Great heavens! Hubby won’t play Scrabble with me because I’m such a whiz at it but even I never use words like THAT.
I haven’t seen the words that jeffrey is playing, but I’d definitely be a little suspicious given the fact that he’s beating McFann, who seems intelligent to me, by over 300 points. Maybe it’s the luck of the draw, but she did mention that he always seems to start each game with a 50 point lead.
I don’t know how smart jeffrey is… his posts seem intelligent. However, if he’s playing 100+ point words I’d have to call them into question.
Nothing personal jeffrey, it’s just that my own personal experiences with the game and people who win running away the way you seem to be usually means there’s something fishy going on.
McFann Ô Ô
March 17th, 20114:31 pm
Dang…that’s a bummer.
How many words did your opponent play that a) you’ve never heard before
Hey, man, I’ve played words I’ve never heard before!
March 17th, 20114:34 pm
ncscoots, I wasn’t even thinking about Kimbrel when I referenced Bobby overworking the bullpen. I was mainly thinking about Moylan and Venters.
Murph I’d definitely be a little suspicious given the fact that he’s beating McFann, who seems intelligent to me, by over 300 points.
Ha, well, thanks…but being the non-bookworm that I am, my vocabulary isn’t the sharpest.
And I was exaggerating about him starting with a 50 point lead. I’m usually the one that starts the game, anyway…
depends on day of week send me an email and we can discuss… just send it to me @hotmail.com
March 17th, 20114:35 pm
Such cynicism is unbecoming to the Murph Manifesto.
The best part was the email confrontation…
So, Arianna, do you even know what zeaxanthin means?
Yes, it’s one of the two primary xanthophyll carotenoids contained within the retina of the eye.
Huh… how do you know that?
I wrote a report on retinas once…
Really? How come the font changed in your email after the word “it’s”… copy and paste much?
March 17th, 20114:37 pm
Top o’ tha afternoon to ye bloggers! Happy ST. Patrick’s Day!!!!
March 17th, 20114:38 pm
I know, scoots, I know… I will have to have an entire chapter of the manifesto dedicated to cheaters and their punishments. It’s a pet peeve of mine that brings out behavior that is unbecoming, I know… baby steps.
March 17th, 20114:39 pm
I was mainly thinking about Moylan and Venters [re overwork]
Nature of the beast. A manager is lucky if he has three middle guys down there that he can throw out without taking something to soothe his stomach first. Those guys are middle relievers for a reason. It’s only natural that you send out the guy in which you have confidence, and that means some guys are going to get the bulk of the work. Doubt any of that is going to change.
Failure builds character.
Are you Calvin’s dad?
Now I want a burger…
March 17th, 20114:40 pm
What game are they playing? If it’s Scrabble, there are tons of programs out there that will let you put your letters in and give you words that get you a lot of points. I used to be good at Scrabble until I found someone using one of those programs against me, so I haven’t played since. Not saying that is what is happening, but the option is always there.
OK, later, folks! Grandparents are here—No Blogging or Word playing.
March 17th, 20114:42 pm
cab, I will most assuredly buy that doggie beer and let you know how he likes it.
And McDonald’s……happy St. Pat’s Day to YOU, too. (Just had a thought…..wonder if my little nephew, Patrick, thinks this has something to do with HIM?)
March 17th, 20114:43 pm
Sure, McFann- I know you are just trying to avoid losing again!
McFann Ô Ô
Laters and…….GOOOOOOOO, BMac!
March 17th, 20114:44 pm

And I don’t expect that to change. I just hope that Fredi doesn’t do it as frequently as Bobby did.
March 17th, 20114:45 pm
McFann should be celebrating today. Her McCann is Irish! She needs to be drinking it up.
My father’s son, I guess, LOL.
There is no success without failure, else how would you know the difference? You can take a beating and lie there bleeding, or get your young azz up. Pretty simple, really.
March 17th, 20114:47 pm
Anyway My Big Boy Gut is Waiting, because I Got Big Boy Tilapia “On Deck!!!”
I Will be Back in a Gripp!
March 17th, 20114:48 pm
McDonald’s, lets keep McFann innocent of the drinking thing a while longer, shall we? She’s our youngster on here and we like it like that
March 17th, 20114:49 pm
jeffrey may be a lousy carny guy,but I don’t believe he would cheat against his friends. LOL
March 17th, 20114:50 pm
@bravesgrl4life “McDonald’s, lets keep McFann innocent of the drinking thing a while longer, shall we? She’s our youngster on here and we like it like that”
But She Grows up So Fast. (Tear) One of the OG’s.
March 17th, 20114:51 pm
I was referring to this method of building character.
March 17th, 20114:54 pm
SB, now that was funny. You’re right, my dad and Calvin’s dad had some slightly different ideas about character-building, LOL.
March 17th, 20115:00 pm
Who else is supposed to pitch tonight besides Huddy?
March 17th, 20115:01 pm
JoJo beats the Phillies today!! Ha, where’s that Phillistein now?
March 17th, 20115:02 pm
Somehow, I equate the word carny WITH cheating……;-)
March 17th, 20115:03 pm
Bawlmer Brave…was that our old friend JoJo Reyes that beat the Phils?
JoJo beats the Phillies today!!
JoJo… REYES? That JoJo?
Wow. I mean, I know it’s just spring training, but… wow.
March 17th, 20115:04 pm
Agreed, CB. jeffrey’s not a cheater.
March 17th, 20115:05 pm
Hey Richmond- instead of letting your player stand there and bleed all over the court and cause a delay, maybe you should have gotten out there faster with something bigger than a piece of gauze…just a thought.
March 17th, 20115:08 pm
Princeton/ Kentucky down to the wire…
Dang, Kentucky/Princeton game is down to the wire too. Ky just scored a fg to take the lead.
March 17th, 20115:10 pm
Cats survive. Boo.
March 17th, 20115:11 pm
That was close…thanks for holding on Kentucky.
March 17th, 20115:13 pm
jeffrey, when you come on here and read all of these replies about your cheating, I didn’t really say that you cheated… I more implied that you’re cheating. Innocent until proven guilty…
Except on Words With Friends. Guilty if you even suspect someone is guilty.
I guess DOB is trying to avoid the Disney curse by watching Kansas games in Atlanta – trying to get them through the early rounds.
March 17th, 20115:15 pm
Hudson will be followed by KK,Proctor and Martinez.
March 17th, 20115:19 pm
Who is rooting for Proctor vs who is rooting for Martinez to get that final spot in the pen?
March 17th, 20115:23 pm
37 minutes till game time
I am rooting for Martinez to get the final spot. I’ve been one of his most vocal supporters and it’d be a shame for him not to. I mean Fredi likes him, so that give him a chance right there to make the team with the final spot.
March 17th, 20115:27 pm
I’m rooting for the best candidate as deemed by Fredi because heaven knows I haven’t seen enough of either one to make an intelligent decision.
March 17th, 20115:28 pm
I go with Martinez. I’ve really liked that guy since last season.
March 17th, 20115:31 pm
I’ll watch tonight and give my choice based on stuff, but right now I’m leaning towards Martinez.
March 17th, 20115:40 pm
I guess the Spiders trailing by 3 at half is acceptable…
March 17th, 20115:44 pm
Snow yesterday morning and today in the 60’s – go figure. Melting snow everywhere and people in shorts .
March 17th, 20115:55 pm
Good evening, Braves Beat Blog denizens. Good evening, Ms. Rodgers. Everyone sufficiently tanked up for the game? Happy St. Patrick’s Day to our Irish brothers and sisters! And remember, you can always blame the food on the English, LOL!
Damn I wonder if me switching my name to McBravePack for the day will affect my stats for blog standings? I didn’t even think about those consequences.
March 17th, 20115:59 pm
new blog is up, O’Denizens.
March 17th, 20116:00 pm
It’s Braves TV Feed
Good evening (or afternoon!) denizens.
Spring is nay. Milan-SanRemo on saturday and finally today a streamed Braves game! Live is returning to being good.
Anyone looking for an internet feed: http://www.myp2pforum.eu/threads/53673-Streaming-MLB-Spring-Training-Thursday-17-March?p=1221371#post1221371 You will have to install Stream Torrent, but it works a charme.
Thanks a million for all your daily updates, DOB, Carrol. It’s a lifeline for this Dutch baseball nutt. Harstikke bedankt!
Now let’s see mr. Jones continue his relentless answering of his doubters
March 17th, 20116:02 pm
I’ve got Chili Dogs and Beer on Deck!! Put a little dill relish on those dogs for St. Paddy’s Day.
Ready for the game!!
Dang it! It’s blacked out on my Direct TV!!!
JC from DR!
So we’ll once again see a glimpse of our regular lineup (except Prado), and behind Huddy. A little taste of our Home Opener!
March 17th, 20116:05 pm
Glad I got MLB.TV for ST, but really would have liked to watch on my big screen.
Green caps…… bad idea
March 17th, 20116:13 pm
Please God, tell me Ankiel is not going to become part of the new wave of Braves’ killers…
March 17th, 20116:21 pm
Brian Jordon just said Adam LaRoche will take 10 errors off an infielders error total over what (Adam Dunn) the Nats had at first base last year.
You can count of something close to that for what Freddie Freeman will do for Uggla and AGon. Uggla is not nearly as bad at 2nd as the Marlins first basemen and the Marlins home field made him look.
