Why does everyone hate Crisp so much? He might actually be an OK fit. Seems like he and Williangham both (and maybe Balfour) could all come cheap as salary dumps. Didn’t realize how much they all made – why would A’s hold on to them this year?

I know that’s not the best trio we could get, but would you lose any of the bix six prospects to take them on?

Another fear with Bourn, is that SB will not be much of a factor if he arrives in Atlanta – just seems to always work that way when Braves acquire a SB threat.

I don’t think that will be the case with Gonzalez as the manager… that’s why he loves Schafer so much.

7 strong innings by Huddy tonight … thats what I’m talkin about… we need more of that down the stretch with our starters. JJ went 7 his last outing and we saw Beachy go 7 last night. Tommy has gone 6 his last two with wins so a positive there – not to mention he has gone 7 innings seven times this year… and DLowe well looking at his stats for the year he has gone to the 7th inning only TWICE (April 10 and May 17th) a win and a loss respectively. Lets hope Derek gets rolling again like he did last year down the stretch. He was lights out the last month of the season and in the NLDS vs. SF.

Cleveland, basically a .500 ball club going all in to win the division. And can as weak of a division in which they find themselves this year. I wonder if the Cleveland moves will make the White Sox re-think their chances this year and that is what is holding up a Bourn to Atlanta deal?

Whoever said it is right. Hinske has lots of problems with offspeed hence the reason the he is not a fulltime player. Great fastball hitter and great pickup, but not a everyday player. Pretty sure he’s hit a couple of breaking pitches though for basehits on occasion, it is possible.

.Huge difference in defense and arm.

Which will not make a difference come trade time. Pierre had the image of a good defensive player in 2005. What you would have given up for the perceived image and value of Pierre back then should be similar to what you would give up for Bourn today

Yeah, but Fredi seems like he wants people to steal. Schafer wasn’t much of a stolen base threat in the minors, but he’s been stealing alot in the majors this year even though he barely ever gets on base

Heath – I was one who thought the Carlos “Hard Hittin” Quinten talks seemed a bit of a stretch seeing that the White Sox are right in the race to win that division… it might only need 85 wins to do so. I would be shocked if Chicago would do anything seeing a 3+ deficit is obtainable in that division. Cleveland and Detroit dont impress me much and watch out but the Twinkies are only 6 out. I say a very average AL Central to say the least.

I agree he doesn’t look good. Last year his numbers dropped significantly in the middle of the season, and it turns out he had a physical problem (wrist, maybe?) that he apparently hadn’t told anyone (and I mean including manager, trainer, general manager) about.
