Typical. Same result. Over and over and over. A hanging curve for strike one and a weak groundball to SS. Why bring the closer in down by 2 runs. What if we tie it? Who is running this team? Steve Carrell? Arnold? Oprah? They all could do no worse. People you should all be outraged.. Handed an unqualified man the job to this storied franchise on a silver platter and he doesn’t have a clue. Now he gives up a 2 run homer. Fredi brought in the closer in a non-save situation. WHY? He certainly doesn’t need the work. Fredi you are going to single handedly ruin this kid with your misuse of him. SEE WHAT I MEAN? I have to go to bed. Two things I disagree with Freddy Gonzalez today. 1st, he should have made a straight steal instead of a hit and run with Schafer at first base in the 1st inning. And Pitching Kimbrel in the 9th when it’s not a tied ball game or the Braves are winning.

“In the last 10 days, Kimbrel has pitched 3 1/3 innings – Fredi is killing him…”

That’s not the point. You can’t predict when you’re going to need your closer for a save situation, so there’s no need to burn him in a game when you’re down by two runs. We may need Kimbrel to save the next two or three games, but because he needlessly pitched tonight, he might not be available for all of them.

I agree that it may seem like a petty complaint, but the overall frustration with Fredi stems from this team’s underachieving and uninspiring play all year long.
