Not a single one of those three pitches Alex swung at were in the strike zone. I continue to be surprised how he can be so undisciplined at his age and level of experience, especially in a that spot (i.e. trailing by 1 run late with runners on 1st and 2nd and no outs. Better than a double play.

Nice eye there, Nate.

Gonzo’s new nickname is ‘Auto’. As in automatic out when he’s at the plate. It’s like we only have two outs per inning when he’s up. Think we should have a handicap when he’s up.

Elonbrave

Strange game this one. Pineda looked like he was going to throw a no-hit and Hanson looked like he was not going to make out the 4th inning. Hanson finished strong and Pineda faded down the stretch. I just love this sport.

Tomas

June 29th, 2011
