There is some fool posting under my name. I know I stink and should rightfully return the money I’m being paid but it’s expensive to look this silly and also pay the trainer and nutritionist that makes me look so good in my uniform. Once again I apologize to all the Brave fans,Liberty, frank Wren the city of Atlanta, The state of Georgia and the Southeast United States. I’ll heat up next march.
Sorry Ernie, yes we can. If we are best why are we 5 (count ‘em) 5 games outta first) Plus I will admit, I just don’t like the arrogant SOB! Parrish has to go! does have a cool goatee though!
June 25th, 20111:12 am
At least Fredi is calm and smiley in the postgame interview. So soothing. :eyes rolling:

Fredi “All Smiles” Gonzalez
Fredi G. on offense: “That’s the way we’ve been hitting most of the year. If you look at our stats over the course of the year, we’re not where we want to be offensively as a team,

And…could we send that big dumb bum, Lowe to Mississippi to be with Kamakazi? If we got to eat the salary at least put him where he can’t screw us any more at this level! Look at the tix pearl could sell—mebbe!
June 25th, 20111:19 am
Douchebags stealing names and others comments. Wow. A new low for even this blog.
DOB, No kidding! They ain’t where my grandson’s little league team is!
June 25th, 20111:20 am
who in the world is joe simpson saying ineed to make adjustments i will continue to swing for the fences, try to pull the outside pitch, try to kill everything instead of meeting the ball, upper cut everything– the idea of going with the outside pitch, just meeting the ball, take good level swings– that is for little leaguers– and sissys im too good to make adjustments– doesnt matter what my average is even if i only hit 125 for the year so what as long as this team can play for a championship- why should i care what the average fan thinks–i stillget p[aid even if you dont show up for the game– me make adjustments you all have to be kidding im laughing all the way to the bank– you fools
Yunel's Frosted Tips
Dang……saw where we lost Joe Mather……..where do we go from here?
June 25th, 20111:25 am
It’s been me that has been stealing names and making other ones up, tonight.
I’ve used 36 different names tonight. That’s not including the ones I’ve stolen. I’m not too sick, am I?

To the uggla haters : look up his june stats, go f yourselves you do bags, i would love to see you losers try and make the big leagues
June 25th, 20111:27 am
**d bags, that is ,, he just homered last game, lay off his nut sack
June 25th, 20111:39 am
The headline reads:
“Braves ‘pen is best, now can it hold up?”
I guess the answer to that question is “YES” (provided Asencio doesn’t pitch anytime soon).
But in all seriousness, let’s not let the 11 runs allowed mask the fact that this team still can’t hit. 11 runs or 3 runs….. we were still losing tonight once the Padres scored their 3rd run.
But here’s something to think about.
When Hanson comes back is it time to either trade Derek Lowe (if anybody would actually take him off our hands), or simply move him to the bullpen and have a 15 million dollar setup man?
Because from my angle, I’d rather have both Beachy and Minor in the rotation over Lowe at this point. Don’t believe me? Check it out….
I’m not counting Minor’s first start of the year since there was almost a month and a half between his 1st start and his second start.
Since he was recalled after that first start (a few trips between the big club and AAA), he has made 6 starts.
29 IP, 12 ER (3.72 ERA) add in 24 K’s for good measure (though I realize Lowe isn’t a strikeout pitcher). If you take out the 5 ER he gave up against the Mets 2 starts ago, that ERA drops to 2.56 in the other 4 starts with 21 K in 24.2 IP. The Braves have gone 3-2 in the 5 starts since his 1st start on April 5th before getting sent back down.
Lowe on the other hand? In his last 5 starts dating back to May 28th?
26.1 IP, 16 ER (5.46 ERA), 13 K (again, I get he’s a sinkerballer).
And if you go back to May 1st (his last 10 starts)?
56.1 IP, 29 ER (4.63 ERA)
Now, in fairness to Lowe, the Braves are 7-3 in those 10 starts.
But like I said. I’m not so sure it’s not time to see what a rotation of Hudson, Hanson, JJJ, Minor and Beachy can do. Lowe’s 15 million dollars be damned.
Of course, reality states that this will NEVER happen. But a guy can dream, can’t he?
Either way, if Wren doesn’t fix this lineup, it really doesn’t matter if Campillo and JoJo Reyes are thrust back into our rotation.
June 25th, 20111:45 am
N8, you are indeed wise. I though I was the only one to realize, Lowe stinks!
June 25th, 20111:46 am
Well said N8…

The A Bomb
Announcing… the latest in great literary works…. THE FRANK WREN TRILOGY!

BOOK #2 — 2 YEARS OF HELL….The story of famed Geisha owner Kenshin Kawakami, brought in as a goodwill gesture in the name of American baseball. After 8 wins and 22 losses over 2 seasons, Kenshin goes to Mississippi where he presently serves as a busboy cleaning grits off pots but making $6.7 million!
BOOK #3 — 3 YEARS OF HELL…. The story of high school Spanish teacher and hair stylist Nate McLouth, who ends years of success in the rugged Iron City by coming to Atlanta and showing his true colors. Live the struggles as this formerly successful professional goes through the hell of traffic jams between Atlanta and Gwinnett, and how he has to spend most of his $5 million salary in 2010 on gasoline!
BOOK #4 — 4 YEARS OF HELL… The story of aspiring drag racer Derek Lowe, spurred onto the Atlanta scene not by his past success, but by the $60 million contract dangled at him by good ol’ Frank. Live through the drama as Derek tries to figure out ways to laugh openly at the Braves organzation without anyone finding out!
AND NOW… THE LATEST IN THE TRILOGY….
BOOK #5 — 5 YEARS OF HELL…. The story of bodybuilder Dan Uggla, who takes his secret desire to become a human helicopter from South Beach and dupes Frank into thinking he’s actually a baseball player! See all the conspiracy theories associated with his trade and new $62 million deal, including how Uggla is actually related to Bernie Madoff!
June 25th, 20111:47 am
Actually, scratch that. I forgot to add in tonight’s numbers for Lowe.
In his last 11 starts, he’s gone:
62 IP, 34 ER (4.94 ERA) and the Braves are 7-4 in those 11 starts.
Wanna know the scariest part about the numbers I just typed?
In Kawakami’s final 11 starts last year (you know….. before being banished to mop up minor league reliever duty?), he did the following:
59 IP, 30 ER (4.57 ERA).
“Yikes” doesn’t begin to describe how disturbing that is.
June 25th, 20111:48 am
im asking to be traded, the hell with this all white team
June 25th, 20111:49 am
““Yikes” doesn’t begin to describe how disturbing that is.”
Maybe the Braves arent scoring enough runs for Lowe either.
June 25th, 20111:50 am
hey its not lowes fault,me and chipper got on,we are brothers and that fat ass b mac hit into a dplay ,wish ross was starting, maybe he will get hurt.
June 25th, 20111:51 am
Here are the only 3 differences that I can find in Lowe’s last 11 starts and KK’s final 11 starts with the big club.
1) Braves are 7-4 in Lowe’s 11 starts. They were 5-6 in KK’s.
2) Lowe is making 15 million and KK was making around 7 million.
3) Lowe actually has a track record of being successful and should be given SOME slack due to how well he pitched from September through the playoffs last year.
Other than that…..
June 25th, 20111:52 am
if u score some dam runs morons maybe i pitch better,do i care?hell now now excuse me while i hiccup have another drink
This blog is full of craZy maroons.
June 25th, 20111:53 am
U get your white trash out there and pitch if u think its so ez otherwise STFU
June 25th, 20111:54 am
dont hit dingers and we dont score.
just end the debate between schafer and nate. they both aint very good.
pitchout and our catcher tosses it into rightfield.
June 25th, 20111:57 am
lowe looks into the dugout and he sees a zombie. fredo barely has a pulse.
this team refuses to go deep into the count.
this team continues to win despite fredo.
Sorry yall for being such a complete moron.Excuse me now my sister is calling, she is sooooo hot!!!Hey dont knock it till you try it!!!What else is there to do in atlanta?
I know it’s time to go to bed when I’m the sane one on here…….the mental ward got to the keyboards again it would appear.
I can’t even begin to discuss the pitching problems N8… I think it’s time to re-introduce steroids and methamphetamines to the game of baseball. I don’t know how much longer I can continue to watch the abysmal offense not JUST from the Braves but all over baseball. We (swear to God Ty Cobb is rolling over in his grave) just signed a guy to a $62mil contract and he’s hitting about .175 and I’m about to lose my mind!!! I can’t believe this crap!!
June 25th, 20111:58 am
Nate ain’t squared up a ball since he’s been back
June 25th, 20111:59 am
If Steve Phillps can find a job after doing what he did to get fired from ESPN, then Riggleman should have no problems at all. — Frank from KS (now living in CO) [from last night]
I never said that Riggleman wouldn’t be able to find work. I said that he MAY have burned his managerial bridges. There are only 30 MLB manager’s jobs on the planet. I’m not so sure that any GM will consider him in the future.
Riggleman doesn’t have a very good managerial record, for one thing. After walking away from a signed contract before the All-Star break, especially with the club doing so well, supposedly because his 2012 option has been picked up yet,
MAY prove to shut the door on any future managerial opportunities.
We can only comment on what is being reported. Maybe there’s more to the story that hasn’t come out yet. There usually is.
As far as work goes, I’m sure Riggleman will have no problem there. As a matter of fact, I’ve heard there’s a sopapillaporium that may be opening, soon. Word on the Blog is that they may interview Riggleman for a job.
We should have moved Lowe this off-season while he still had value. After these past couple of starts, how much is Lowe worth to a contender in need of pitching? Especially with that ridiculous salary.
And something’s got to change with the Braves offense. Career-wise, these guys are mostly productive hitters. Not this year though. Do you think the Fredi and Frank have even discussed the possibility of dismissing Parrish?
R.I.P – Michael Chambers
Today is his 35th B-Day. He’ll be truly missed.
June 25th, 20112:00 am
how can you square up a round ball on a round bat? Buncha craZies.

That’s fine, I’m used to insensitive people doing things for shock value. As Eric Bischoff would say Controversy Creates Cash, except insensitivity like this creates the ignore signal.

June 25th, 20112:18 am
I believe that’s all ONE person, Chris.
He would’ve been 35 today, Chris? I never asked how old he was. Man, that’s young. It’s only a little over a year older than I am.
June 25th, 20112:19 am
Wouldn’t doubt it but meh lol.
Yeah, he died pretty young. I am 8 years younger than he is and I’m the baby.

DOB, i love schultz. his count thing is awesome. love mark bradley.
you guys got it right, keeping those two.
but giving fredo a A- is a reach.
our pitching is way too good. sweep the fish and score six runs. sweep the jays and almost all the runs game via the the dinger.
managers dont sore runs. coaches dont score runs. but if you are offensively challenged you try to go deep into the count. this team refuses the bases on balls.

I bet you that idiot is a phillies fan !
June 25th, 20112:50 am
Wow! Idiocy abound on the ol blog, and in the Atlanta dugout! What pray tell was the esteemed Manager of the Braves dooing sitting on his ass whilst his pitcher was proceeding to obliterate any chance of a win????
Somebody, anybody in that damn dugout wake up and start b.it.ch slapping some inept ball players, staring with Uggla, and ending with that silly-assed boob Fredi Gonzalez!
June 25th, 20112:55 am
Lowe is a piece of garbage in our rotation. We are stuck with this loser.
Many of you were aganist my idea for trading this retard while he had some value but now with his pathetic performance no one will want this rubbish. Now we can’t make spot for Teheran or Minor and we are also stuck with his 15mil contract.
Who here still thinks that Lowe will help us in the playoffs? This guy is nothing but a mop up man in his career. Piece of worthless cow waste he is, Because of him we ARE NOW 5 OUT OF THE DIVISION. There goes our hopes for division title. Derek Lowe is worthless.
Just release the guy or send him to AA so he can join Kawakami.
June 25th, 20112:56 am
who dat still has a racist comment at 1:16.
June 25th, 20112:57 am
Want to see this team take off? Fire Parrish, Gonzalez, and Snitker, move T.P to the manager spot, and hire Wade Boggs as a hitting coach!, bring in fernando Vina for 1b /inf coach!
June 25th, 20113:03 am
Is Joe Brave yet another version of Lou Vales?
June 25th, 20113:08 am
Trade request plz!
Lowe to Stl for any prospect!
McCann to Boston for Bard, Bucholz, and Anderson
Minor and Ross to SF for J.Sanchez
move Freddie F to LF, pu Prado at 2b, Lars Anderson at 1B
and just bring in some scrub to catch!
Send Hudson to the Yanks for I Nova,J.Montero and Brandon Laird
utilize the farm to bring in NAHHHHHH scartch that!
Just relax maybe Cincinnati will flinch and trade brandon phillips to Atl for Uggla and Lowe…
June 25th, 2011
Facts about this team,
1.Chipper is washed up
2.Uggla is a retard
3.Heyward, Hanson, schafer, and McLouth are overrated!
4.Yunel should never have been traded
5.Best for last Frank Wren graduated magna cum dummy as a GM!
At first, I would disagree with you on number 4. But I’m being to think that on Heyward.
June 25th, 20113:09 am
nope HUH? I sure as hell am not!
I am the real JoeBrave
June 25th, 20113:10 am
Right before our very eyes the Atlanta orioles err Baltimore braves..errr the Braves under frank Wren are becoming a door mat!
June 25th, 20113:14 am
How long is it going to take Wren to see this offense is bad and it’s not going to turn around ! It is almost July and it’s not better ! If they were good, we would not be talking about the hitting in the last days of june !!!
June 25th, 20113:16 am
Last year, Bobby Cox did something he never does. He had 2 close door meetings. I have yet to read about one this year !
June 25th, 20113:18 am
JoeBrave – I agree ! They are full of themselves and someone needs to say or do something !

June 25th, 20113:23 am
June 25th, 2011
Wren has made one good deal, just one, Jurrjens! that’s it!
francouer for Church=bust
bust bust bust.
Someone needs to take his Topps collection and shove them up his ass! that is no way to run a team!
Those picks deserves a flat out F !
June 25th, 20113:24 am
Extension for Chipper=BUST
Extension for Uggla=BUST
moving Prado from 2b even bigger BUST
Wren is ruining this team
June 25th, 20113:26 am
If I were in the hotseat, When Hanson came back I would give him 2 starts hope they were quality and trade his ass to L.A. with Schafer, and Gearrin for Matt Kemp!
