I always thought it was mostly on the bad pro sports teams, if not for the braves 1 world series we would have no pro sports championships in this city. Besides, at least half of the folks on this blog are not even from Atlanta, which in its own ironic way represents one of the biggest problems we have in Atlanta. Everyone from everywhere…….
Danny Espinosa, him of the career .210 BA, .402 SLG just drove a pitch over the dead center field fence.
No wonder that Derek Lowe looked like he was in shock — Coach
You do realize he’s a rookie? That was his 10th homer in 225 at-bats over two seasons. Which, if my math is correct, projects to about 25 homers in a full season.
You might be tame, but also show no intensity or passion. Say what you want about the classlessness of Philly fans, at least they sell out every night and are passionate about their team.
I love how people get all defensive but let’s face it, the Braves have brought on the criticism by a.) playing horrendous defense and digging themselves in a huge hole Tuesday, b) blowing a 2 run 9th inning lead and then imploding in extra innings last night, and c) blowing a chance to score early and then, giving up a HR to a .200 hitter tonight.
And all this against a Nats team without their best hitter. It’s inexcusable for a team that had supposedly turned it around in the early part of the month.

Yankees currently down 6-0 to the KC Royals (the team otherwise known as Braves AAAA) after losing last night. The difference in payroll and quality isnt negligible. Yet…
Its always easy to blame pitching, but where the heck is the offense? We seldom score in extra inning games, and thus lose. We seldom blow out teams in the first 9 innings, and thus have late inning melt-downs occasionally.
Score some freaking runs and win some games for the pitchers for once.
