NATE!!! Nice hit…
April 29th, 20118:04 pm
Good for Nate!!!
Definitely not another feeble offensive performance
Hudson looking very good. Nice to see the Braves offense jump out on top.
Going into the bottom half of the 2nd, still no mention from Joe Simpson and Tom Glavine the events of the past 2 days, lol!
I can understand not wanting to make a big deal out of it from their perspective, lol….however to just act like nothing happened….just reeks of being a lackey for management.
April 29th, 20118:06 pm
Def not feeble – on the radio, Powell briefly talked about the two situations in the top of the 2nd…
Dammit Huddy, Blah!
April 29th, 20118:07 pm
Huddy just keep doing what you do…
April 29th, 20118:10 pm
Is there an impostor T’hawkin?
Happy? Joe mentioned it.
April 29th, 20118:11 pm
Def not, do you really think the announcers will spend their time talking about the two incidents?
Soph – beat me to it…
April 29th, 20118:12 pm
Is there an impostor Soph?
So glad the Braves are playing…and that I can watch.
April 29th, 20118:13 pm
cmoooon….get the pitchers out
Nope, it’s me. Just typed both of my messages back to back so they showed up at the same time.
Nick Punto will be a pest against us this series “Bank On It! Just like Pestorino and David Eckstein
April 29th, 20118:14 pm
Lol, I know Soph. I was just kidding.
VJ: I thought it was interesting when Powell finally addressed the situation, he said Wallace would only be filling in for a day or two.
peace that RG
April 29th, 20118:15 pm
nope its me…
just read my prediction post, thats vintage me
Hi Soph…or Soph’s imposter.
I don’t know how we’ll really know…
Venice Jim……..I’m not saying that they should harp on it like we have the past two days, lol! However to not even say a blip (in effect, acting like something that has DOMINATED the attention of the entire Braves organization didnt happen) for the first 2 innings of the game…..just doesnt sound right.
Well just now, Joe Simpson just said that the Braves placed Roger McDowell on administrative leave…and that they wish him back. From the way he said it, you’d think that either McDowell was ill, or dealing with a family issue (kind of like what Roy Oswalt is dealing with). He failed to mention why he was placed on administrative leave.
Also, Joe Simpson just read Lowe’s statement saying that he sorry that the incident happened…..however just as with McDowell, Simpson didnt mention exactly what Lowe was sorry for.
Tom Glavine had absolutely nothing to say. Kind of reminds me of Bob Uecker’s color man in ‘Major League’.
Good first third of the game for Tim…
I can prove it’s me.
Ho Sit Down Rasmus!
April 29th, 20118:16 pm
I guess I’m not up on the lingo you kids use nowadays…
April 29th, 20118:18 pm
Ok. I guess it’s you…
April 29th, 20118:19 pm
Nolie looks like DOB took care of the issue….Sorry it took me so long to get to it. Been pretty busy with some news…or some might say asking softball questions and writing mushy blogs (smile)
McFann O O

Uggla slams a little pine a la Hinske
April 29th, 20118:25 pm
Oh my bad my wife said he was talking about the “8 hole” dang this tinitis
banjo, what did he say about her. I was resting my eyes and I didn’t hear it.
April 29th, 20118:26 pm
Nevermind, you corrected it.
April 29th, 20118:27 pm
I cant believe how far Ryan Mallett has fallen in the NFL draft. With 3 picks left in the 2nd round, he still hasnt been drafted. Dude has probably the best arm in the draft, yet his character when it comes to alleged marijuana usage has seemingly scared teams away.
for those on here with the holier than thou attitude- i suppose you want to trade hudson fine or suspend him for dropping the f bomb when he missed that bunt

April 29th, 20118:28 pm
Was that Gene Garber in the Cardinals dugout?
bill, of course not. That’s not severe enough.

Huddy Getting Squeezed by McClellan!
April 29th, 20118:30 pm
just got back. Bat were you saying that you know who PL is?
April 29th, 20118:31 pm
I was At A Kappa Sig Party in 2008 Where Ryan Mallet got Busted for Public Intox…The Dude is off the Chain…!
April 29th, 20118:32 pm
April 29th, 20118:33 pm
Happy birthday to me. Give me a win Braves!
Come On huddy!
Lowe is an idiot. I would never leave my house with a hot wife like he has.
April 29th, 20118:35 pm
Leaving pitches high…and the hangers are getting hit
April 29th, 20118:37 pm
No, no idea. I was just joking around about PL’s source for ” fans coming out of the woodwork” about McDowell. It’s the ambulance chaser, imagine that.
Not that it matters much but the 12:28 pm post wasn’t me. I don’t post that much, so not sure someone would know to steal my name haha.
Gotts Tip your cap there!
April 29th, 20118:38 pm
This is what happens when u can’t get pitchers out when they bat…
U throw pitches down the middle 3-2 to 8 batters
2-2 now… this is not exactly what I wanted to see for a birthday present men.
or some might say asking softball questions and writing mushy blogs (smile) Carroll
only in comparison to DOB….
Does anyone know a baseball player, one that probably played between 1989-1994, whose last name ended with “ttlerkee”?
April 29th, 20118:39 pm
Who are these people getting hits???
From what I’ve been reading on this site, the articles written about the two incidents have been pretty much of the softball variety. I do know that if Yunel Escobar had committed either of these infractions, the columnists on the AJC would have ripped him.
Tomahawkin…..my brother still lives in Arkansas (we both grew up Razorback fans) and he told me that what’s been reported on Mallett has been overblown.
I do realize that Mallet didnt exactly help himself with how he answered the questions at the Combine. He should have just said, “Hey, I goofed. I realize I made a mistake smoking a joint at a party (or wherever he smoked it, lol)”. If he had done that, I seriously doubt that he would have fallen out of the first 2 rounds.

“Lowe is an idiot. I would never leave my house with a hot wife like he has.”
Co-Sign on That!
Happy Birthday Heath
April 29th, 20118:40 pm
Pitches are all high and down the middle!
Not so sharp today
This Sucks! The Cards have made Huddy work Hard this inning, no one giving away at-bats
Way too many pitches…
Finally! That inning Sucked Arse
April 29th, 20118:41 pm
Bat Masterson…..my “source” for the “coming out of the woodwork” fans who claim to have witnessed what happened on Saturday at AT&T Park was the espn.com article that I posted a link to earlier.
April 29th, 20118:42 pm
Carroll thanks for the blog btw..just now getting a chance to read it.
April 29th, 20118:43 pm
Come On Fab 5 Freddie!
Thanks, Carroll. …following the Braves while I wait for my fiancee to come home.
April 29th, 20118:44 pm
Carpenter getting into a nice little gooove courtesy of impatient braves batters
This is completely random, but what was up with that dude named Jeff at 3:20, who was telling folks that he hopes their mother, children, or wives died in a horrible auto crash at the hands of a drunk driver? That seems much worse than folks making light of the situation.
April 29th, 20118:45 pm
Gee PL, I’m Sorry. Their source was the ambulance chaser. Better?
That will work!
Come On Nate Dawg you are due for an Alley-ball-to-the-wall!
April 29th, 20118:46 pm
Hopefully last inning was Huddy’s rough inning. Carpenter seems to have settled in. Cardinals bullpen looked pretty suspicious against Houston. Keep pecking away at Carpenter and get to that bully.
Thats the McLousy we all know
April 29th, 20118:48 pm
Geeze give it a break. you expect a hit every at bat?
April 29th, 2011
We all have to get out of the house from time to time lol.
April 29th, 20118:50 pm
Happy Birthday, Heath!
This is a Make or Break inning for Huddy, Its Sink or swim time!
Yeah, Happy Birthday, Heath.
April 29th, 20118:51 pm
“We have Roger’s side of the story and we also have some witnesses that have corroborated what Roger has told us,” Wren said. “Once we have completed that process we’ll be a little more forthcoming with the facts.
Lets not hang rodger just yet…Wheres the video?you know if everything being said was true it would be on you tube by now.
Looks like a pretty good crowd.
Just read the “updated” reporting on the Braves response. It looks like the Braves are going to side with Roger McDowell because of what the witnesses that Frank Wren interview said. Wren said that they corroborated McDowell’s version.
Corroborated? I wonder who these “witnesses” were? Other Braves? If it were indeed other Braves who corroborated McDowell’s version….I wouldnt exactly call the case a “closed matter”. I mean, come on, lol….what do you expect these other witnesses (Braves teammates) to say? Kind of like how cops stick together with the “Blue Wall of Silence”.
I’m not saying that McDowell is lying. In fact, I wouldnt be surprised if what he said wasnt as bad as it’s being made out to be. However, it would be nice to see Frank Wren to be upfront and honest as to why he believes McDowell’s version of what happened.
Meanwhile, our offense has gone into the tank since the 1st. I hope that we arent reverberating back to our old form (scoring early, then taking the rest of the night off).
Happy B-day heath.
I feel like I need to post a “Ballgame!” or “Season!” or something. This is an awfully quiet in-game blog.
April 29th, 20118:52 pm
Thanks McFann. Thank Bat. I’m 30…again (really 31, but shhh, that’s a secret with my Braves buddies.)
Colby Rasmus has 80s hair.
April 29th, 20118:53 pm
Huddy is struggling mightily. Get someone up.
I love Seeing Phat-Albert hit with no one on…
Good play by Freeman on a long hop and Huddy covering to get Rasmus out.
Braves in-field defense has looked pretty good so far this year.
April 29th, 20118:54 pm
Just a copy n paste from the blog about Rodger…………..
April 29th, 2011
OK i MAY BE WRONG BUT..
I was at the game 10 feet from Roger in the bullpen watching Jair throw his bullpen. I never heard Roger say what is being reported. It was really loud and the Giants fans were brutal and drunk hippies making themselves look like fools.
I NEVER , NEVER SAW ROGER WALK TOWARDS ANYONE WITH A FUNGO AND SAY ANYTHING ABOUT TEETH OR THREATEN ANYONE.
I WAS THERE FOR ALMOST 50 MINUTES WATCHIGN THE BULLPEN. MY SEATS WERE NEXT TO THE BULLPEN FRONT ROW. ROGER EVEN GAVE A YOUNG BOY A BALL.
I NEVER SAW ANYTHING. I WAS THERE.
Bat Masterson…….dude, I was just sharing what I read on espn.com….not endorsing what was reported or saying that I believe Quinn over McDowell. The way you said it, implied that it was “my source”.
Meanwhile, very nice scoop there by Freeman. That is one part of our defense that has definitely improved this year.

Nice inning Huddy.

Top of the order up….charge!
We’re one injury away from Team Conrad.
April 29th, 20118:57 pm
Top o’ the order for the Bravos, third time through.
April 29th, 20118:58 pm
Come On J-Hey!
April 29th, 20118:59 pm
We’re one injury away from Team Conrad. N
I kinda doubt it at least for any extended time.
Hicks plays D B4 they use Conrad and there are Lucas and Diory available too.
Martin Prado is 3-for-19 since the San Francisco series
