uga – I think Santa Rosa Island is near Pensacola. But I don’t know anything about it. Tiger may. I thought you were going to Key West on your next trip?
santa rosa stretches from ft pickens all the way to the destin pass so not sure where he is…most well known for p’cola beach but includes navarre – lovely place to visit
Ghost of Greg Norton: I’ve never met anyone who had even the slightest problem with Matt Diaz, quite possibly the nicest, most down-to-earth professional athlete I ever met. Seriously, he got along with EVERYone. His clubhouse reputation was a big reason he had multiple teams make him offers after a really mediocre season, including two-year offers.
Tiger, are there any real nice places in Panama City that don’t have all of the hotels along the beaches? I haven’t been in a long time, but I do remember the hotels across the beach.
don’t know much about PCB that is way east of my stomping grounds…you looking to party/troll on the beach with tons of condos/relax on the beach with houses?
so if you want to party PCB is probably best – if you want relaxing houses/beaches not big crowds you want between destin & PCB (seaside/watercolor places like that). Destin is less party but still tons of people. P’cola is less tourist and more locals with tons of military. And don’t forget Orange Beach to Gulf shores (and perdido key) basically smaller version of destin
tiger, I am not a party person. I do enjoy Destin. Beautiful waters. Yeah, P’Cola is full of Sailors in their initial training outside of boot camp. I heard a lot of stories about P’Cola.
uga – you coming back to atlanta? Orange Beach/Gulf Shores is closer to mobile (I think they have a hampton on the beach) and a little easier to get back to 65 (and home). Not much difference between them probably more things to do in gulf shores/orange beach (check to see if there is a concert at the wharf in orange beach). But I did love P’cola.
trey – got plenty of pilots as well. Its funny all the small town girls lined up at the bars looking for their ticket out of town. It is absolutely an officer and a gentleman (maybe thats the wrong reference)
uga – that first post was in response to trey…when are you going? I loved P’cola (lived there for an incredible year) but if you want to do something other than golf.lay on the beach gulf shores/orange beach might suit you better. That being said its been quite a few years since I’ve lived there so take what I say with a grain of salt. Where is P’cola Brave when you need him LOL
tiger, of course. They know those young Sailors just outta boot camp are desperate to find a woman and those women want a steady pay check. They meet and two weeks later they get married, or something like that. Eh, the reference is fine. Officers are known as the gentlemen.
your roomate or his father is the pilot now? gotta love that UPS gig from what I hear. Cargo doesn’t complain about turbulance or delays nearly as much.
yeah any of the beaches there just drive down away from the hotels/condos and park at one of the parks and you won’t know there is anyone else in the world
