The Nationals’ announcers said the tarp was coming off and the start would only be delayed a few minutes.

I was thinking he never went on the DL with the concussion- I know he missed about a week or so- and I had forgotten about the ankle- I now remember seeing it and just being glad it wasn’t broken (and that he didn’t tear up his knee)

You honestly think the Braves are gonna score 7 hitting in cold weather and against a Pitcher who has given them fits in the past…?
Not to mention the ball doesn’t carry at Nationals park…

I just don’t like seeing Chipper playing on rain soaked fields…I will be Glad when we get out of D.C. Who made it mandatory that opening day has to start in so many cold weather cities…?
Bad things happen when Chipper plays on F’d up fields…

Yeah, that was quite scary…and had he gotten his knee torn up there, his career would prob’ly have been a totally different story…

I’m gonna have a low tolerance this season for lack of run support for Big Red
The dude had a losing record despite posting a 3.33 era…instead of winning 10 games last year due to low run support he should’ve won 15 easily

Not necessarily a bad thing, CAB. I think that is part of what fandom is. To me that is the strange thing about other fans coming here and essentially saying that we see the Braves through tinted glasses. Much of what a fan expresses is “hopes”. Sometimes some fans lose sight that they are doing that and get dogmatic about it, but fans are going to have hopes for their team.
