Sutton brings up a good point about the size of Mather being an advantage. His long legs enables him to take long strides when running.

When i was a kid I played 3rd base and catcher….I got drilled with a liner @ 3rd in the chest knocked the wind out of me and turned my titty blue for a week.

For what it’s worth, Minor hit 92 with a couple of pitches that inning. But keep in mind, this is the gun that had Wagner at 101 last spring.

Yeah, a few times. I used to catch (foul tips) and have been plunked plenty. Never by a 90+ mph ball though.
