Whatever happens awesome at bat by Nate
Nate is just a tougher out as of late
McFann :Ô: :Ô:
April 30th, 20111:45 pm
cabravesfan Be he looks adorable anyways.
Very! His hair looks great…
He needs a hug
I’ll do it!
April 30th, 20111:46 pm
Braves win today. Braves win tomorrow. Braves take series.
I’m loving these quick outs
Back of the line, kid! I got here first
April 30th, 20111:48 pm
CaptainMudderland, I think the difference is he has been able to hit the high fastball and better pitch recognition.
Lol cab, you already have someone, so let McFann go first!
April 30th, 20111:49 pm
Nice Stab by Fab 5 Freddie
Take that Westbrook!!!!
Good stab, Freddie.
April 30th, 20111:50 pm
Here is T.S. Eliot telling us that April is the cruelest month. I am sure that Uggla agrees:
VJ understands McFann is a young ‘un…she can wait her turn!
April 30th, 20111:51 pm
Great play by Freddie!
Nice catch, Freddie! Man, I love his defense at 1st…he is SOLID!
I’m likin’ the quick pace of the game so far too…
April 30th, 20111:52 pm
Jason in FL
“Where does Fredi rank on a scale of 1-10 so far?”
I rank Fredi a 5 because his Lack of a running game is worst than Bobby’s and Last night he didn’t even have his players back on those F’d up calls behind the plate, Bobby would’ve been thrown out by the 7th inning
He has already made at least 5 dumb in game decisions on both sides of the ball that has cost us
Good Job, BB. Get Chipper up with some runners on. He is going to double in his next AB!
wow…FF. Good inning again for the BB gun. Would be nice to see a BB for BB right here.
April 30th, 20111:53 pm
“Jason in FL— Got to agree with Thawkin, 5 and sinking but has a nice MC— 8.5 there”
Fredi Didn’t have his players backs last night on those F’d up calls
And his lack of a Running game is a joke
@Tomas….yes…agree…& he seems to have better control of the bat–just swinging with more purpose & all….psyche better—you go Nate
April 30th, 20111:54 pm
Watch Yourself Martini!
April 30th, 20111:55 pm
O O O O that Shakespeherian Rag—
T-Hawkin, haven’t been able to watch a lot of games, so that’s interesting that Fredi didn’t stick up for his players. That’s one thing Bobby did…NO MATTER WHAT.
It worked to his advantage a lot as well.
April 30th, 20111:56 pm
At least we’ve slowed down tipping our hats man that was getting hard on the wrists
Boring Inning, zzzzzz!
mets up 1-0.. also don’t know if i really like our chances tomorrow with the nasty lefty garcia throwing against lowe, who hasn’t pitched well lately. i think the braves must win today to at least get one and put the pressure on the cards to try and win the series.
April 30th, 20111:57 pm
meanwhile, 18 strikes for Halladay in his first 18 pitches. Top 4 now, Mets up by one, 1’st and third, one out
April 30th, 20111:58 pm
If they would only score–Hurry up please it’s time.
Bay Area Steve
I don’t recall saying anything of the kind. Was I being sarcastic? Was I just expressing my jealousy again? Was I drunk? (OK, forget that one.)
Anywho, if I said anything like I didn’t appreciate your posts, I was wrong. I apologize; I’m sure I was directing whatever comment at Anders. Or Nick. Or…
April 30th, 20111:59 pm
Trey’s nice…cab’s mean!
April 30th, 20112:01 pm
lowe, who hasn’t pitched well lately
Certainly not in the last four days…
Tomahawking- Yeah Cox has actually got thrown out from the dugout getting on BLUE
April 30th, 20112:02 pm
Got a problem here…gotta go. I’ll check in with ya later. Go Braves!
April 30th, 20112:03 pm
Good Grief! Blue!
April 30th, 20112:04 pm
Throw it at the UMP BB
Normally, I get bored with neutral commentators fawning over an opposing player. But not when it’s Albert Pujols. Man’s done it all already, done it legitimately, and he’s still only 31.
Wow, that happens to Beachy all the time now.
enough about baseball, beachy, mcdowell, et al…….is there any way we can get rid of harry kalas wannabe ben ingram??????????
April 30th, 20112:05 pm
VJ: and definitely not when he was heating it up driving in downtown atl
April 30th, 20112:06 pm
BAS – I have vague recollections that it was one of those nights where you were on a stream-of-consciousness roll – I might also have retrofitted whatever you said to whatever lame point I was aiming for last night…certainly nothing to apologize for…
WATCH it, will ya?
April 30th, 20112:07 pm
Hope everything’s OK!!
BB is Dealin!
Now get him some effing runs…
The only thing consistant about the offense is its inconsistancy
Hello every one! Beeb following the Draft as, well, and the New york Giants in the third round picked up a wide reciever from Troy, and OT from Indiana…….So far good Draft for the G -men……..Beachy is looking great!
April 30th, 20112:08 pm
Correction Been following……… Talk later……
April 30th, 20112:09 pm
nah, Trey just doesn’t understand the Mac love
I can Taste a Solo Homer this inning
cs95 – also, his only bad start was the one on 3 days’ rest – he only gave up 2 last game (I think)…
April 30th, 20112:12 pm
April 30th, 20112:14 pm
I dunno…seems to me, he understands perfectly…
Oy, it sucks now that we are the ones hitting into the DP’s as opposed to our opponents hitting them to us
April 30th, 20112:16 pm
If uggla actually hit a double or HR with a guy on base in a close game, Id fall out of my chair. All we do is hit ground balls to 2nd when it counts.
i guess i was factoring in more the walks (though he did K 8 guys) and the fact that he gave up 2 runs to the padres.
April 30th, 20112:17 pm
Don’t forget, vote Uggla for allstar..
F, come on Uggs. This offense needs to start clicking. I hope it happens soon.
Back to normal (Another feeble offensive performance)
April 30th, 20112:19 pm
Westbrook comes into today’s game with an ERA over 7.00….yet after 4 innings, we only have one FREAKING hit. Once again, we’re back to our way of making BUMS look like CY Young candidates.
And to think that I picked Chipper, McCann and Freeman to hit on my espn.com daily fantasy baseball contest. Chipper’s walk (1 point) is all I have to show for the 3 of them combined through 4 innings today.
Figures, lol. Why in the world did I think that 3 of our power left handed hitters would rake a BUM like Westbrook? I must be a big time MORON to hope for such a thing.
Oops, my bad. McCann hit a single in the bottom of the 4th. Wow, now I have 2 points combined from the three of them, lol!
April 30th, 20112:21 pm
Mark Grace: “Gassssss.” Hadn’t heard that in a while.
April 30th, 20112:22 pm
Nice Catch Nate-Dawg!
April 30th, 20112:24 pm
I remember a game vs the Cards last year, Grace was the announcer and Kimbrel entered the game, guess what Grace said…….Gasssssssssssss, I’m starting to like this kid Kenny
April 30th, 20112:25 pm
Ho Sit Down
BB has fit in to this rotation nicely I’d say.
April 30th, 20112:26 pm
I think we score this inning… Nate with an RBI just seems likely to me for some reason.
April 30th, 20112:27 pm
apparently chad ochocinco is in the house….from twitter:
@ochocinco: At the Braves game with @wpdeal13 and Albert Pujols is up to bat, I am close enough to heckle but he’s awesome
April 30th, 20112:30 pm
Heath – I think AGon read your comment and decided to get on base in order to make it possible.
OK no base running blunders
April 30th, 20112:31 pm
Well now please Beachy put down a good bunt(those have been tough to come by lately)
Lets See how we mess this inning up…?
Come On BB get the damn bunt Down!
April 30th, 20112:32 pm
Well… no RBI for Nate, but he continues to get on base of late with another BB. He’s been looking good at the plate lately.
Come On Martini!
April 30th, 20112:34 pm
hell yeah Martini!
April 30th, 20112:35 pm
Better use of the double!
That will flat out work…let’s have mo!
Tolda we score… I mispoke about the RBI for Nate… I meant a run scored.
Well we will take that…
April 30th, 20112:36 pm
Martini is the man
Excellent bunt by Beachy……
Way to show off, cab.
April 30th, 20112:37 pm
April 30th, 20112:38 pm
Fredi didn’t wanna get thrown out of the game and have it make news.. In light of HIS pitching coach riding the pine at an undisclosed location. Some of you people really need to learn how to read between the lines.
Cue the dolts telling me how I’m wrong now, eh? Only problem is, I only popped in to make this point and have now left the building.
April 30th, 20112:39 pm
Ho Sit Down Westbrook!
From what I can see in the box scores, Beachy sacrificed the runners over and Prado proceed to hit a 2 run double. Nice going fellas. About time some fundamentals were exhibited on the field.
Hopefully Beachy can hold them down now that he’s up 2-0.
April 30th, 20112:40 pm
So I wonder if the MLB Man Cave gets all the Fox games….
April 30th, 20112:42 pm
LAG……….perhaps the Braves offense read my 2:19pm post and decided to score a couple of runs.
The best thing about Beachy is that he throws strikes and goes after hitters. While he doesnt walk a lot of guys, he needs to learn how to go after hitters while keeping his pitch count down. If he can do that, we could have another Greg Maddux on our hands. Being able to go deep into games would really help save our bullpen.
Damn I wish I could see today’s game, lol!
I checked out Ochocinco’s tweets about being at the game today and it’s pretty cool. It looks like a Braves fan – season ticket holder tweeted Ocho and told him he should check out the game today. Ocho said he didn’t have a ticket, the kid responded and said he had one. So they exchanged cell phone numbers and are at the game together. That’s kinda cool….
April 30th, 20112:45 pm
Like the communication by Mac there
April 30th, 20112:47 pm
