I find it ridiculous that we’d be willing to give up one of our top prospects for an old, injury prone, rental player, yet we won’t throw in an extra prospect or two for a far younger and more productive player simply because he’ll make $10 million next year (which in all honesty is less than he probably deserves).

If the Mets don’t think Beltran can play CF for them, a tema that is not expecting to make the playoffs, how are the Braves expecting him to be able to do it for them?
His bat would be a positive for the lineup, but his defense would take away from the Braves performance.

Braves have zero power arms in the rotation. Even Tommy has inly been @ 89 if late.Everyone tops out at 90 , maybe. I hope they make the post season but power arms win Championships. JJ @ 87 not good with bad location. Wow two bombs awesome!!!

Heyward and McCann go back-to-back on consecutive pitches off Arroyo. last time Braves went back-to-back was June 10 at Houston. They’ve done it three times this year.

It’s almost as if Alex Gonzalez has just given up even trying to get a hit. He just goes up there like he is warming up to take BP. Can we please please please please trade for a new SS – one that can actually hit the ball and get on base better than a .250 obp clip…Alex is awful at the plate, his defense doesn’t make up for his automatic out syndrome….

I know AGon is a good glove man but, for crying out loud, the team seriously needs to look at upgrading at that position for someone who can hit a little bit better.
