Losing record to a perennial sub .500, last place team equals ownage, Mike.
June 26th, 20116:18 pm
Does that really constitute being “owned?”
In a blog where a tie game in the 7th constitutes a loss, and where a loss means that for the next 24 hours you have to complain about how you have the worst team in baseball….yes.
Except the Nats are neither sub-.500 nor last place.

EAT IT, MFin and Mixxo
Chris from the Rock
And he wriggles off the hook. Time to get some runs!
June 26th, 20116:20 pm
Well…we might have a shot if we can score 1 single run.
OK, y’all can relax your sphincters. Scotty bailed us out.
But they have been the lst several years, JD. From this point forward for the next few years however, I would expect them to be a different club, competent. Maybe then the Braves will play them tougher.
June 26th, 20116:21 pm
jeffrey d – Eating with pleasure. We still have to score a run though. Which with only 1-hit so far semms impossible. The Padres have to run out of lefties at some point, right?
Feel sorry for Hudson and all of the braves starters. If they give up one run, they normally lose. Except for Lowe, hell he gives up one run before he gets the first batter out. The margin for error is so fine for the braves starters that it is pathetic. Wren should be proud to sit in his luxury box every game and watch this team perform offensively. He has built a powerhouse team when it comes to offense. What a joke of a G.M he is.
June 26th, 20116:22 pm
Getting someone on base in the 8th inning would be awesome.
A RIGHTY! A RIGHTY!!!!
city of atlanta=heap of garbage
Hey, guys and girls, for those of you who are my friends on Facebook, check out my album “Camaro for Sale” – this is the car that my husband has built and is for sale. I want to get it in front of Tim Hudson – he can afford what we are asking for it.
June 26th, 20116:23 pm
i love neil boortz.
Nova Scotia Steve
This is brutal….
You guys ever seen the movie Ladder 49?
If you have, the funeral scene is what my brother is going to get.
The A Bomb
June 26th, 20116:25 pm
Meanwhile, Frank continues with cocktails at the country club…….
June 26th, 20116:27 pm
How about an E bomb
Now lets make that walk count.
Question for anyone… When a pitcher like Adams right now, raises his arms to set and rocks back and forth and then picks up his foot again..is that a balk at all? I always wondered about that extra foot movement that some pitchers have.
June 26th, 20116:28 pm
another walk for McNate.
Good time to break out Ski.
I love McLouth’s approach at the plate right now.
“2-0 is a good hitters count, but that doesn’t mean he will throw it right over the middle of the plate”, you gotta love color men.
Braves get a runner on in the 8th, even if it is a walk. The offensive heroics begin
June 26th, 20116:29 pm
Way to concentrate Nate Dawg
June 26th, 20116:30 pm
I want me some Hinske–let’s go big guy from Menasha
jungleland sax solo
Ted… a fine handle.
1 hit ??!!?? 1 G.D. hit ??!!??
June 26th, 20116:31 pm
Wow=so typical of critical situations this year–love our consistency there now
June 26th, 20116:32 pm
LOL at Harry Doyle!
Don S utton said he almost balked Kat
This game is so boring, wish the cameraman would show the crowd more and less of the game. There looks like alot of hot chicks are at the game.
Are you kidding SKE made it home?! Wow go Big Diesel.
Technical difficulties! &#*($!!!!
Did everybody else’s Fox experience tech difficulties?
THAT WAS THE WORST TIME TO YANK THE CAMERA CORD OUT, GUYS!!!!!
technical difficulties on the triple. Are you kidding me?
Way to go Jordan. Wish I could have seen it
lol ………………TV sh*ts the bed in the middle of Schafer’s drive.
June 26th, 20116:33 pm
Atta boy Jordan. Way to step up
Lost TV while Schafers hit was still in the air.
We got lead!!!!!!!!!!
But Jordan does it and the picture freezes on telecast–I hear E-nine and I know Kimbrel will hear the call too.
What a wonderful time for the feed to go out….a ball’s soaring toward the outfiel……Technical Difficulties
June 26th, 20116:34 pm
there you go kid way to smack it JOOOOOOOOOOOORRdaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!!!!
I miss the days of offense. Sammy vs Big Mac for 60+ dingers, even Chipper hit 45 once
I gotcher “technical difficulties” right here.
Yes, we scored!!!!!
LOL. That was one of the most ridiculous runs we’ve scored all year.
The feed couldn’t have gone out when we were being 1 hit…no, the one time during a 3 hour game it goes out is when the only run scores. Go figure
June 26th, 20116:35 pm
Bravo_fan 52… there are quite a few pitchers that do that..and the do it on every pitch so it seems the balk is never called as if because the movement is apart of their normal set…but still it’s extra movement which always confused me …it’s either a balk every time or it’s not ever.. I dunno enough about it.
Anyone else love to see what Nate does in the 8 hole?
I’m not sure that anyone knows why he doesn’t produce the same in the top of the order, but he seems to have a home.
“The Nate Hole.” FTW.
That was unbelievable. I think the actual offense short-circuited the satellite!
Heyward strikeout ends inning, Braves up 1-0 with Every Day Jonny in to pitch the 8th
G I Joe
I wonder how SEALS and other Special Forces feel about these guys dressing up like soldiers.I understand it’s done as an “honor” but I wonder what the honorees REALLY think? I know NFL players see themselves as “Warriors”, does that hold for baseball players?
Of course that would happen right when we’re about to score.
June 26th, 20116:36 pm
This team leads the league in most “illegitimate runs scored” this year.
Look it up. It’s a stat…I’m pretty sure.
I think AT&T must have cancelled 100 of the Ski Lift commercials and ordered an extra hundred Dancing in the Train Station ones.
Two hits off the Padres…all the pitchers seen today, can’t be that dominating.
My satellite is going in and out
guess thats the good thing about MLB extra innings, and having to watch the SD and Tony Gwynn broadcast…..no cords pulled
Good for Schafer. Maybe he will start hitting some now.
He and Nate are the only two with a hit. That’s sad
Can we get a replay? All that stupid nothing happening time and when we do something enjoyable fan-wise….wow, creeper camera guy!
Schafer squares one up and drives it. Tough luck lately, but he drives it the 8th today. Hang on to that big lead, Venters and Kimbrel.
Stupid Fox Feed
Let’s go Venters.
June 26th, 20116:37 pm
Is it a shadow or is DeNorfria starting to get that Jason Werth beard?
Blind Deaf and Dumb
Oh no, they are using Venters again, Freddie is the worst manager in baseball…
June 26th, 20116:38 pm
June 26th, 2011
I gotcher “technical difficulties” right here.
and now, you smiley has technical difficulties.
Gee thanks, FSS – that would be swell.
I can’t tell if you’re joking or not, but yes I think it’s wise to go with the best reliever in baseball with a 1-run lead.
venters prompty walks the leadoff guy..
June 26th, 20116:39 pm
Good job though, Schauffeurre.
I wonder how SEALS and other Special Forces feel about these guys dressing up like soldiers
I can tell you the Marines don’t give a pair of blue balls what the Navy Seals think.
I like Schafer for a late season call-up to come off the bench but we need a leadoff CF ASAP. Coco Crisp or Michael Bourn need to be acquired…Get it done Frank. NOW!!!
Jeffery, it is very stylish to complain whenever Venters is used. I am just going with it.
If they steal another base I’m going to go…(more)… crazy.
And what’s up with SportsSouth audio? It’s not only significantly lower, but they don’t broadcast in Dolby 5.1. Lame.
June 26th, 20116:40 pm
you give a pitcher a nickname like “Everyday Jonny”, what else do you expect the manager to do but follow suit?
Tad bit slow there, JV.
Thanks VENTERS.. way to goooo….
Venters’ crow hop cost him there.
I wonder how SEALS and other Special Forces feel about these guys dressing up like soldiers….
Well, by your logic, I wonder how they’d feel about your moniker, “G.I. Joe”
But I really think you’re over-thinking things. I doubt anyone in uniform is the least bit offended by it.
June 26th, 20116:41 pm
Take your time Johnny.
The Padres are bound to score I guess.
This feels like a not good situation
leadoff walks NEVER come back to bite….NEVER
Good call, BDD
