Hudson looking very good. Nice to see the Braves offense jump out on top.
Going into the bottom half of the 2nd, still no mention from Joe Simpson and Tom Glavine the events of the past 2 days, lol!
I can understand not wanting to make a big deal out of it from their perspective, lol….however to just act like nothing happened….just reeks of being a lackey for management.

Venice Jim……..I’m not saying that they should harp on it like we have the past two days, lol! However to not even say a blip (in effect, acting like something that has DOMINATED the attention of the entire Braves organization didnt happen) for the first 2 innings of the game…..just doesnt sound right.
Well just now, Joe Simpson just said that the Braves placed Roger McDowell on administrative leave…and that they wish him back. From the way he said it, you’d think that either McDowell was ill, or dealing with a family issue (kind of like what Roy Oswalt is dealing with). He failed to mention why he was placed on administrative leave.
Also, Joe Simpson just read Lowe’s statement saying that he sorry that the incident happened…..however just as with McDowell, Simpson didnt mention exactly what Lowe was sorry for.
Tom Glavine had absolutely nothing to say. Kind of reminds me of Bob Uecker’s color man in ‘Major League’.

I cant believe how far Ryan Mallett has fallen in the NFL draft. With 3 picks left in the 2nd round, he still hasnt been drafted. Dude has probably the best arm in the draft, yet his character when it comes to alleged marijuana usage has seemingly scared teams away.

From what I’ve been reading on this site, the articles written about the two incidents have been pretty much of the softball variety. I do know that if Yunel Escobar had committed either of these infractions, the columnists on the AJC would have ripped him.
Tomahawkin…..my brother still lives in Arkansas (we both grew up Razorback fans) and he told me that what’s been reported on Mallett has been overblown.
I do realize that Mallet didnt exactly help himself with how he answered the questions at the Combine. He should have just said, “Hey, I goofed. I realize I made a mistake smoking a joint at a party (or wherever he smoked it, lol)”. If he had done that, I seriously doubt that he would have fallen out of the first 2 rounds.

Just read the “updated” reporting on the Braves response. It looks like the Braves are going to side with Roger McDowell because of what the witnesses that Frank Wren interview said. Wren said that they corroborated McDowell’s version.
Corroborated? I wonder who these “witnesses” were? Other Braves? If it were indeed other Braves who corroborated McDowell’s version….I wouldnt exactly call the case a “closed matter”. I mean, come on, lol….what do you expect these other witnesses (Braves teammates) to say? Kind of like how cops stick together with the “Blue Wall of Silence”.
I’m not saying that McDowell is lying. In fact, I wouldnt be surprised if what he said wasnt as bad as it’s being made out to be. However, it would be nice to see Frank Wren to be upfront and honest as to why he believes McDowell’s version of what happened.
Meanwhile, our offense has gone into the tank since the 1st. I hope that we arent reverberating back to our old form (scoring early, then taking the rest of the night off).

OK i MAY BE WRONG BUT..
I was at the game 10 feet from Roger in the bullpen watching Jair throw his bullpen. I never heard Roger say what is being reported. It was really loud and the Giants fans were brutal and drunk hippies making themselves look like fools.
I NEVER , NEVER SAW ROGER WALK TOWARDS ANYONE WITH A FUNGO AND SAY ANYTHING ABOUT TEETH OR THREATEN ANYONE.
I WAS THERE FOR ALMOST 50 MINUTES WATCHIGN THE BULLPEN. MY SEATS WERE NEXT TO THE BULLPEN FRONT ROW. ROGER EVEN GAVE A YOUNG BOY A BALL.
