March 2nd, 20111:05 pm
Hey Lew, speaking of BB King, he is playing out here the day after I come back from my San Fran Braves trip. Ill be going to see him April 27th.
He aint no spring chicken anymore so I gotta take advantage of a chance to see him play live.
March 2nd, 20111:06 pm
Lew – so I guess you don’t want to hear me complain about it getting below freezing last night (31) breaking up our string of gorgeous weather…by better 1/2 was complaining the highs have been knocked down 10 degrees from last week only expecting mid 60’s
Why not put KK in middle relief. He seemed to pitch well for about 4 innings a game? Especially if we can’t get anyone to take a good portion of his salary
March 2nd, 20111:07 pm
Mitchie – Yeah, better see him while you can. I believe the Dude is in his late 70’s. You’ll enjoy the show, for sure.
Lew, I liked your paintings
AT – I’m trying to find you on FB and can’t. Can you send me another email with your name? email@example.com
March 2nd, 20111:08 pm
bravofan, I had to take some less than desirable tickets to get three together for the home opener and that was several days ago. It must be close to sold out by now.
Wikipedia says 85 yeras old! Wow.
I have 4 together that I will be selling…
tiger- Not so sure anyone (except maybe cab and vj) have had anything approaching good weather this winter. We’re used to it up here, though my wife did get stuck in the driveway yesterday and had to get pulled out. Goo thing Liberty Mutual covered it all so the plow guy could get in to do his thing.
March 2nd, 20111:09 pm
Murph, it’s on the way.
March 2nd, 20111:10 pm
Mitchie – Knew he was up there in age. Definitely might be your last chance to see him play. Go for it.
tiger297: how come? and where at?

Question for the group –
This is spring training game #5 and our Braves have hit 1 homer, correct?
PT Brave, FYI the food at SQ is so-so; we go there for the cold beer, margaritas, etc. and the Jimmy Buffett atmosphere. Usually a good crowd after work and on weekends.
March 2nd, 20111:14 pm
Nah, just someone who I thought you would be if you were on FB…no impersonations…
Think it has to be another one of the blog girls…
March 2nd, 20111:15 pm

March 2nd, 20111:16 pm
hinske works a fullcount
and hits a one hopper to 1b who puts it away
Hinskie chased a high fastball and then fouled off a breaking pitch then fastball outside away. Pitch down in the dirt for the full count then runners on the move hard hit to lars anderson at first sox escape.
Gonzo will leadoff next Braves at bat
March 2nd, 20111:18 pm
what is the title on the new bloggage?
March 2nd, 20111:20 pm
almost a great diving play at first by Freeman, but just off his glove. Ellsbury on with a base hit….(Uggla tried to make the spectacular play behind him and fired to Hudson. Nice play just to catch it from Hudson….This is the aggressive play that can lead to errors Fredi was talking about? Not to overanalyze)
Frank from KS(now livin in CO)

That’s the e-mail address I sent it too..

Saltalamacchia is not in the lineup today against his former mates but came by and gave some hugs by the batting cage. Spoke to my esteemed notes group colleague Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe and he said the catching job is basically Salty’s gig now, with Varitek playing 50 or so games in more of a Crash Davis type roll….well, that’s not exactly how he put it.
RBI single by David Ortiz off Hudson makes it 1-0 Red Sox, but Schafer just nailed Crawford at third on a nice throw.
March 2nd, 20111:28 pm
A run on two singles and a walk off Hudson in the first. He threw 19 pitches, 12 for strikes.
March 2nd, 20111:35 pm
Interesting to see how KK comes along now that he’s in camp…
March 2nd, 20111:37 pm
Bravesgrl4life, the new one’s called: “Eddie Perez nuts over the Braves’ top pitching prospects “
March 2nd, 20111:43 pm
I better get over there myself, since this one’s gotten stale!
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
