holy smokes people. Its only the first month of the season. The Braves last season started off 9-14 for the month of April. The Braves have jsut had a couple of tough games. When Prado gets going and Uggla too the braves will start winning games. NO need to give up
I think we are all aware that the only reason why the Braves made the playoffs last year was because they had the best home record in baseball. Well, they suck at home this year. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Braves finished the season 20 games outta first and 10 games off the pace for the wild card. This is not a very good team.
What to watch for in Uggla bouncing out of this–and I have not seen last 3 games–he will not be dropping to his left knee after a swing and he will be laying off the outside breaking ball, there will be less of the bat wrapping around his neck and he will be looking for hard stuff early in the count and totally dismissing the slider unless it’s in his area. He can and will get hot. Could possible be dropped to 6th in order as he is obviously pressing. The big problem is his REALLY hot streaks tend to be nowhere near the duration of down times. He can carry you but it won;t be for those 15 games streaks of really good “Streak Hitters”, dan’s are of 6-8 duration.
Brava, you won’t condemn Lowe for getting a DUI, which is obviously much worse than what McDowell supposedly did? Lowe is 32 years old so he should know better. Lowe could have killed someone, but luckily he didn’t.

BTW, we misunderstood what Chipper said when he said they have their swagger back. He meant “stagger”.

Who really cares about the contractual particulars of the St. Louis players? I guess it’s called filling air time.
