I guess even the most popular show around has fewer watchers than non-watchers.
I watched it to begin with because Patricia used to be pretty hot, unfortunately not in the show. but it did have more family elements than most crime shows

Venters dislocating his shoulder and Kimbrel getting his fingers stepped on and breaking his pitching hand after Soriano takes one to the ribs that’s showing them who is boss and the team won’t stand for pitchers throwing at Braves hitters. Let’s start a brawl

“Gordon, yeah but you gotta let them know we’re not taking any mess from anybody. Soriano is a perfect candidate for a heater in the ribs. Never liked the guy anyways and he loves to pose after he thinks he’s gotten a hold of one no matter the score.”

Agreed! Fans are so Cautious/cuddly now…Back in the 60’s That was the norm for players to Go all out and Not Put up with Bush League Shyt… Atlanta Fans are so soft! Philly, Boston, New York, LA and SF fans would’ve been rowdy if Big Z and Sorryano did the Bush League Shyt they did to their teams

Why do most of our fans give them a Pass…The 1991 Team and its fans would not have put up with it if the Dodgers (Our rival team back then) had did that crap to us????

Cole Hamels listed as a DEAD ARM in the injury list. He has a 2-3 record since the break with around 3.60 ERA. Looks like the kid is getting tired, some arm problems in the past.

Polanco is probable out for the season with a hernia.

Right now, as well as the phillies are playing, if you go position by position, I dont see any position where the phillies are outplaying us:

C Mc vs Ruiz (Mc is about to come back and is playing better than Ruiz by far)
1B Freddie is hitting better than Howard
2B Uggla is the hottest hitter in baseball (no wait, that is Constanza), better than Utley as we speak
3B Chipper is the best in clutch right now, better than whomever they put outther
SS Gonzalez is out weakest point and he was on a god hitting streak just snapped but hitting above .275. Rollins is still much better, but Gonzalez showed some offense last 2 weeks.
LF Prado is better than whomever they put outhere
CF Bourn is neck to neck with Victorino
RF I know Pence is the better one here but Constanza is the hot hand……….so its fair to say Pence is not outplaying Constanza (since constanza came up)

So……….is this phillies team really better than us?

Lookout !!!!!!!!!!!

noliee,

You have a very short memory.

Chipper prime years are gone yet still he has a .304 lifetime BA and a .403 OBP and slugging .532. Mc is at his prime right now and he not even close to Chipper in any of those (.291/.361/.492) . Brian is not getting any better, he is at the top of his game right now. Once he is 35, stats will start to slip. What Chipper has done, winning batting title at age 38, looking like SUPERMAN at age 38, that is just something to tip your hat to.

And please, lets not talk about Mc defense, because to me, it is horrible, he has been in the majors for 6 seasons and still has not learned to block a pitch in the dirt, he is still trying to play billy the kid role and stop it with and inverted glove move as if he was a SS.

Chipper has never been Brooks Robinson, but I have always felt more comfortable with him at 3B than with Mc catching (Im talking defense here), besides, since Chipper came back from LF to 3B, he has played a very good ·3B defensively (just my opinion, Im not saying your opinion is not valid)

You do not put Chipper in the 2 hole because he is a run producer and our best hitter with runners in scoring position. This is how I see it stacking up:

Bourn – CF
Prado – LF
Mac – C
Uggs – 2B
Freddie – 1B
Chipper – 3B
Alex – SS
Constanza – RF

I know Heyward is going to be a beast in his career, but to all those that think he should be starting instead of Constanza, this game is a microcosm of why he shouldn’t.

Constanza lays down a perfect safety squeeze to get a run in
Constanza jacks an opposite field bomb
Constanza smokes one off the pitcher and reaches on an error. He then goes 1st to 3rd on a hit to RF (Heyward doesn’t get to 3rd there) and scores on a sac fly. We don’t get that run if Heyward is in.

2 RBI and 2 runs from the 8 hole.

Good luck getting ABs for a while J-Hey…

If Furyk can make some putts he is a money pick, but hes been sketchy on the greens lately, definitely missed a couple he shouldn’t have today. I think someone who hasn’t won before takes the cake. I think scores will be very average this weekend but someone will go low tomorrow that is close to the lead and I think hangs on to win it.
