314 AVG 14 HR 46 RBI’s 920 OPS as a catcher. Ranks 9th in the league in OPS.
I know Reyes and Kemp are having great seasons, but they’re not going to the playoffs and McCann is doing it as a catcher. Deserves some consideration

Tomas- I think your 12:18 has some merit. That said I think him being a catcher will cost him down the road. It’s just such a demanding position that something has to give at some point and it’s usually the offensive output.

Anders- I think we all know the toll it does to a catcher but it sounds like he truly loves the position….if he was our first baseman from day one…that would be great…..but he’s our catcher and he loves it..lets embrace the fact that he might be the best catcher of the modern era

@Nova Scotia Steve It took the opposing pitcher to screw up for us to be somewhat potent that inning–3 walks=trouble as you know. The Braves line-up offensively outside of the obvious few we all know is really scary.
