Oh, and just listening to the recollection of events, its very possible a lawyer gets the DUI thrown out for DLowe and it just stands as a reckless driving charge….

Do you really think that a man wakes up one day and says to himself, “hum, this female thing isnt working out for me….I think I’ll trying having sex with a man and see how that works out for me”? If you really think that, then you are OUT OF YOUR FREAKING MIND, LOL!
No man chooses to be gay. I dont care how bad it goes with women…we will keep going from one bad relationship to another with a woman…..NOT venture into homosexuality. It doesnt work that way.
All my gay male friends have all said over the years that they knew they was gay from the time they were little kids (many of them grew up in religious households). In other words, they were born gay….no one “converted” them to homosexuality.
Another thing, I have gay male friends who have adopted children. If anything, they would MUCH RATHER that their kids be straight, because they dont want their kids to face the kind of discrimination that they themselves have faced. Gay parents do not try and raise their kids to be gay, lol!
Even in San Francisco, the VAST majority of children raised by straight couples are straight…even though homosexuality is not vilified here. The reason why San Francisco has a significant gay population is because many gay adults move here from other areas of the country that are homophobic…..not because they grew up gay in San Francisco.

Arkansas Transplant……..dude, I’ve read the “owner’s manual” before (even though I havent read one in years, it’s sticks in your memory like the worst bad beat I’ve ever experienced playing poker).
It condones slavery BIG TIME! Just because it gives rules on how to treat your slaves…doesnt make it ok. After all, is there such a thing as “rule obeying rapist, or rule obeying child molester”?
I hated my childhood because I was force fed the “owner’s manual”. Once I set myself free, I havent looked back. I’ve read and studied actual world history and archeology and come to learn the truth about man’s past….not some fictionalized, controlling the masses version the “owner’s manual” gives.

I would personally ask for a fan to be removed if all he could do was sit there and yell profanities. I’m not talking about an occassional expletive. If they wouldn’t move the fan, then I would ask them to find me another seat somewhere. If they wouldn’t do that I would ask for my money back and leave. I have been to several games and on occassion sat by a few drunks but have never had problem with people yelling profanities, I’m sure some of you may have. I’m sure it’s a common occurence in many cities. The day I have to make a decision between attending games or subjecting my family to foul language and bad manners is the day I stop attending. You can’t sensor life, but you don’t have to pay to get a 4 letter education. At some point owners will probably have to choose between more fans or freedom of expression. More than any other sport baseball is more of a family event. I hope we can keep it that way.

Jeff321…The last time I looked, still photos are done without movement. The subjects freeze so the pics will not blurr. Why are they moving the bat back an forth throught the “strike zone” if the pics are stills. There is not doubt that this video was to be released in some manner by the parties involved.

Can we please get this back to a baseball blog?
Teams would be better off utilizing the four-man rotation.
There should be no designated closers, the save stat should be made unofficial and managers should use their bullpen optimally instead of waiting until the last inning with the lead to use their best reliever.
The best combo of on-base and slugging should bat second in a lineup because he’s going to be more dangerous to the opposing team at that spot than at any other spot.
If we want to move the discussion to any of these topics, that’d be fine by me.

Wren said Braves hope to have a resolution on McDowell situation in a day or two….said Braves will be more forthcoming with information at that time.
Lowe will start on Sunday as scheduled.
Lowe apologized to the team and released an apology in a statement.

What I want to know is what did the SF fans do to provoke McDowell……He called them hecking fans, means they were the one’s who started it, and couldn’t resist to what they were saying and he responded in the way he did.
We all know that 90% of SF population is gay(okay I might be wrong, hopefully is less), so he was aware of this. The fans were harassing McDowell and he might have seen them do gay stuff who knows maybe it was a gay couple who had adopted twins. And when he said, kids don’t belong in this (expletive) ballpark……..Might have meant that ballpark in particular filled with gay people.
McDowell has been around baseball since the 80’s, this is the first time something like this has ever happened. Do you think that a guy that has been around for so long, would say kids don’t belong at the ballpark? No way, unless he went crazy, or is retarded, non of the above for McDowell.
I will say this, it was very stupid. Public Relations McDowell, just don’t respond. Now the whole country is gonna boo him when he goes for a mound visit, because of course this story makes him look real bad

Well braves get one freaking off day for the first time in forever and now they can’t stay out the news. Fredi’s quotes make it sound like the braves may eventually get McDowell back from his timeout and nice to see that Derek “Ricky Bobby” Lowe has written a carefully crafted apology for his actions last night. That’s good I guess and that’s really all I want to say on either of these topics.
We had a good roadtrip, came home .500 and this is what we have to deal with. Hopefully its not a distraction and we can continue our winning ways that we started out west. Cards coming in hot, lets cool them down a little.
