He just sent me that one- thanks!
Uggla, where rallies go to die
May 28th, 20117:36 pm
I shudder to think of the number of runners Uggla has stranded this year thus far. It has to be epically bad.
May 28th, 20117:38 pm
I mean Charleston sc wqnt cab

Uggla is so terrible right now. Imagine how good we’d be if he hit at his usual level…
May 28th, 20117:39 pm
No worries! I’ve got it on now

I think the AS Break can’t come soon enough for Uggla, the quicker he doesn’t have to see anything baseball related the better off he’ll probably be. They just really need to tell him to “Git” for those few days … don’t think about anything, don’t do anything, just rest.
Question: Does a pitcher ever make a mistake vs. Uggla? Outside of the balls two inches from his chin that he goes after?
Uggla leaves 2 more runners on.. when is this guy gonna break out. Atleast he battled to a full count…
I like you Edgar, but make an out here!
May 28th, 20117:42 pm
Good work there, DLowe!
May 28th, 20117:43 pm
Nice job Freddie!
JC from DR! (You gotta tip your cap to ____)
May 28th, 20117:44 pm
If only Mr. Freeman could do that on at least 1/4 of the RISP situations.
May 28th, 20117:46 pm
See ya lata’ Nate. Lovin’ what Schafer is bringing in his place.

Arroyo hope for the Braves’ bats
(…sorry, I ‘ve been itchin to say that.)
No one can post on this blog because we’re being told we’re posting too quickly! Is someone trying to kill this blog?!

nice bunt DLowe !!!!!!
There is no shame in dropping Uggla in the order. How much more embarrassing is hitting 7th or 8th then killing the middle of the order?
Wow! Just imagine, the Braves offense right now is treating Arroyo like, well er Arroyo!
if Jordan had gotten caught by that … they would have made him wear an even bigger helmet
May 28th, 20117:49 pm
Jordan getting it done!
That’s my boy Schafer right there! God, I hope he doesn’t get replaced when Nate comes back.
May 28th, 20117:50 pm
We have a leadoff hitter!!
JORDAN !!!!!!!!!!!!! …hell yeah !!!!
Was not a squeeze bunt, the runner wasn’t going until after it got past pitcher. Nice bunt by Schafer, who’s done good work since called up
May 28th, 20117:51 pm
that’s how you throw a runner out. Accurate throw, right on the money, and right at the base.
T for Texas
Ah, the season was lacking any sort of line up controversy. Another two weeks of Jordan Schafer tilting the CBI meter will change that in a hurry. Nate McLouth just went to his locker to grab some Rolaids.
May 28th, 20117:52 pm
Damn Jordan, that was embarrassing.
As I tried to say too quickly before – great job, “Marvin” – speed!
This is without question the worst base stealing team I have ever seen.
Schafer coming into his own a rare treat
Been away all day so I didn’t get to see your response to my comment this a.m.
Just a quick thanx for the clubhouse insight on those two calls at second last night. The announcers were calling them safe on both counts and I agreed. Very interesting there was no comment either way from management or players. Not necessarily a good development to my mind.
Still, I think COX would at least have gotten a clarification on the field from the ump. Having FG stay in the dugout was definitely different, but that’s him I guess. New game in town all ’round.
May 28th, 20117:53 pm
“…*than* killing…” can’t edit posts, but I can’t let that one go…
Texas hit 3 consecutive HRs in the 2nd inning. My beloved Braves at least got 2 runs this inning.
May 28th, 20117:54 pm
John Galt: I am with you. I want to Schafer get a chance. I have had about all the McClouth I can handle.
May 28th, 20117:55 pm
I’m going back to being a real fan. Rooting for the Braves until the last out. After the game, I may savage them a little bit, but during the game… Go Braves!
With no speed, whatsoever.
May 28th, 20117:56 pm
Good showin by the O so far. But, I think Ricky Henderson could lead-off for this team and not steal a base. Is not being able to steal a base contagious like hitting and pitching?
May 28th, 20117:57 pm
Yup, JC- Jordan can’t run a lick…
I like these announcers. Eric Karros knows his stuff.
May 28th, 20117:58 pm
Finally some offense
sounded like the crowd got Chip-itis there … all excited for a fly ball that doesn’t make the warning track.
watch out for the .222 hitter coming up
May 28th, 20117:59 pm
He was slow enough to get caught at second according to gameday… slow as a turtle.
Because no fast runner has ever been thrown out…
May 28th, 20118:00 pm
I think the thing relaxing Jordan is the fact that we don’t need him to come up and try to hit a home run every time up, which is what he tried to do two seasons ago. We’ll be just fine with him playing within his game which is a .250-.270 hitter, good speed, and finally a decent arm in the outfield.
Question is, if he keeps this up what to do with Nate. He makes way too much to be sitting around on the bench. He could maybe bring back a decent bullpen arm in a trade. Who knows, I’m just happy Schafer looks to have figured things out.
May 28th, 20118:01 pm
No, never in life.
its nice to be able to see intensity when watching Jordan he has some growing to do but i think the effort is there. we will see but liking it so far
And he was fast enough to record yet another infield hit…
Otis Nixon probably needs the money. We should bring him in few a few weeks to work with Schafer on watching the pitcher, getting a jump and not looking in. Not saying Schafer is ever going to be a real 50SB kinda guy… but he’s fast enough to grab a few and eliminating some of those caught stealings would be nice.
May 28th, 20118:03 pm
Now THAT would be impressive.
safe to say Fredi will have a hard decision to make once Nate gets back from the DL, especially if Jordan keeps hitting.
If Jordan holds down the lead off slot for a while the Braves have Marveeeen and Marteeeen at the top of the order.
If I was FW i would petition MLB to cancel all off days for the rest of the season…….The first day after an off day this team looks flat ,and it seems to take till the 7th or 8th inning for them to get going.
He should be faster than a fastball.
Lowe will be at more than 100 pitches by the 5th inning.
Common Lowe throw strikes.
May 28th, 20118:05 pm
Lowe is asking Bruce to kick his ass. Didn’t do it in the 1st, will he do it now?
May 28th, 20118:06 pm

I think the time warp doesn’t bother me so much ’cause I remember this place when you had to wait five minutes to see a post.
BAS – Yes, but before during in-game comments, you had time to digest why someone sucked, down a beer, then post. Now, you post “that sucks” and McFann thinks you’re talking about McCann’s throw and your really talking about the HD reception comment.
May 28th, 20118:09 pm
DLowe livin’ on da edge !! …
Come on Lowe.
Does Lowe think he has Bruce’s number? He keeps pitching around Rolen.

Uh, he was great until he broke his wrist.
May 28th, 20118:13 pm
Yeah!! Regression toward the mean for the Braves offense!!!!!

Can we hire Arroyo to be our batting practice pitcher?
May 28th, 20118:14 pm
I hope McFann got to see that.
McCann is now 8-for-16 with three homers off Reds’ Arroyo
