Do you guys really think this organization spends as much time contemplating shopping as you think it does?
Mayonnaise … I want your DOR. Bat
You got it!

When opposing pitchers are routinely setting career and franchise records for strikeouts against the Braves, there’s a serious problem.
These guys suck.
Man, I really thought I couldn’t hate Melky Cabrera any more.
He didn’t care about winning last year, he was out of shape, he made ridiculous throws from the outfield (although sometimes brilliant throws),makes the final out of the playoffs last season, and now he goes to KC and decides he wants to be productive- for a non contending team!!!

Wow. Pudge is hitting HR?
I hear he’s been drinking again
May 12th, 20118:47 pm
I’m done. can’t watch anymore of this.
God, I f*in’ hate this team.
How disheartening is it to not be able to share your work with fans who have some knowledge of the game?
May 12th, 2011
Maybe the Braves will play well against the Phillies, maybe that is some solice we can take from this series against the Nationals.
The word you use that makes me crazy is “maybe”. I’m so tired of us thinking “maybe”.
Fat lady is singing and its only May
Way to Go NATS!!!
May 12th, 20118:48 pm
I actually turned on MLB Network to watch the Royals Yankees game. It was blacked out and I got Nats Braves, was a pleasant surprise for about an inning or two…
Good job Lowe! Another HR allowed. Way to keep the game close. Please don’t waste another pitcher. This game is over.
I’m not a big enough fan to watch this garbage. Night all…

Percentage Points Can Be Bad
Two things I don’t need to see.(1)That Clip Board Guy and Storen coming into pitch the 8th and 9th with a lead.(2)Waking up tomorrow and seeing us in 4th place and closer to the Mets than the Fish. Is this really going to be a 1-5 home stand?
May 12th, 20118:50 pm
What a great series. We sure know how to play like a playoff contender playing against great teams like the Nationals at home. We are sending a message to the rest of the National League that we are a force to be reckoned with.
Why the heck do the Nats have black hats now!? Their colors are red, white and blue correct? So they decided to use black!? That’s retarded.
May 12th, 20118:51 pm
The Braves are getting kicked in the NATS!!!! LOL
The Royals are bigger contenders in the AL Central than the Braves are in their division in case you hadn’t noticed.
I actually looked at the standing from a year ago and the Braves were 18-20. Of course, they had already collected two walk-off, come from behind victories and had only dropped one home series.
Exactly, that is all we can say about this team because from one day to the next we are unsure what this team is going to do. They usually will get good starting pitching, but will the bullpen or the offense cooperate with the starting pitching?
Well McLouth is hitting the ball…that’s interesting.
May 12th, 20118:52 pm
I no longer have a problem with them losing to the Nationals in such a beautiful fashion. They actually deserve it.
I can only feel sorry for them. As a baseball fan, this team is unbelievable.
Miss me yet?
May 12th, 20118:53 pm
I don’t really care if they wear pink hats. I just saw a guy with less than warning track power since he quit juicin hit a homer.
Rally time…..WTG Nate
The Royals are 19-17 and 4 games back in a pretty weak division
The Braves are 20-18 and 5 games back in maybe the best division in baseball.
How does that make the Royals “bigger contenders” ?
May 12th, 20118:54 pm
May 12th, 2011
Again, the Royals are very much contenders so I would imagine pretty disheartening.
They’re in second place and that division sucks.
Seriously, this is pretty pathetic. Embarrassing. If we arent hitting homers, we cant score. We cant steal bases, we dont bunt runners over, we are unable to hit and run…….we look like zombies out there.
May 12th, 20118:55 pm
All these Bulls fans in Atlanta are making it easier and easier for me to become a Heat fan.
Im aware of the standings. Im also aware its May.
This game is not over yet.
May 12th, 20118:56 pm
20-19 5 1/2 back, but who’s counting?
0-2 on Uggla again nice swing there!!
May 12th, 20118:57 pm
LOL guy throws it closer to 1st then home and Uggla swings at iy!!!
cabravesfan – True, but the Braves aren’t going to win, so what’s your point?
This game is not over yet
Uggla is all or nothing and right now is mostly nothing. 11 strikeout and counting for Zimmerman. What a joke!
May 12th, 20118:58 pm
I think I’m gonna call it a night. If I need to suffer any more tonight, maybe I’ll burn myself with a lit cigarette. Probably leave less scars that way. nite all
That’s it uggla keep up your great start as a Brave!!
Nationals’ Zimmermann has 11 strikeouts in six innings, two more than his previous career-high K total
Uggla will prob get hot when the Braves are out of it in Aug..
Gearrin in to pitch the 7th for Braves
May 12th, 20118:59 pm
“If we aren’t hitting homers, we can’t score. We can’t steal bases, we don’t bunt runners over, we are unable to hit and run.”
True…but what about the strike out? We are good at that.
See…I’m being positive.
DOB you can say that every night !!!
I’m beginning to fear that this team has good starting pitching and not much else. Our offense doesn’t have speed or power, and without Moylan we don’t have a lot of bullpen depth.
May 12th, 20119:00 pm
I think Jerry needs more help than he’s going to find on a baseball blog judging by that last comment.
Lowe: 6 inn, 5 R, 5 H, 3 BB, 6 K (65 strikes in 112 pitches)
May 12th, 20119:01 pm
5-1 game, Sherrill up in the bullpen. Great game for him to pitch in!
Positive again…count it!
May 12th, 20119:02 pm
what about the strike out? We are good at that.
May 12th, 2011
Sure it is cab, you just refuse to believe it. have a good nite.
May 12th, 20119:03 pm
last I checked, baseball games are 9 innings long.
May 12th, 20119:04 pm
Sorry. My logic meter has been running amok lately. I’ll try to get it under control
Why are we burning a good pitcher on a game that is already over with? Put Linenbrick in if we are conceding this game.
Your not allowed to use logic like that……..Its not fair.
It is like bringing a gun to a knife fight…..lol
May 12th, 20119:05 pm
Down 4 runs, with 3 innings to go. This is still winnable. No reason to use any of your best 3 pitchers (EOF, Venters, or Kimbrel, maybe Kimbrel), but this game is still in reach.
May 12th, 20119:06 pm
Our offense doesn’t have speed or power,
Plenty of power, not to much speed, and not to much good with the average either. Gotta love the fact that for the last few years so many were quick to blame TP, yet here we are with probably our deepest lineup in a while and struggling just as bad if not worse. Period and point blank, the talent in this lineup has to find a way to be productive, the pitchers for the most part are doing it, the offense on the other hand to this point in the season has not.
responses appearing before the comment that is being addressed. Awesome
May 12th, 20119:07 pm
The Nationals should be paying half of the Braves payroll as a ”thank you” for helping them get a few free extra Wins.
May 12th, 20119:08 pm
We need a knock
We’re definitely having a rough night tonight. Series like these suck, no doubt, but that’s what makes it a sport. Who wouldn’t love the Braves to win every game, every series, but that’s not gonna happen and anyone who enjoys sports you’d think would understand that concept– although I question that assumption based some of tonight’s comments. Granted it’s not fun to watch your team lose, but its part of the game.
In reference to those doing a nice round of complaining tonight, no one is holding your remote control hostage…(the image of DOB’s Elvis cut out comes to mind and is now making me picture a Moylan cutout holding a remote hostage.. while grinning to show off his new pearly whites— but that’s beside the point ) Okay so other than maybe Moylan, no one is holding your remote hostage so change the damn channel.
May 12th, 20119:09 pm
People please go look what Sherrill has done this season……1bad game(2 earned runs) and all zeros since.
Sherrill is doing a very good job.
see, cab, even the Braves board is screwed up. LOL
May 12th, 20119:10 pm
We really need to trade that bum…Hinske!
Hinske is PULL HAPPY
May 12th, 20119:12 pm
Walk. That’s a start.
W T F is going on here???
when you know…tell Fred too!
May 12th, 20119:13 pm
Had to step off for a minute
What Did I Miss?
Can we score 1 measly run this inning? Please?
Who would have thought The Hawks and Braves would end their seasons on the same night ?
this is getting uggly at my house with all those Nats brooms
at least I am getting some free cleaning done….
May 12th, 20119:14 pm
Good job, Gonzo…
Sherrill is doing a very good job.
I think most knowledgeable folks realize after Sherrills rough start his stock has been going up, Linebrink on the other hand………
Well better to suck now, plenty of time to find your replacement. Bullpen hasn’t been perfect but by far the biggest offender and cause of losses has been the offense. To talented of an offense to be struggling like they are but plenty of time to turn it around. I know that contrary to popular belief but it really is.
May 12th, 20119:15 pm
Have no fear Brooksy is here!
May 12th, 20119:16 pm
I’m sure there have been some BALLGAME!!s. I see we have a SEASON!! now too.
Anybody for a DECADE!!! ???
May 12th, 20119:17 pm
You know when your are struggling offensively when our radio commentators are raving on Brooks long fly out on game 1.
.125 Brooks–it doesn’t get any bettter than this
SUCKITUDE…To Infinity & Beyond!!!
May 12th, 20119:18 pm
Brooks sold that one, looked like a strike
May 12th, 20119:19 pm
oh well at least Chipper homered
Come on Prado!!!!
May 12th, 20119:20 pm
OK, Prado be patient.
Come On Martini!
May 12th, 20119:21 pm
We just had a nice little earthquake here. The world is falling apart.
Impetus for serious rally is there let’s show this BurnNatt we are serious.
Please don’t hit for DP.
Grown men, professionals, at a kids game are playing like kids. No pride, only selfish achievements are the order it seems. We swing for the fence and strike out . . . our manager uses some strange tactics, why keep doing things that fails like pouring gas on a match to see if it will go out . . . we’ll just tip our cap to EVERYBODY and say wait til next year again.
May 12th, 20119:22 pm
Come on Martin, we need a DP.
Selfish achievements? From who??
Tommy Gregg needs to step it up.
May 12th, 20119:23 pm
