The A Bomb

Just triple checking…
That WAS 3 consecutive outs for Linebrink?
May 28th, 201110:53 pm
Gonzo to swing wildly at 3 high fastballs…this will not be surprising.
May 28th, 201110:54 pm
@VeniceJim….Thanks for reply.
Freeman leading off in bottom of 11th
Linebrink For Cy
“That WAS 3 consecutive outs for Linebrink?”
and 3 innings between yesterday and today, gave up just a hit and a walk
Now THAT’S how to make an exhausted reliever work hard! Do we have a lick of sense collectively as a team? My bad…stupid question.
May 28th, 201110:55 pm
Sutton seems to have Chipitis tonight – yelling as that ball was hit…
Another player was simply trying to hit a homerun. Nobody is attempting to work the count and get an inning start in a positive manner.
Unless Turner Field becomes a PONY field this isn’t going to work.
May 28th, 201110:56 pm
All seven of the Braves’ extra-innings affairs in past 16 games have lasted 11 innings or more
4 straight fly ball outs
Phillies win again, Marlins up early on Dodgers. Braves battling the struggling Reds to avoid being closer to last than first in the division…
boy the braves can’t get a hit to save their lives
May 28th, 201110:57 pm
Braves don’t win in the 11th …. leads me to believe they won’t win this game.
They saw 6 pitches that inning! come on! work a count for God’s sake.
At least it wasn’t a fly out.
Don Sutton is killing me on these fly balls HIGH aND DEEP BACK BACK AND hes got it short of the track for out #…………………………………….
May 28th, 201110:58 pm
Linebrink for the 12th.
See Pickett’s Charge, Gettysburg.
Radio announcer are listing 6 reason why the Braves should win this game. I only need one.
May 28th, 201110:59 pm
6 pitches to get ou of the inning…aggressiveness sure is working for us!
Who is left at this point? Sherrill?
Lowe has inadvertently screwed not just the Braves but the Reds too with his shenanigans.
May 28th, 201111:00 pm
Linebrink is settling down well, now we need offense, and deeper performances by starters give all the bullpen guys some much needed rest.
Edgar . . . .
he ran once Linebrink why didn’t you check him???
We are tempting fate Linenbrink is out there again. No good.
Trouble brewing in the 12th with a leadoff single by Renteria.
Figgers. after all those low scoring losses, they finally score a few and can’t hold it.
LINEBRINK BOUT TO PISS IT AWAY SON
JC from DR! (You gotta tip your cap to ____)
If the Reds don’t score, this game will be 6 – 6 in its 50th inning… on Monday.
Wow…Renteria just advanced to 2B. Is that called a “stolen base?” We need to learn how to do that…
May 28th, 201111:02 pm
“The A Bomb
May 28th, 2011
Linebrink for the 12th.
See Pickett’s Charge, Gettysburg.”
And I said jeffrey d was over the top – you just took it to a whole new level!
May 28th, 201111:03 pm
That’s typical Don Sutton…he stinks doing play by play. Speaking of stinks, that would be our offense…
MOST PITCHERS GET A 5 RUN LEAD AND CRUISE TO AN EASY WIN
LOWE GET A 5 RUN LEAD AND PISS IT AWAY IN RECORD TIME
THAT MAN NEEDS TO BE TRADE BAIT, SON. I DONT CARE IF THE BRAVES HAVE TO EAT PART OF HIS CONTRACT. GET RID OF THAT MAN. YALL GOTS 2 KIDS IN THE MINORS ALREADY TWICE AS GOOD AS LOWE.
And hey, thank Lowe. You da man! Fu**** choked up a 5 run lead. Unreal.
Im sorry, but this offense had it coming.
Why can other teams still bases with ease, while the Braves are terrible at stealing?
DP! Common let’s win this game now.
May 28th, 201111:04 pm
Please score Braves…..
LINEBRINK FOR 3 has the same ring as JOSH SMITH FOR 3.
Brave4life-1995 all over again?
oh yeah baby
lets end it right here. A walkoff win is needed.
can they throw anyone out that is stealing 2nd?
Right now, no weaknesses on the bullpen.
The announcers are clearly rooting for the Reds here. Anybody can see that.
May 28th, 201111:05 pm
We have no speed…we can’t hold runners on…McCann isn’t very good defensively….does that help?
And by the way, we’re in big trouble…
May 28th, 201111:06 pm
Linebrink actually pitched well tonight. Surprising! Let’s go Braves time to bring this one home!
This is about to get ugly, I think. Talkin Dan Uggla hitting UGLY!
let’s end it right here
Tnbrian – no they aren’t…put down the PBR…
haha, yeah thanks for the answer Phil. That was more of a frustrated rhetorical question on my part.
May 28th, 201111:07 pm
F*** this, the blog is sending my damn comments four minutes early still. I’m done.
Cry, moan, gripe, waa waa waa..I mean, nice play, Alex!!!
Or not …
Now, can we manage a run?
Where are all the Linebrink haters?
AGON does it again!
nice play by alex, now lets get some runs
May 28th, 201111:08 pm
Bailed out…whew…for now at least…i’ll tip my Ipad to Linebrink…he done good again.
OH SH*T I JUST LOST THE GAME FEED
Linebrink has two scoreless innings tonight, after doing same last night
Double plays are no problem for this team…why can’t they hit or run?
Not sure if anyone asked his question yet but, who else is lieft in the Braves pen?
May 28th, 201111:09 pm
seems like runners have around a 100 pct success rate stealing on mccaan’s arm this year
Thank you Phil for stating the obvious. I think we can all see that we are in big trouble.
If the Braves see more than 6 pitches this inning it will be a moral victory.
Done in one batter…
May 28th, 201111:10 pm
Schafer just saw more pitches in his one at bat than the prior 3 hitters saw combined last inning. And what did he get for it? On base! God bless him…
do you send shaffer?
“Not sure if anyone asked his question yet but, who else is lieft in the Braves pen?”
Sherrill and position players (how cool would it be if the Reds got beat by another position player??)
Alex Gonzalez is like a HR hitting Raffy Belliard…honestly…where would the Braves be without that guy right now?
EOF too, almost forgot about him
Phils used their 2nd base to pitch the Reds on their marathon game. Maybe Uggla is a better pitcher than hitter.
YALL GOTS TO FIND A WAY TO WIN THESE GAMES, CUZ U GONNA BE IN A LOT OF EM. SOLID BULLPEN CAN HOLD TEAMS IN CHECK, BUT YOUR LIMP-DICK OFFENSE GONNA BE IN A LOT OF TIGHT GAMES, WHICH MEANS A LOT OF EXTRA INNINGS.
Which position player would you like to see pitch for the braves? Wilson Valdez had obviously pitched before in his life, he was tossing up 88-89mph fastballs with relative ease.
May 28th, 201111:11 pm
Count – deserved that one, eh? Lol…but i was wrong!
Is there time to fly in Wilson Valdez for this game???
Love how Schafer see’s a lot of pitches almost every time up
a walk ?!?!
Just got in and see that Linebrink has gone 2 scoreless. Add that to his last two or three outings and some of you AHs need to be chowing down the crow. OPEN WIDE!
DAMN! Cincy has a good pen too.
Excellent job, Marteeennn!!!!!
May 28th, 201111:12 pm
Are the Reds down to their last guy?
Good eye kid!
walk! To send the runner or not to send the runner ….
Who is our “emergency” pitcher
yes ! Chipper bunt !!
YEAH! A leadoff walk!! Miracle sighting!
Chipper needs to end this game right here.
Do a hit and run
May 28th, 201111:13 pm
If we can’t score here, we should forfeit.
WOW…a walk! How can it be? Here comes ole DP Prado!
May 28th, 201111:14 pm
Wish they would try a hit and run or steal
Just checking in with the game as I’m traveling and have no access to the game because of Fox so I’m listening. So did we come back in this game or did they?
gonzalez doesnt know what he’s doing at all
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
