I don’t get what people are worried about. I don’t think the Braves are a great team, but they’ve got as good a shot as any team in the NL of making it to the World Series. As long as Uggla and Heyward pick it up in the second half, the hitting will be fine. Besides, haven’t you noticed that the Braves seem to be taking care of business? They’ve been making it look easy for quite a while. You should have some confidence in this club. They are going to the postseason.

Heyward doesn’t have very much loft in that swing, therefore you’re going to see a lot of balls hit into the dirt. I still think he can hit 35 bombs in a season. .500+ slugging will occur in his future.

It Is. I’m Making it a Priority not to get P’d off in his atbats. The Hitting he had in Toronto was an aberration. I don’t know why so many fans on here thought he could hit 25 homers in the NL when most of the ballparks in the League favor the pitcher?

Quick thing about the soccer match..Part of me would be happy if Japan won today. After what they just suffered and still are going through, a World Cup win would lift the whole spirits of the entire country. It reminds me of when New Orleans won the Super Bowl after Katrina. They need it.

Sometimes, JJ, you don’t want to pitch to contact. Sometimes, it would be nice to be able to reach back and hit 94 or 95 like you used to.

Also, Tommy hit 96 consistently when he was first called up. Now he hits 90, 91 consistently with an occasional 93, 94.

Is that by design?
