I do not discriminate with my hate. I am an equal opportunity hateist
2-0. Hanson is not fooling anybody tonight.
Damn, Big Red is Getting Slapped Already!
I might turn it off…This team isn’t worth sacrificing sleep over!
Hanson getting roped everything has been hit hard.
June 28th, 201110:37 pm
Let’s put Tommy Hanson back on the DL.
Get it done
This will be tough tonight
pitches are up as well
Posted that twice. They both get my hate
This is going to be a long night I can tell.
Linebrink for Cy
needless to say, Beachy’s return from the DL last week … waaaay more successful than Hanson’s return
I’m Seriously on the verge of turning this Trash off!
Big Red was due for a bad start
June 28th, 201110:38 pm
Not very good location. Poor guy hope he turns it around quick or this will be a long night!
2-0 down is like 14-0 down with Pineida on the mound and the Braves offense…
When is Tommy Hanson gonna realize, the MARINERS are 1st pitch swinging?? 1 HR and 2 2B on the 1st PITCH
Tommy is rusty….hopefully he can shake it off and keep us in this thing.
This feels about like 10-0 knowing the Braves offensive ineptitude
Yeah, why would you need a Minor League warm-up start Tommy Hanson? oh wait….now I remember why most teams do this
June 28th, 201110:39 pm
Looks like Tommy’s throwing bp to the Mariners so far.
This game is over. May as well rest McCann and Freeman right now (our only hitters who aren’t complete garbage) and get them ready for tomorrow.
captain benjamin calabash –
Open up a smoking section to go along with that fried food and please have a kid free environment. Thanks.
JC from DR! (You gotta tip your cap to ____)
This is ”one of those starts” for Mr. Hanson….
We can’t let this game to get out of hand. 3 runs maybe too much to overcome.
I know Tommy’s probably feeling his way along after being out, but the first-pitch 90-mph down the middle is just not working.
You convinced me, LAdy.
Baller, I just checked and he has never hit .280 in his life(Unless you count high school and little league). Highest average was .276 and has never been in the .270s again and never been in the .260s. A lot of .250s and lower though.
Schafer might get his sprints in tonight the way it looks.
Hanson is struggling. Get him out of there. Too many sliders and fastballs topping out at 90 – 91. Doesn’t look to be himself.
Gawd This team looks Flat! Big Red Sucks at holding Runners and keeping them honest
June 28th, 201110:40 pm
Dan will save us later…
I get tired of opponents running at will against the Braves pitchers/catchers
June 28th, 201110:41 pm
Better get Martinez ready. It might be a short night for big red.
may be not maybe. Sorry for the typo
It’s going to be “Ballgame!” real early tonight.
June 28th, 201110:42 pm
Dad I’m glad youve done your homework on mclouth love Trey
June 28th, 201110:43 pm
Hanson not very sharp tonight – ball is up too much.
The Team has already Phoned this one in, too bad I still have to cook dinner otherwise I would be going to bed
Big Red is not gonna last past the 4th inning…I can taste a long relief outing by C-Mart!
What’s wrong with y’alls’ boy Hanson?
…..besides he’s getting rocked.
Good curveball by Tommy the Red.
Even if he holds em to two, can we get two?
Damn son, you killin me
Did you see that clutch AB by Brendan Ryan? … The Braves should trade for him.
June 28th, 201110:44 pm
Well cabravesfan its not looking any better
Regarding Dan Uggla, I really believe his approach at the plate must change, and, if he cannot change it himself–he has to get advice from someone else. The orders to him to accept and implement some ‘changes,’ must come from the skipper–basically, if Dan is resistant to change or help….he must have a ’sit down’ with Mr. Wren….potentially sooner than later.
it could have been a helluva lot worse
Phil…Even if he holds em to two, can we get two?
no! Not with the Cy Young award winner on the mound
Good work getting out of the jam. Now maybe the Braves hitters can show some patience and Fredi will quit giving outs away with his “running game”
June 28th, 201110:45 pm
I thought you were leaving to watch “good” baseball. There are still 7 innings left.
Either gameday is messed up or those 1st 2 pitches to Kennedy were strikes
Good damage control by Hanson but he may be done in 5th innings.
Dan will save us later…”
Are you willing to take that to the bank? I find myself turning the channel oftentimes when Struggla comes to bat with runners on
I meant hits…
McFann :Ô: :Ô:
That was a weird inning_somebody stole a base against Hanson. Huh…never seen that before…
June 28th, 201110:46 pm
Betcha McDowell came out and told him they’re sitting on the FB first pitch. He threw more curves to the 2 hiiters after that visit than in the whole game til then.
That could have been worse….i guess,Big Red needs some runs,The offense needs to pick him up this inning
June 28th, 201110:47 pm
Ole for Olivo.
I wanna know when Barry Bonds legal stuff is taken care of would you want him to be a hitting coach?
T for Texas
I still have to cook dinner…I can taste a long relief outing by C-Mart!
I hope that long relief outing is more appetizing than it sounds.
Braves luck there. Foul ball
Compare this year’s group of losers in the lineup to our 2003 lineup. It is ridiculous. Imagine if we had this years rotation and bullpen paired up with that lineup. Yikes.
Furcal, Giles, Chipper, Sheffield, Andruw, Javy, Castilla/Derosa, Robert Fick/Julio Franco
How could we lose with those guys?
June 28th, 2011
I assure you that was me being exceedingly sarcastic…
June 28th, 201110:48 pm
Wait…that was FOUL?? Maybe I really do need new glasses…
Aw, McFann, don’t ehat on the pitching staff!
Flipping between UF and USC and the Braves game
won’t see that very often, a player charged with an error where no one reaches base.
June 28th, 201110:49 pm
That’s right Frankie Wren, continue to NOT do anything to improve your club’s offense and they will be 8 games out by the All Star break. Continue to employ a leadoff hitter that has an OBP below .300. Continue to employ a hitting coach who so obviously does not know what he is doing. Doesn’t know how to teach approach or adjustment. Continue to play a guy EVERY DAY that is hitting .175.
As for you Fredi, continue to not know how to construct a lineup. Continue to try hit and runs with slow runners [Freeman tonight] and hitters that have a large % of swing and misses [Uggla tonight]. Continue to play your teacher’s pet Danny Boy when he couldn’t get a hit off of a slow pitch softball pitcher.
Just keep it up guys and you soon will not have a chance at the division OR the Wild Card.
Hinske gets two outs in one at bat.
I am a little surprised we did not see Lugo in the lineup at SS giving Alex a chance to rest and clear his head
Will we even get a hit?
Could Heavy Hinske have been any more unlucky there?
another night, another retarded lineup from fredi g.
June 28th, 201110:50 pm
There is one category that Alex Gonzalez is leading and that is striking out in 3 consecutives pitches.
Alex Gonzalez looks so pissed every time he flies out, like he should have hit a homer. I think its funny.
T for Texas—
Honestly, that’s the only thing about them I really…”ehat”…
Kirby Smart – on paper before the season I would take this year’s line up every day (especially if drug testing is included)
June 28th, 201110:51 pm
Selfish ABs……….Something needs to be done about this offense. How much longer can the Braves just sit back and do nothing
He has a no-no working. What an offense his facing though. If a pitcher throws a no-hitter against the Braves it should be discredited due to their ineptitude.
gotigers we are 10 games above .500, Wren hasn’t been that bad.
Gonzo isn’t going to clear his head…way too thick.
6 up, 6 down.
I would not be surprised to see Gonzo swing at a pick-off attempt to first base.
Cap’n, you aren’t the number one scumbag. There are folks on this blog way scummier and grimier.
another game with no production early from the offense. No runs and even no hits this time.
MacOut pulls the ball and is out for AB #1.
Of course, the rest of the team has made outs so far too except 2 walks.
June 28th, 201110:52 pm
No plate discipline that inning.
The laughing guy wasn’t totally appropriate there, because there wasn’t anything actually “funny”…except the “ehat” part…
JROB – that made me laugh
Inning started on 9:46 (CST) and ended at 9:49 and we did not hit into a DP. Way to work the count guys.
must have made me laugh twice – sorry for the double post
June 28th, 201110:53 pm
Where is Coach at?
Should’ve used Hudson as DH.
and the offense gets the privilege of facing the AL’s 2nd in strikeouts tomorrow afternoon. Need to get going tonight O!
JRob – lol
Nate from State
Everyone is clamoring for trades but no one is making trades yet! There has to be a market.
That said another hitting clinic put on by the Bravos so far.
This team is like me at 15. They can’t score lol
That is pretty good.
June 28th, 201110:54 pm
I hope he didn’t pay to watch this Garbage?
June 28th, 201110:55 pm
Sad that after the first pitch we throw, we give up a dinger and almost everyone collectively wonders “well thats it”.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
