When opposing pitchers are routinely setting career and franchise records for strikeouts against the Braves, there’s a serious problem.

Man, I really thought I couldn’t hate Melky Cabrera any more.
He didn’t care about winning last year, he was out of shape, he made ridiculous throws from the outfield (although sometimes brilliant throws),makes the final out of the playoffs last season, and now he goes to KC and decides he wants to be productive- for a non contending team!!!

I actually turned on MLB Network to watch the Royals Yankees game. It was blacked out and I got Nats Braves, was a pleasant surprise for about an inning or two…

Two things I don’t need to see.(1)That Clip Board Guy and Storen coming into pitch the 8th and 9th with a lead.(2)Waking up tomorrow and seeing us in 4th place and closer to the Mets than the Fish. Is this really going to be a 1-5 home stand?

What a great series. We sure know how to play like a playoff contender playing against great teams like the Nationals at home. We are sending a message to the rest of the National League that we are a force to be reckoned with.

The Royals are bigger contenders in the AL Central than the Braves are in their division in case you hadn’t noticed.
I actually looked at the standing from a year ago and the Braves were 18-20. Of course, they had already collected two walk-off, come from behind victories and had only dropped one home series.

Exactly, that is all we can say about this team because from one day to the next we are unsure what this team is going to do. They usually will get good starting pitching, but will the bullpen or the offense cooperate with the starting pitching?

I no longer have a problem with them losing to the Nationals in such a beautiful fashion. They actually deserve it.
I can only feel sorry for them. As a baseball fan, this team is unbelievable.

The Braves are 20-18 and 5 games back in maybe the best division in baseball.

I’m beginning to fear that this team has good starting pitching and not much else. Our offense doesn’t have speed or power, and without Moylan we don’t have a lot of bullpen depth.

Down 4 runs, with 3 innings to go. This is still winnable. No reason to use any of your best 3 pitchers (EOF, Venters, or Kimbrel, maybe Kimbrel), but this game is still in reach.

Plenty of power, not to much speed, and not to much good with the average either. Gotta love the fact that for the last few years so many were quick to blame TP, yet here we are with probably our deepest lineup in a while and struggling just as bad if not worse. Period and point blank, the talent in this lineup has to find a way to be productive, the pitchers for the most part are doing it, the offense on the other hand to this point in the season has not.

We’re definitely having a rough night tonight. Series like these suck, no doubt, but that’s what makes it a sport. Who wouldn’t love the Braves to win every game, every series, but that’s not gonna happen and anyone who enjoys sports you’d think would understand that concept– although I question that assumption based some of tonight’s comments. Granted it’s not fun to watch your team lose, but its part of the game.
In reference to those doing a nice round of complaining tonight, no one is holding your remote control hostage…(the image of DOB’s Elvis cut out comes to mind and is now making me picture a Moylan cutout holding a remote hostage.. while grinning to show off his new pearly whites— but that’s beside the point

I think most knowledgeable folks realize after Sherrills rough start his stock has been going up, Linebrink on the other hand………
Well better to suck now, plenty of time to find your replacement. Bullpen hasn’t been perfect but by far the biggest offender and cause of losses has been the offense. To talented of an offense to be struggling like they are but plenty of time to turn it around. I know that contrary to popular belief but it really is.
