No wonder Cardinal fans outnumbered Braves fans today, they know when they come out to the ballpark there’s a good chance to they’ll see winning baseball.

This incarnation of a Braves team absolutely stinks! They are not worth going to watch play and spend my hard earned money watching a bunch of losers!!!!! Fredi needs to find another line of work along with McDowell whose pitching staff isn’t worth watching.

i hate panicing in april/early may, but this team is 6 (7 in the loss column) back from the phils. usually it’s not as big a deal cause the phils don’t start fast either. gotta hope that the phils hit a big losing streak or something. and on a bad note they are without blanton, lidge, contreras, utley and brown. it’s starting to look like the WC is gonna be the braves best (only?) shot.

These guys just came back from a 6-4 road trip, sweeping the Giants in their own house. We lose 2 games at home, and all of a sudden the Braves suck and Fredi doesn’t know his a__ from a hole in the ground. I really don’t understand some of you people. They ALWAYS start slow. More pressure has to put on the umpires by our coach. A guy can’t find the plate and then get’s three borderline strikes and one so far inside I thought Eric Gregg had returned from the afterlife. The Braves have a lot of worries. The ball is not falling for them and some fire is needed. They have a good team.

gophils – it doesn’t take guts to win when you can afford to go out and get guys like Halladay, Lee, Oswalt, etc. The Phils were built to win by an ownership that cares enough to spend the money needed. It was the same thing for the Braves back in the 90’s. But don’t go puffing your chest about the guts of the Phillies. What have they done so far other than meet expectations? The Phillies should win most nights with the roster they have.

This isn’t just 2 days in a row. Go back and look at our last four-five losses. All have been via a blown late lead. A good team would have lost one, MAYBE two of those.Right now, this just isn’t a good team, regardless of how many times CR or DOB or anyone around baseball keep talking about how early it is. You know, like we haven’t been following baseball for years and need to be constantly reminded as though we were children. Just because it’s early doesn’t mean there are not things to be alarmed about. And there are quite a few with this team.

Bravessfan– it’s called the law of averages.

The Braves pinch-hitters last year over-achieved.
This year they are underachieving, thus balancing out to reality.

When Brooks Conrad is your bench key, you are asking for trouble.

We also lost Diaz, which cannot be underestimated even though he had a rough year, and until Chipper got hurt we had Infante off the bench several games.

This team has way too many holes I’m afraid. No righty stick off the bench, no speed anywhere, no leadoff hitter, inconsistent bullpen with a rookie and setup guy that are too young, etc.

Another good baseball game but not a good result. Too bad.

I noticed another call for Venters to close, maybe he should. I did notice that he allowed to inherited runners to score.

Bottom of the 8th, damn. Just missed a homerun, end up with a double. Then two hard hit balls turned into outs. Bad luck.

Holliday opens the ninth with a fine example of hitting. I mean if that had been Chipper, Heap, or Heyward, we would have said, ha take that Mr. Closer, right. Passed ball, that’s on Heap, it happens.

Laird’s AB though, man. High inside fastball looking for a swing and a miss, good call, two inches higher and no way he gets his bat on it, but as it was he did a damn fine job of keeping his back elbow tucked in and getting the fat part of the bat on the ball. Again, if it is a Brave hitter it’s take that. Well I’m not happy, but I’m not blind either.

Except, last time I checked David Justice, Terry Pendleton, Ron Gant, Otis Nixon, Deion Sanders, Tom Glavine, Steve Avery and John Smoltz aren’t on the 2011 Braves roster.

The Braves act like the Hawks, EVERYBODY in the league knows that team needs a point guard or a center, but yet they fool only themselves. Even the announcers said it the other day on FOX. The Braves need a leadoff hitter in a bad, bad way!

The Braves tried painting a Pinto red and calling it a Corvette..sorry its not that simple! This team will once again be a slow, one run home run hitting team that cant win the late inning games cause they refuse to get a speedster that could have possibly won a game like the one the lost today!

They will keep hittin them homeruns with on one on base while other teams will continue to manufacture runs cause the Braves done know how to! THE SLOWEST TEAM IN BASEBALL

White Hispanic and Latino Americans are citizens and residents of the United States who are racially white and ethnically Hispanic or Latino.
White American, itself an official U.S. racial category, legally refers to people “having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa” residing in the United States.[26]

In the 2010 United States Census, 50 million Americans (16% of the total population) listed themselves as ethnically Hispanic or Latino American. Of those, 53.0% (26.7 million) self-identified as racially white. The remaining respondents listed their race as: Some other race 36.7%, multi-racial 6.0%, Black or African American 2.5%, American Indian and Alaska Native 1.4%, Asian 0.4%, and Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander 0.1%.[25]
Respondents in the “Some other race” category are reclassified as white by the Census Bureau in its official estimates of race. This means that more than 90% of all Hispanic or Latino Americans end up counted as “white” in some statistics of the US government, equalling 43.1 million in 2008.[30]
Native-born and immigrant Hispanics and Latinos identify as White in nearly identical percentages: 53.9 and 53.7, respectively, per figures from 2007. The combined ratio was 53.8%.[31

Some things you just can’t explain like how one team can seemingly show up against another and win almost every time. Cardinals have now one the last 8-10 against us. Todays game was basically a carbon copy of last nights. Chances to blow the game open, hit the ball hard with nothing to show for it. We used to beat the Rockies like that back in the day, no matter what they did we could always counter it.

The Braves aren’t a bad team. Bad teams get blown out every night. The Braves are a talented team that is failing to do the little things to win and I would venture to say they are running into a little bad luck as well. Most everyone was “bullish” on the Braves after that 6-4 road trip and .500 record, now that they have lost two in a row – two games they could have very easily won I might add, All Brave personnel stink and/or are idiots. It sucks that they are losing, but that’s what expectations do for you – the team either lives up to them or they fall short. That magic that they had last year is missing a bit, but I’m hopeful that they will find it sooner than later.
