Uggla has to be the easiest guy for a pitcher to face these days. Just throw him something offspeed or on a corner or in the dirt or up and a away or up and in ….

Here’s what the Braves need to do.

1.) Trade for Bourn.
2.) Move Prado back to 2B.
3.) Keep Dan Uggla on the bench. He’s only allowed to play when the Braves are getting blown out by 10 or more runs. Think of him as a position player version of Cristian Martinez.

So let me get this straight, we wear out O’Flaherty, Venters, and Kimbrel so Asencio can hold down a bullpen spot and get put in games when we’re down by 3, and THEN get hammered because he hasn’t thrown in a while and he just may not be that good? Doesn’t make sense not to bring up Gearrin who was pitching quality innings and getting some outs.

I just want to apologize to everyone. This loss is on me. For starters, I shouldn’t have let Dan Uggla join us on this road trip. Secondly, I’m completely clueless on how to determine whether or not a pitcher should be removed from the game. Finally, I just wasn’t in the mood to manage coming into tonight. I just feel like sitting on this bench next to my buddy Larry Parrish and admire the opposition’s performance.

Sorry guys, we’re gonna try again though. Hopefully we’ll earn a victory by hitting a bunch of solo homers.
