I was offended! Damn…where did I leave Gloria’s number??
April 30th, 201112:16 am
Venice Jim, let’s just not make it a habit. We’ll accept your appoplogy this time, but again, watch yourself next time.
April 30th, 201112:18 am
i was pretty sure that the roger thing would reveal many a stripe from our constituents.
it did, but it was pretty darn civil.
“tip of the cap.”
gotta say though a couple of you dont look quite the same in my head as you did, say a week ago.
Michael Uggs The Beast
Fredi sucks at everything, he cant even get thrown out when he is supposed to! I just cannot believe we could have this bad of a manager.. Sucks for us fans, it really does…sad..not winning…
JC from DR!
Let me write that one down…
Michael, The Abbreviation
April 30th, 201112:20 am
Fredi is like the opposite of Charlie Sheens definition of winning.. but in a completely 100 percent negative way..
Why is it so easy for the other team to hit a SF and the Braves cant. Can not stand LaRusso but he always out manages us can hit and run always amazes me how they can get a hit and then they get the SF. We win if McCaan gets a SF. Just knew Gerrin was going to give up a hit after that walk to the pinch-hitter. First hit they get two runs. Mather fails to get bunt down so we can hit into DP.Bring up another catcher so we can use Ross.
April 30th, 201112:21 am
but yeah kimbrel i believe is now 6/8?? Around 70 percent..not very good, lets hope he changes that
And it was just a few months back when BA (correctly) commented that I never had anything interesting to say…
April 30th, 201112:22 am
Bill – Its actually LARUSSA, not larusso but thanks for playin
Sorry, again – that should have been BAS…
Larusso was the Karate Kid.
April 30th, 201112:25 am
By the way guys please check this out, incase you forgot (which I did)
“On March 22, 2007 La Russa was arrested in Jupiter, Florida for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was found asleep at the wheel of his running SUV while at a green light. He was booked at the Palm Beach County Jail and blew a .093 blood- alcohol content, above the legal limit of .08.” – Wikipedia

How’s it going? Sorry about the Braves lose, but all in all not a bad April. McDowell put on leave. This reminds me of what happened to John Rocker, and the following year was released. I bet we see a new pitching coach next year. Just by how the organization handles itself. Just my opinion I coulod be wrong?
Yeah, I think we wasted a good pitching performance by our squad tonight because that 3-headed monster the Cards have in their lineup can easily put a hurtin on rook Beachy and Lowe can be seriously screwed in the head after his wild night out. Rasmus aint a bad hitter either.
Prove me wrong, Braves.
My New York Gianta are having a good draft. I’m well pleased…….
April 30th, 201112:27 am
I just would like the Giants to keep Drafting Defense now…..
April 30th, 201112:28 am

I keep hoping that this blog will get better. It’s not.
TnBrian: Any good signs in the game……Like positive…….
vj, should of hired you to tutor me in my applied calculus class in 1989 at georgia.
econ majors had at what the time was math 253 which was calc and math 244 which was aapplied calc.
nothing like trying to learn from a teacher that speaks almost zero english and is covered in chalk. parabola.
postgame quotes are up, folks….And i’m hitting the road after quite an eventful day….Back at you manana.

Powder Blue: A cranky bunch I guess eh…….
April 30th, 201112:32 am
michael, well he was not racing derek.
April 30th, 201112:33 am
We have Minor who we can call up ,so if Lowe is suspended for a while. Minor could do the job……..
April 30th, 201112:34 am
Ward, NO, we lost!
I said we pitched good tonight.
I dunno, but it sucks. I’m with you on the Giants’ draft. They’ve got a good core around which to add a few key pieces. I think they can make some noise (if there’s a season).
April 30th, 201112:38 am
So did Paul Walker win the race ?Lowe probably put up a good challenge?
April 30th, 201112:39 am
April 30th, 201112:45 am
Thank you, Carroll. Drive safe.
April 30th, 201112:46 am
so far not so great for fredo. three straight extras we have lost.
should of won two of them.
i will be the first one to say the manager needs to be in the background, but fredo has made some real strange moves.
squeeze with two strikes in wash. why pitch to kemp, why not let EOF finish that inning, why let martinez bunt instead of using huddy, why not use the straight steal when nate leads off an inning in extras.
that is twice now.
fellas, gotta a empty uniform sitting in hallowed ground.
April 30th, 201112:47 am
well the bullpen gave my kid the n8 home run ball…would have felt better if it was a game winner but it was still a good game
April 30th, 201112:56 am
All goes back to McCann and Gonzo hitting into double plays in key spots.

VJ @ 11:05 p.m. – “Since most of the commenting people on the blog right now take such delight in whining and crying when something goes wrong, I congratulate you on having a tough loss give you the opportunity to act like the simpering little children you are…”
OMG, seriously VJ…that’s not very cool. If you dislike all the moaning and groaning, then GET off the blog. This is for true fans of a ballteam…NOT fans that drink the flipping Kool-Aid.
Murph: If you can’t say any thing nice. Then don’t say any thing at all. Like when I was at work, and you have to talk behind my back, so there. The only conspiracy is you, and if you expect an apology forget it!
April 30th, 20111:07 am
I would have said the earlier if I was ont eh blog during the day you made those comments.
April 30th, 20111:08 am
I was thinking about the game on the drive home and IMHO the reason the braves lost is because their hitters made 36 outs without scoring more runs than our pitchers allowed over those same 36 outs for the Cardinals.
If McCann or Gonzo don’t hit into those DP’s or kimbrel doesn’t blow the save or anyone hits a solo jack or or huddy is able to shut down that inning or mcclellan has a more consistent strike zone or….or…or
You do realize there’s a difference between “drinking the kool aid” and acting entitled and whiny after a loss, right? MOST of the “positive” people on the blog never say the Braves are the best team in baseball, or the NL, or even the East. What they/we DO say, is that why don’t we all just watch and see what happens? Teams with far worse Aprils have gone on to do some pretty nice things.
I know it’s a blog and sometimes, the negative stuff is warranted. But it gets lost when after every single loss, the sky is falling.
April 30th, 20111:09 am
tiger297: Kimbrel blew a save…..I’ll have to check into to that later tonight.I missed the whole game tonight!
April 30th, 20111:11 am
Crime Dog: I agree with your statement. We will have to see how the braves play in May.
April 30th, 20111:13 am
I don’t believe the Sky is Falling yet! Bobby probably went through the same scrutiny last year.
Crime Dog – well, ya know what..same goes to you too. If you don’t like it, then go find another Braves avenue to be a part of bc like N8, I’ll praise them when they win and play good, and I’ll rip’em when they lose and play like $#@#!.
April 30th, 20111:16 am
Sure thing Frank. It definitely takes a lot of analytical thinking and patience to look at events that led to a loss and complain about them. Every. Single. Time. Not only that, but it must be a fun way to watch baseball since really good baseball teams lose over 60 times a season. Enjoy it.
I’ll give it a try.
Crime – just add to your scroll on by list
April 30th, 20111:18 am
I would, but I thought he was the only one here. Haha
Crime Dod – well, as bad as the R. Sox were early on, even THEY could beat the Braves. This isn’t one of them *good teams*.
April 30th, 20111:19 am
hit the wrong key
A lot of animosity tonight and there aren’t many folks posting.
no I’m still decompressing from tonights experience…and gonna be an early day tomorrow as well (I’m hoping to get a flight in before I head to the game)
April 30th, 20111:20 am
You’re right Frank. Everyone’s preseason pick to win the World Series probably could beat the Braves. All this insight and I don’t even need a press credential.
April 30th, 20111:23 am
See if I accusssed some one of stealing my name it would cause a fight,so I’m going to let DOB or Carroll check into it, and I hope they do? I don’t want any one using my name. Even to make me look bad…..
April 30th, 20111:25 am
Trey: What up buddy! Just frusterated with some one using my name! To make me look stupid…..
Ward – just curious if they stole Ward or Murph?
April 30th, 20111:26 am
Ward, if someone makes you look bad by using their name, then screw ‘em. If someone makes some dumb-ass remark under your name I think we will know it’s not you. They will get banned eventually.
Look no one likes loosing, but thats baseball. You win some , and you loose some. It ’s how you play the game……
April 30th, 20111:27 am
Ward, I don’t think you have to worry about anyone making you look stupid.
April 30th, 20111:28 am
You’re very welcome Ward.
Ward @ 1:26 a.m. – ” It ’s how you play the game……”
Yep, and as a whole, the Braves are playing like $#!@! right now.
April 30th, 20111:31 am
tiger297: I think it was Murph, but I will let DOB, and Carroll chek it out…..
where is murph?
April 30th, 20111:33 am
tiger297: I’m Ward, and Murph is Murph……Two totally different people.
April 30th, 20111:35 am
I know I was being a smart azz based on all the is ward murph crap from a few months ago
April 30th, 20111:37 am
well I’m going to bed…go get ‘em tomorrow boys
Frank from KS(Now living in CO): I can see how upset you would be.I’ve been there before.I’ve been a Braves fan since 1983. I’ve been through it all…….Thats why I just decided to have fun years ago, because other wise you would get white hair after every lose.
April 30th, 20111:39 am
tiger297: Be cool buddy……
Damn Ward, 1983! How old are you?
38 years old.I told……..
April 30th, 20111:41 am
Ward, I was just kidding with you.
April 30th, 20111:43 am

Yunel's Frosted Tips
April 30th, 20112:02 am
Bad thing is……Fredo has a 3 year deal to manage the Braves…..they will keep him for at least 3

Yunel’s Frosted Tips – reply to your 2:02 a.m.

Yunnel’s Frosted Tips: The only thing that bothers me is new manager after we had one for 26 years.Could see long year, but I “Have High Hopes “still…..By Frank Sinatra……
April 30th, 20112:46 am
All have a great night,as I would say:” In The Music Of The Night”…………….peace…….
April 30th, 20112:53 am
uga, was Beau Bock really a douche? I used to play pickup hoops games with him at Northeast Athletic Club when I was in high school, and I just remember him being real nice to me and joking around a lot. ’twas a while ago though…
Now Stu Klitenic on the other hand, that guy was a ‘nozzle and a half. No doubt.
April 30th, 20112:56 am
I use to love when the Hull Man would come on the Wake-up Crew with Christopher Ruud on 96Rock back in the day, and Ruud only referred to him as Gay-off Hooolinger.
April 30th, 20112:58 am
But you’re right uga, Dowdle was the best of them. Just a really nice guy. Met him once doing High-Q in high school.
April 30th, 20112:59 am
Did High-Q one other time, but Dowdle was off then so Glenn Burns hosted it. That guy was a d^ck!
April 30th, 20113:01 am
too bad uga appears to be gone, cause I don’t think anyone else on here has any idea who all these people are!
April 30th, 20113:05 am
tiger, saw your kid got the Nat HR ball. Congrats! Bet that was awesome for him.
April 30th, 20113:09 am
Frank, there’s no crying in baseball. Can’t we just lose a game without all the sensationalistic, pessimistic drivel?
April 30th, 20113:13 am
Nate HR ball, that is, tiger. If your kid got a Nat HR ball, I’m assuming you’d have him toss that ish right back on the field, right?
April 30th, 20113:20 am
Actually, if I ever caught a real home run ball from an opponent, I’d do all I damn well could not to throw it back. Would be tough to outlast all the fans screaming at me and calling me names, but I think I would at least try to hold out as long as I could. Might need to move sections, but I just don’t get the throwing the HR ball back thing.
I get it at Wrigley, yes, great tradition and all that. But once they started doing it everywhere else years ago, I just think it’s kind of stupid. If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on a HR ball, I think you’ve got every right to hold on to that sumbitch. But nowadays the whole damn stadium will just guilt you into throwing it back…
April 30th, 20113:25 am
Boom! 10 in a row bitches. Now I know how BAS feels on one of his long, lonely, drunken-fueled, stream of consciousness rambles. Well, minus the whiskey, that is. Vino for me tonight.
April 30th, 20113:32 am
Mike – well, not that I care about YOUR opinion, but who’s crying? If you like when the team is losing, then more power to you, my friend,
It’s not that they lose they gets me upset, it’s how they lose ballgames. Sometimes the way they lose games is so flipping redicilious, it’s pathetic.
April 30th, 20113:44 am
If you say so, Frank. One man’s “ridiculous!” is another man’s “that’s baseball”, I guess. I tend to chalk a lot (but not all) of our losses up to the latter, where as you and the rest of the bowl of sadders seem to think that EVERY loss must be the former.
April 30th, 20114:02 am
the latter? the former?
April 30th, 20114:03 am
And we’re not anywhere close to being a a bowl full of sadders
no, we’re ones that see and call it as WE see it…not try and sugar-coat stuff..
April 30th, 20116:40 am
Just saw your overnight discussion of past Atlanta TV sports broadcasters and thought I’d add Jim Huber to the list of the best. What a writer !
April 30th, 20117:09 am
Another extra innings loss. Braves aren’t catching many breaks lately.
April 30th, 20117:14 am
This just shows what a Pollyanna I am: I watch the game, and think, “Well, not much for the doom-and-gloomers to whine about in this one.” Two good starters do what they’re paid to do, good defense (that’s the best throw to second I’ve seen, in recent memory), double-digit hits for the home nine. Kimbrel is human (no surprise; although 9 times out of 10, the hit-and-run fails with that pitch on the hands), but you can’t get wired about that, I’m thinking. So, all in all, a pretty good ballgame; just a bad result.
Then I read the post-gamers. Now, my face is red, from being so foolish in my thoughts. There is no loss that cannot be laid at the feet of, oh, somebody. Or somebodies. The Braves are never beaten, they always lose. Got it. I won’t forget again.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
