You are trying to pull the ball when it is a foot outside. Please stop. Thanks.
I wonder if Uggla drinks alot of caffeine?
Great catch J Hey!
Tomahawkin, keep on cooking you ain’t missed much.
June 25th, 201112:00 am
Uggla has to be the easiest guy for a pitcher to face these days. Just throw him something offspeed or on a corner or in the dirt or up and a away or up and in ….
June 25th, 201112:01 am
How much longer do we have to wait for Greg Norton to be signed…@$#%@
The A Bomb
Electric Mike Adams coming in….
June 25th, 201112:02 am
Wonder if Lowe will talk to reporters.
“How much longer do we have to wait for Greg Norton to be signed…”
Please don’t give him any ideas.
trade uggloser for Hudson and Stauffer
June 25th, 201112:03 am
Nice, give em a run right back.
“Just throw him something offspeed or on a corner or in the dirt or up and a away or up and in ”
THata an easy scouting report….
Reminds me of ANdrew JOnes when he was in one of his funks.
June 25th, 201112:04 am
Just got home and it seems like Lowe had another rough night where the offense and defense failed to cooperate. This guy is a great stopper of winning streaks right now.
This Padre team is an offensive juggernaut. I knew we’d have to score some runs tonight to keep up.
Get it together Asencio, throw strikes down in the zone.
Here’s what the Braves need to do.
1.) Trade for Bourn.
2.) Move Prado back to 2B.
3.) Keep Dan Uggla on the bench. He’s only allowed to play when the Braves are getting blown out by 10 or more runs. Think of him as a position player version of Cristian Martinez.
June 25th, 201112:05 am
There goes some cushion on that great bullpen ERA. haha, crap.
At least the phillies…………
No, wait, phillies won.
Asencio is garbage. Package him in a deal for Bourn.
On a lighter note, Frenchy homered tonight and threw out a runner. Leads the league in OA.
Pads are having a blast with us.
Thanks Lowe. Thanks Heyward and Chipper’s defense and a special thanks to this bizzare and unbelievably stubborn and very average offense.
Oh, and thanks Ascenio …. or whatever the hell you call yourself now. You stink, AA pitcher.
June 25th, 201112:06 am
1) Not gonna happen
2) Not gonna happen
3) Not gonna happen
Geez, that might be the game…….I gonna go look for some brains to eat
Linebrink for Cy
Pads definitely gained confidence by winning 2-3 from the Red Sox in Boston
June 25th, 201112:07 am
I can picture Victorino laughing while watching this game……..
Or maybe he is not watching, they all knew we were going to lose.
Padres suddenly are an offensive powerhouse–smacking the ##@@&&)(^^out of some belt and letter high gifts.
So why would Houston trade one of their best players for him?
“On a lighter note, Frenchy homered tonight and threw out a runner.”
Francoeur > Heycoeur
“On a lighter note, Frenchy homered tonight and threw out a runner. Leads the league in OA.”
On a lighter note, I’m still happy he isn’t a part of this team.
June 25th, 201112:08 am
Skip-YUM,NEED BARBAQUE SAUCE!
:turn out the lights…”
Brian McCann in 1 hour: “You just gotta tip your cap.”
On a lighter note, just found some brains
June 25th, 201112:09 am
The blog curse strikes again. Bullpen is majors best…….Asencio gives up 3 in less than an inning
“So why would Houston trade one of their best players for him?”
He would just be a guy to throw in. Minor and Schafer would be the core of the package.
I’m sure Frank has a nice weekend of golf planned.
alex, no worry, have sticky fingers, habenero hot bbq sauce for this num num
June 25th, 201112:10 am
Send Asencio off to where KK is playing!
Just think if Heyward catching the fly ball its more than likely a 2-2 game right now.
Hey, Redsox lost to pirates ………..we can always lose to the pads.
I need to take my Lowe and Ascenio to the end of the driveway. Stuff is already stinkin’.
Well – tomorrow is Saturday. Trash doesn’t run on weekends, but you see what I mean.
Why is it is so hard for the Braves to capture the first game of a series with the Padres? Happens frequently here where they lose the first one although they have a habit of winning the remaining two games of the series.
“I’m sure Frank has a nice weekend of golf planned.”
I’m convinced that the only way we’re going to get rid of him is if he dies in his sleep. Apparently the Braves don’t know how to fire anybody.
Pick it up Braves.
June 25th, 201112:11 am
Uggla finally produces a run
Why is it always in the dirt, I know it was tough play…..
Dan Uggla sucks at everything. Hitting, defense, hair/fashion, etc…
Lawnmowing time. In the dark.
If your gonna throw a right hander in during the 7th down 3 runs then why not put Proctor in, why Ascenio?????Braves had a little momentum after the Freeman bomb but this is pitiful. Braves are toast.
Someone take Derrick’s keys away from him, he might feel the need for some speed.
They just suck against loser teams….it reminds me of the fraking hawks, which scares me
Is it really that hard to throw a line drive from 90 feet away??
Dan Uggla being Dan Uggla.
This guy pitching is an absolute loser.
June 25th, 201112:12 am
This is starting to resemble the Jo-Jo Reyes relief outing at San Diego in April of 2010 when the Braves got clobbered like 17-2.
Ascensio really figured out those hitters tonight didn’t he?
What a shiating pitch!!
At least the real bullpen gets some rest
Slugfest, who would have thought it. And Stauffer gets 11 runs of run support
PLease get this AAA pitcher out of here Fredi before I Guzman myself
June 25th, 201112:13 am
Holy Crap. I can’t believe how god awful UGGLA really is. Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic Mr. Uggla.
Good point, Poon!
Because that offer is so much better…
June 25th, 201112:14 am
Asensio reminds me of……………oooopppps, I just farted.
Does our manager not know when to take the pitcher out. This guy has been throwing beach balls since he came in. Six runs later, he’s still in.
On a lighter note, Venters and Kimbrell get some rest.
The Braves have won 14 out of the last 19 in Sand diego..so as bad as this looks…
The Braves fans need to hope Derek Lowe is put on the DL soon. He has 1 win and 3 losses in his last 9 starts. He has pitched 52 innings given up 30 earned runs. Minor or Teheran would be an improvement. Lowe needs to be in the bullpen as the long man: ONLY
Uggla makes me like McLouth…ouch
Apparently the Braves don’t know how to fire anybody.
Dude, really? The Braves have the 2nd best record in the NL and the 4th best in all of baseball.
Oh come on, get Martinez in
June 25th, 201112:15 am
We just gave SD more runs in one game than they’ve scored in a month.
Hey, the drinks are on us Padres! Braves are so unselfish.
well, perfect time to take him out……
This is just terrible. Our offense is bad. I was convincing myself it was injuries and Uggla all this time, but now, only Prado is missing and we still can’t hit.
Also, Lowe will be lucky to get to 12 wins this year.
Was the Conrad going to the mound?
“Six runs later, he’s still in.”
He’s taking one for the team at this point, a valuable service. LOL!
June 25th, 201112:16 am
Many fans on this blog expect 162-0 and nothing less!
Yunel's Frosted Tips
ERA’s a going up……
Dark Horse, I agree, he defenitly does not take pitchers out the way cox used to.
Time the Braves to get rid of their dumb buzz-hawks or whatever their calling their UNLUCKY NOT DP TO C haircuts.
Maybe this shows Fredi, Wren and Co. why this BUM doesn’t belong in a Braves uniform..if we got rid of Mather, i believe we can send this kid packing somewhere far..
“Dude, really? The Braves have the 2nd best record in the NL and the 4th best in all of baseball.”
And they haven’t won a playoff series since 2001, making all of those numbers meaningless.
June 25th, 201112:17 am
Trade Lowe……………….gift wrap him, i don’t care if the return is Chris Reitsma or Dan Kolb send them to the minors where they’re nowhere to be seen.
i bet conrad has more allstar votes than uggla
BUT…. Lowe will be okay in September!
June 25th, 201112:18 am
Why should i make adjustments who in the hell is joe simpson saying i need to make adjustments- i will continue to try to kill every pitch– pull every outside pitch– upper cut the ball– adjustments– meeting the ball taking good level swings– hitting it where they pitch it– that is for sissys and little leaguers– im a grown man making millions why should i make any adjustments it doesnt matter what im hitting as long as we win a championship- ill keep doing what im doing swinging for the fences on every pitch- im too good to amke any adjustments
Now Uggla gets the night off…………shoulda made him pitch the rest of this one for 60 million
So let me get this straight, we wear out O’Flaherty, Venters, and Kimbrel so Asencio can hold down a bullpen spot and get put in games when we’re down by 3, and THEN get hammered because he hasn’t thrown in a while and he just may not be that good? Doesn’t make sense not to bring up Gearrin who was pitching quality innings and getting some outs.
These Brains are delicious
June 25th, 201112:19 am
Oh well at least OVentbril got the night off.
In all seriousness the starter for the Padres is a very good pitcher, tonight was no fluke. Some nights you can just tell the BRaves hitters don’t have the stomach to grind away on a guy like him.
Who is This Guy PITCHING? Excuse me, trying to PITCH!
And, there is no need to double switch when it’s 11-2. We ain’t goin extras.
June 25th, 201112:20 am
I think Fredi knew it was over when he put Ascencio in the game. I knew it was over. Just throwing in the towel because he knew his offense was DOA tonight.

Humiliation at its best.
Not sure why they wouldnt let me on the plane to SD to eat some SD brains…..real classy!!
Sooooo NOT DOUBLE PITS TO CHESTY!
June 25th, 201112:21 am
I just want to apologize to everyone. This loss is on me. For starters, I shouldn’t have let Dan Uggla join us on this road trip. Secondly, I’m completely clueless on how to determine whether or not a pitcher should be removed from the game. Finally, I just wasn’t in the mood to manage coming into tonight. I just feel like sitting on this bench next to my buddy Larry Parrish and admire the opposition’s performance.
Sorry guys, we’re gonna try again though. Hopefully we’ll earn a victory by hitting a bunch of solo homers.
