They don’t need a hitter. They need a healthy Chipper and Jason Heyward to be the player he was last year. The pieces are present on this ball club. They could use a righty bat and pen arm, but nothing significant.

This is not good. JJ having a bad start after Hanson’s bad start. Will not be a good start to lose 2 out of 3 to the Nationals off the break, especially if we lose a game in the standings.
The Braves will NEVER be as good as the Phillies or go any further until they can beat the Nationals.

Well, this offense certainly isn’t coming back. The Nats offense isn’t that good to rough up both Tommy and JJ. Poor execution and bad location. If you are pitching to contact, you better hit your spots.

Only a woman would say: Cooper asked David Ross if he could put on his catcher’s mask. Sure enough Ross complied and the 3-year-old Proctor got to wear the hockey style catcher’s make and crouch down for a photo. Cute stuff.
