I don’t normally blog while the game is going on…..but I HAD to get up from the TV and grab the laptop.
For you JS and Uggla haters…they set the table in the first. McCann,Jones and Mather couldn’t get them home.
And WHY throw a high fastball (on an 0-2 count) to Pence??? McCann gave the location and Lowe hit it…so did Pence. Lowe, as everyone knows, is a ground ball pitcher. A ground ball andyou are out of the inning. Was this a call from the dugout? Probably.
Anyway, get off Uggla and Jordan. Ducks were on the pond and the “vets” didn’t get it done.
P.S. – I am a Braves fan. Just tired of the same guys getting blamed when the whole team is letting the ball drop. Uggla is out of his slump. He’ll be a .250 – .260 guy the rest of the season. Now, let’s get it done.

or id, dont cry, but id trade JJ and schafer to boston for jacoby ellsbury. jj will be arbitration eligible and will likely get a nice raise and hes a scott boras client so could prove to be pretty pricey.
You do know, don’t you, that Ellsbury is arbitration eligible next year. And his agent is…. Scott Boras.
But other than that, well, it’s still a bad idea.

Hard to project that he will overperform in 0 out situations leading off inning. I don’t believe those numbers will continue, although I hope they do.

Why even keep Hicks, Mather and Matt Young in our system? It’s obvious they don’t have enough talent to play in the Big Leagues.
p.s. need to trade Lowe now while he has good value. It’s something Braves mgmt hasn’t done well

Freeman has played gold glove defense this year. He has been streaky at the plate which is typical for a rookie. The pitchers make adjustments on him, then he has to make adjustments back. In my humble opinion, Freeman has shown that he does have a special bat in this his rookie season at such a young age. He is just going to get better and better

Man, that is a really bad lineup. It would look a lot better with Heyward, Nate, and A-Gon. Matty Young, Hicks, and Joe Ma are pretty bad back to back to back. Throw in the pitcher and you have yourself a pretty bad lineup.
But, I can see why Fredi rested Gonzo. We need a healthy J-Hey!

Any predictions as to what will the outcome be?
My guess is runner on with 1 out and Mather either strikes out, hits into a DP, Hits into a pop up out. Hits into a flyout.

Constanza needs to be up instead of Young and Mather (and maybe ahead of Nate). He is deserving a shot. Tyler no way I spell his name right Pastornicky needs to advance to AAA to see what he can do there.

I thought Redmon and Teheran pitch in a DH. Redmon had the better pitching line that day but Teheran had by far the more impressive outing. I think Redmon was in the 90-92 range I wonder if scouts thinks he is a good AAA pitcher who would get hit hard in the majors.

This AAA lineup is right out of Cox’s repertoire. He pulled this same crap every time we were on a hot streak. Settle for 6 in a row and then field a bunch of Bob Uekers out there. Hinske really needs a rest? And Agon?

DOB mentioned that tonight’s starter for Houston was a good pitcher, so at least for a night, the bats are back to their old form.
Got scratch out 3 runs, and keep them off the board, and get out of town with the sweep.

Unfortunately Constanza bats left and isn’t on the 40 man roster. He is a bit older too so I think he really has to continue his tear to start getting considerations…. but maybe if Nate is Traded
