Shaun – They’ve been the best hitters because of their combination of getting on base and hitting for power.
Freeman has been a better hitter than Ryan Howard this season, too, but guess who has a lot more RBI?

Freeman 114 Hits / 39 BB ( 153 times on base) 25-2B / 0-3B / 15-HR / 52-RBI’s
Seems to me Howard is just as good getting on base and better at hitting for power. But that’s just my observation of useless stats.

@Phillstein – That is very similar to The Rolling stones, who admired Muddy waters. myth has it that muddy waters was painting or doing maintenance at a studio in chicago when the stones did something there.

Yeah – he graduated summ cum laude, (Phi betta kappa) from Pamona College, Rhodes Scholar, Oxford – so………..yeah, I knew he was smart. Joined the army, helicopter pilot.
But he decided to become a songwriter and his family disowned him
Wiki: After being honorably discharged from the Army in 1965, Kristofferson moved to Nashville. He worked at a variety of odd jobs while struggling for success in music, burdened with medical expenses resulting from his son’s defective esophagus. He and his wife soon divorced.
He got a job sweeping floors at Columbia Studios in Nashville. There he met Johnny Cash, who initially accepted some of Kristofferson’s songs but chose not to use them. During Kristofferson’s janitorial stint for Columbia, Bob Dylan recorded his landmark 1966 album Blonde on Blonde at the studio. Though he had the opportunity to watch some of Dylan’s recording sessions, Kristofferson never met Dylan out of fear that he would be fired for approaching him
