The difference in Ballpark Dimensions (Pro Player straight line shorter dimensions LF and Turner Field arching deeper dimensions in LF) Are Killing Struggla who is a dead pull hitter that takes advantage of dimensions like that. Balls that are Outs here would’ve been Doubles or Homers either off or over the Teal Tower when Struggla was playing with the Marlins…Then Again, I still don’t get it because Struggla used to Clown against us when he hit here in years past

ive seen som pretty bad announcers in my day but the reds guys take the cake. just just argued that the ball hit by uggla would have been 20 rows up in the stands in cincy, but credit leake for him being smart enough to pitch to the ball park and thus keeping that ball from going out.
they also knocked hanson earlier by saying he was a sub .500 pitcher on a playoff team last year. they were completely oblivous to the fact that hanson had a 3.33 era and just simple couldn’t get any run support.

To your point, though, that 380 in left-center at the Ted is indeed 19 feet longer than in Sun Life/Pro Player/Dolphins/Joe Robbie/LandShark Stadium. However, I can’t recall Dan flying out to deep straightaway LF…

Agreed! That 19 Foot Difference in the LCF comparision from Pro Player Stadium as opposed to Turner Field has been the difference in Struggla having at least a .240 avg with more Xtra base hits and homers as opposed to where he is at now…
I thought the differential was only 10-12 feet but damn, 19 Feet?
I can taste a Solo homer before the night is over BTW

Mac should either be converted to a first baseman or go DH in the American League. He can block balls and call a game and occasionally will throw out a slower guy at 2nd, but man he’s lucky he can swing the stick.

It could be a lot worse, but to be honest I’d rather see the Braves get hammered than lose another close one. This type of game gives false hope that they might somehow figure out how to hit again.

@Tomahawkin…..Yes, I had planned to go but backed out based on the obvious….Hopefully, I’ll get there soon but I want to see action and at least a few of those in the gap bombs….when is the last time a Brave has hit one in the gap for a double or triple–if they can limp that far?
