UGASlobberknocker: I like the new REM album, but not as much as others seem to. I liked Accelerate (their last one) more. Really liked that album a lot. I just think most of the songs on the new one sound so much like songs they’ve done before. Not that that’s such a bad thing, because they sound like good songs they’ve done before. But I find myself listening and thinking, OK, this sounds like … and trying to remember which song this reminds me of.

Mike Jay, you sound like a VERY casual fan if your still basing your opinion about Heyward on scouting reports from 09′ and early 10′. Watch a game, stop drooling over how big he is, dont buy into all the hype for a second, compare his swings from early on to now, and then get back to me.

If you’re giving me a .400 OBP as a 20 year old, you can hit with a god damn wiffle bat for all I care.

Woman:
Bill and Wooshman aren’t making decisions for the braves… What the He!! you talking about? Our opinion has nothing to do with decisions for Braves. Neither does your opinion….Get a life..

U said Nate was better option right now than Schafer….I agree. Also believe Young are Rameriz would have been better than Schafer. I hope Schafer will turn it around but like someone already said he’s had 8 good weeks in 3 years..give it a break. I’m Black and proud of it.

Hey all… I saw a bunch of the Bravos today in DC. They are at the Ritz in Pentagon City (right near where I live)… it was funny. Nate McLouth is the fashion centerpiece of Atlanta… Uggla also had a hottie wrapped around his abnormally large forearm. Can’t wait for the next 2 games… I’ll be attending both…

Panhandledad, just wondering why Brett didn’t go to Orlando to do his rehad like the Braves ask him to do? From what I understand they require all minor leaguers to go there to complete their rehad because they can montior there progress and have a outstanding team led by Tony Jones!

What do Kimbrell and McLouth have in common? They are both strikeout machines,
——————————————————————————–
That’s a good April fool’s joke, or atleast I seriously hope it is……..not the Kimbrel part the McLouth part. I didn’t know Jordan Schafer changed his last name to McLouth, is that a recent development?

You must be high if you think McLouth is a K machine and Schafer isn’t (McLouth looks like Albert Pujols by comparison). Schafer swings and misses so frequently that no matter where you sit you can always feel the cool breezes he generates with them. Put all the lids back on the open paint cans you have around you and open up a door in your house.

I’m pretty sure if my son were released, I’d be pretty emotional. But, panhandledad, PJ’s question is a good one. If your employer asks you to rehab at their complex in Orlando, why not? Is there a big difference between the quality of care of Andrews’ PTs and the Braves’? Couldn’t they have worked together on a plan and had Brett do it in Orlando?

Looks like my thoughts on Freeman vs Heyward from yesterday have drawn some comments. I had a big qualifier in my statement: “if he gets an equal number of at bats”, thinking that if he does he’ll be hitting well enough to play regularly and not sent back to AAA. I did not say Freeman would better Heyward’s rookie stats, only that he would hit more HRs THIS YEAR. I think Day Man is right in that it’s about the swing. Personally, I haven’t noticed Heyward trying to pull everything, but he has a downward slant on his swing on pitches where he shouldn’t, therefore the no “lift” I mentioned. Heyward is a good outfielder with an excellent arm, is a very good base runner (not the same as base stealer) and patient at the plate (maybe too much). The tents or whatever to protect the cars in BP are about distance, when he does connect, not regularity. AND it was in BP. I hope they both have great seasons.

I’m always late saying things, it seems, but thanks for the info on young Lemon. I hadn’t heard of him before and the first thing I thought of was the former Tiger, because of the spelling of the name. It’s neat to see that he is his son. I hope he does well.

I am very sure that Brett’s departure was due to his fathers manipulative and unethical role he plays in Brett’ s life. Both Brett and his father are a package deal. No money is worth that
