was had by all Just Sayin
August 13th, 201112:42 am
Gordon, if Zambrano is back on the team.
Let’s count up – one for retaliation – everyone else for Zambrano’s an idiot, not worth the potential cost… hmmm…
August 13th, 201112:43 am
Wish I would have went to the game tonight, seemed like an electric atmosphere there. Would have loved to see Z give up all those HRs. Had a ride there, place to stay, ride back.. but all that lacked was the funds. Should have borrowed some and went. Then tonight, got two free tix to Sunday’s game, but I still lack the funds to get there. Anyone in Statesboro wanna give me a ride, got a ticket for ya.
August 13th, 201112:44 am
I agree Venice Jim
August 13th, 201112:46 am
You have a very short memory.
Chipper prime years are gone yet still he has a .304 lifetime BA and a .403 OBP and slugging .532. Mc is at his prime right now and he not even close to Chipper in any of those (.291/.361/.492) . Brian is not getting any better, he is at the top of his game right now. Once he is 35, stats will start to slip. What Chipper has done, winning batting title at age 38, looking like SUPERMAN at age 38, that is just something to tip your hat to.
And please, lets not talk about Mc defense, because to me, it is horrible, he has been in the majors for 6 seasons and still has not learned to block a pitch in the dirt, he is still trying to play billy the kid role and stop it with and inverted glove move as if he was a SS.
Chipper has never been Brooks Robinson, but I have always felt more comfortable with him at 3B than with Mc catching (Im talking defense here), besides, since Chipper came back from LF to 3B, he has played a very good ·3B defensively (just my opinion, Im not saying your opinion is not valid)
August 13th, 201112:47 am
not one cub player in that dugout came over to the Zpack when he got tossed.
not one player not one coach.
by the way there were at least seven guys sitting on the rail close to third base in the cubs dugout (dempster included) that never flinched while Z walked off.
August 13th, 201112:48 am
I see you have your ROCKY BALBOA gloves on tonight.
August 13th, 201112:49 am

are you incapable of reading and understanding what the F you read.?I said Chipper was a better hitter. And I tested out in the top one tenth of one percent on memory retention during grad school doofus.
August 13th, 201112:52 am
chiiper in the two hole when macc comes back right?
bourn, chip, freeman, uggla, macc, prado.
chip sees pitches takes pitches.
August 13th, 201112:54 am
fredo has to see this right? yeah.
August 13th, 201112:55 am
probably not Uga. Fredi has his own perspective it seems
scoots had the line of the month in regard to our current manager.
August 13th, 201112:56 am
would you hit chipper 2nd?
Clap clap clap, good for you noliee.
And how did you do on your swearing test?
Im sure you did very good there also.
August 13th, 201112:57 am
I’m pretty sure I would have left a LAD/HOU 0-0 game in the 5th, definitely wouldn’t stick it out until the 10th.
August 13th, 201112:59 am
I would think about it Uga, but as I have said any number of times, I agree with the philosophy that for the most part line up construction makes not much difference over the long term.
I can see why you suggest that and I can see why some say the 5 hole. I lean more toward two or three but not all that strongly
August 13th, 20111:02 am
August 13th, 20111:04 am
saw marvin freeman, mike bilecki, chris hammond, crimedawg, klesko, mecker, keith lockhart, brian mitchell, brian (big game) hunter, javy, among others.
all having fun.
kudos to JS, first class.
August 13th, 20111:07 am
GG TTFN y’all
August 13th, 20111:08 am
nolie, it would not be terrible to slide macc in the six hole.
i like chip hitting behind uggla. macc’s gonna hit. does not matter the spot.
August 13th, 20111:09 am
“Tomahawkin – I don’t think Bobby would come out to Right Stuff by New Kids on the Block. JK.”
That Made Me Smile… lol
And BTW The New Kids On The Block ‘The Right Stuff Video is good shyt! Especially the Choreography, Just like old New Edition videos
August 13th, 20111:14 am
tigger, four birdies five double boggies.
unreal. five doubles. five doubles are made of 18 handicaps.
August 13th, 20111:18 am
Are the guys who wanted Uggla to go to AAA here?? I can never find them these days just pisses me off. I don’t know where they went. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
August 13th, 20111:22 am
Tiger had 9 total double bogies in his whole career coming into this weekend. That is crazy.
August 13th, 20111:25 am
Here comes the Giants and their spectacular pitching staff…………Dannys streak is in jeopardy.
doubt that stat. you are saying in his competitive career he has made nine doubles?
really doubt that. know of five he made at augusta.
August 13th, 20111:30 am
My bad read that wrong. 11 doubles in his PGA career. Still crazy. 936 holes only 11 doubles. 36 holes and he has 5
PGA Championship career. Should have been specific.
August 13th, 20111:36 am
gotta admitt i would rather play the giants then the brewers.
grienke, gallardo, and marcum are all pitching well.
August 13th, 20111:38 am
And their hitting is twice as good at least. Brewers are tough right now. BUT those guys haven’t won before in the playoffs so safe bet would be to play Brew Crew.
August 13th, 20111:39 am
husker still you are correct. hard to believe he made five doubles today.
the guys in my skins group rarely make five doubles in one round.
August 13th, 20111:42 am
Hello every one! If you don’t agree with Doc he might shoot you?small joke…….
August 13th, 20111:43 am
Have you ever played on the course they are playing at?? Looks gorgeous on TV just curious.
So whats up with Zambrano? Does he need his momma……..
You do not put Chipper in the 2 hole because he is a run producer and our best hitter with runners in scoring position. This is how I see it stacking up:
Bourn – CF
Prado – LF
Mac – C
Uggs – 2B
Freddie – 1B
Chipper – 3B
Alex – SS
Constanza – RF
I just got chills…this lineup is going to crush. If JJ and Tommy come back healthy and even close to their 1st halves, its all over but the crying for the Wild Card.
August 13th, 20111:44 am
husker i dont know, there are a ton of outs in that giants lineup.
gonna see soon. the giants and d’backs series at home are gonnna let us know.
Doc: Didn’t you die at the end of Tombstone?
August 13th, 20111:48 am
Phillies losing on John Kruk night! priceless………………………….
husker played aac a ton of times. not from 7500 yards.
15 playing 260, and 18 playing 506 as a par four is tough.
18 plays as par five for members.
Balance (Left-Right all the way down), power, speed..its the whole package. This is going to be fun the rest of the way.
I haven’t been this psyched about a Braves team in years.
August 13th, 20111:50 am
I always thought seed was great……………
August 13th, 20111:51 am
Meant to say speed. It can do so much for your offense. Just like I always pictured it to be……….
August 13th, 20111:52 am
Agreed rowsdower, a healthy full lineup, feel like they are going to mash, only time will tell though. Really looking forward to Mac coming back, going to make this lineup look a lot more potent to opposing pitchers.
August 13th, 20111:53 am
Nice. Yeah that makes for some insanely long holes. This weekend should be fun to watch. Are you going to watch live at all? Or have you already this week?
August 13th, 20111:54 am
18 doglegs left. these guys are hittig it through the fairway right or into that right bunker.
from there it is 200 plus to the green over water.
gonna be very few birdies.
last four are really tough the way it will play the last two days.
watch out for jim furyk my pick to win it.
You have to admit that seed in the lineup is great as well. Without seed you have nothing….(sorry had to do it
August 13th, 20111:57 am
husker too crowded for me. will watch just like you on tv.
I know Heyward is going to be a beast in his career, but to all those that think he should be starting instead of Constanza, this game is a microcosm of why he shouldn’t.
Constanza lays down a perfect safety squeeze to get a run in
Constanza jacks an opposite field bomb
Constanza smokes one off the pitcher and reaches on an error. He then goes 1st to 3rd on a hit to RF (Heyward doesn’t get to 3rd there) and scores on a sac fly. We don’t get that run if Heyward is in.
2 RBI and 2 runs from the 8 hole.
Good luck getting ABs for a while J-Hey…
Since John Kruk was honored by the Phillie Faithful. Do you think he will pick the Phillies to win the Division again next year? Yeah, I would say so……
August 13th, 20111:58 am
If Furyk can make some putts he is a money pick, but hes been sketchy on the greens lately, definitely missed a couple he shouldn’t have today. I think someone who hasn’t won before takes the cake. I think scores will be very average this weekend but someone will go low tomorrow that is close to the lead and I think hangs on to win it. Scott is still very dangerous at -2 look out for him to make a run, he screwed up at 18 today.
Husker Tony: It’s O.k! I’ve been having fun with the Phillie fans…….
August 13th, 20112:00 am
Ward, being a Braves fan I think I would pick them as well…….pretty safe pick. Braves have a great record should be great next year, but the Phillies pretty much never lose.
August 13th, 20112:02 am
lol ward, get em!
We all should do a 23 post Phillie rip……..That would be priceless………
August 13th, 20112:04 am
Sorry off topic. Rex Grossman predicted the Redskins will win the NFC east. What?
August 13th, 20112:05 am
I predict Rex Grossman, will be back to awful Gross……………….
August 13th, 20112:07 am
LOL that guy just isn’t a football player that will succeed. Sick to think he made the Super Bowl, even though it was all his defense………………………………….
August 13th, 20112:08 am
I love how ESPN worships the Eagles, and Vick!
Do you think there is anyway Fredi uses that lineup?? I can’t see him putting Chip that low but I agree with way you put it. That line up is scary if guys keep doing what they are doing and stay healthy.
August 13th, 20112:10 am
Redskins will finish behind the New York Giants.Dallas will finish forth, and Giants will be head to head with the awful Eagles for first Place.
August 13th, 20112:11 am
You have to admit they added a ton of talent BUT look at the Heat, didn’t work out so welllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
August 13th, 20112:13 am
I think Chipper will do whatever’s best for the team. If anyone knows a thing or two about Championship calaber teams, it’s Chipper. He would love nothing more than to make a deep run in the playoffs, and if that means hitting 6th with all these guys on in front of him, he would do it in a heartbeat.
He also knows the weight of the world is no longer on his shoulders to be the Man. I think he would welcome it with the way we’ve been raking the last couple weeks.
August 13th, 20112:14 am
If I were Grossman, and showed up to camp overweight, I wouldn’t say a damn word. He has never been a good QB and to put a target on his back just proves he’s as dumb as he is bad.
August 13th, 20112:15 am
I’m excited about Victor Cruz for the Giants. a lot faster than Steve Smith, and can flat out catch…….
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
