What the hell are we doing with Freeman running with ASS Uggla batting . Freddi really likes him. Last Saturday on the highlites all we seen was his 3 run homer boy that was a big one we were winning 7-1. Heyward belongs in AAA has he had a game where he hit the ball hard twice in a game. Last year thumb this year shoulder I say its an excuse called a slump. Go McCann and Freeman your the only two that swinging good . This is a joke watching Uggla Gonzo Schafer McClouth . Hanson should of gave you a rehab start but no one was going to win tonight because of are stinken offence. King Felix tomorrow against are 15 million man Mariners 5 Braves 0 cant wait for post game comments I know great pitching can sure stop a stinken Braves offence.

I predicted Hanson would be rusty in his first start back. I was right. Predicted with a righty pitching we’d score just enough to win. That hasn’t happend, though Uggla just hit one out. Good start.

Actually heard someone on the radio say today that he missed steroids and all the offense it was responsible for in the game. I wish I could have asked if he also missed human growth hormones and all those other shortcuts that in their finest manifestation distorted individual results and team results. He also mentioned how they were so effective in prolonging the careers of guys and bringing guys back from injury so quickly.
I’m sure not “everybody” agrees with me but I’m glad they are basically being moved out of the game. It will take a couple of years forclubs to be able to ascertain what the true talent levels of guys are, but that’s good. Right??

Earlier in the season, a lot of these balls hit to LCF by Uggla had ended up being long flyouts or wall scrapers.

Several people here have made this point: would it kill these hitters to be patient instead of hacking away at every pitch? Seems like the hitters (or at least some of them) were more patient at times during the last homestand. When they were their patience paid off. Suddenly they reverted to hacking at everything. I’m no hitting guru, but two outs in four pitches?

nolee will love this, but I do have to say Schafer might not be the answer to our problems at leadoff. Not that I expected anything great in the first place and he wasn’t exactly tearing it up when he got up here, but he was doing just enough I thought. Now, I’m hoping we could possibly get somebody more consistant there.

Wren is really going to earn his money if he is going to improve our offense without gutting the minors. I just don’t see many significant trades – more teams going for the one piece to take them to the top (taking a higher priced veteran or someone at the end of their contract). It will likely require a couple trades.
My dream scenario, being a Tarheel, would be to get ackley and put him in CF (costing us Martin Prado, Delgado, and ?? something else). Then getting Hunter Pence for LF (costing us Minor and another prospect).
Until wren can work magic, send Schafer down and call up Constanza until Martin returns. Time to see what Constanza can do in the majors
