Good work by Gearrin in the 8th inning. The Braves would really help us out by scoring about 5 in the bottom of the 8th inning.

Ok Uggla will do something to help the team this inning. Something good could be striking out with a runner on 1st instead of hitting a inning ending double play and then Freeman gets the big hit. that’ll work too haha.

Gonzo has the worst approach. He has to know that pitchers usually waste pitches when they are ahead in the count, but he continues to swing wildly. Worst man to have at the plate in a key situation with two outs. Frustrating.

All you idiots who have been knocking Dan, what do you think now? Think you’re so good why don’t you get out there and play. Dan didn’t swing at any bad pitches and then he ran to 2nd after the hit. He can’t help it that nobody drove him in.Why don’t you blame the shortstop who struck out?

Jonny was up in the bullpen in case the Braves took the lead in the bottom of the 8th. I expect that Kimbrel gets the day off and Venters is the “closer.” At this point, he might pitch an inning since the Braves will not have a save opportunity today. As Shaun would point out, this might be one of those times to use your best reliever.
