Slight modification of my name
Way to go Mather!
Oliver Perez on for the Mets.
Ross flies out to Willie Harris for the first out.
Mather double down LF line is Braves’ first hit, one out in the third inning
February 27th, 20111:42 pm
Bo, I like This Joe Mather Cat
“Thats The Way I Like It!”
Mather strokes a double for the Braves first hit.
February 27th, 20111:43 pm
If Mather shows to be healthy and can show his promise, then it’d be a pretty good pick up obviously
February 27th, 20111:44 pm
Bowman strikes out.
Anyone Ever been hit be a a fast Baseball?
February 27th, 20111:45 pm
joe mather with a nice double
Sutton brings up a good point about the size of Mather being an advantage. His long legs enables him to take long strides when running.
Martini Comes Through, Nice1
Prado sneaks a single through the left side to score Mather.
Prado RBI single through left side, 1-0 Braves with 2 out in 3rd

“People who think Chipper should not be batting in one of the top three slots in the order simply do not think avoiding outs should be a concern”
If Chipper proves to have anything left in the tank, I’d hit him second
Boy, I love listening to Powell and Sutton….!
February 27th, 20111:47 pm
Schafer strikes out on a curve ball to end the inning.
February 27th, 2011
When i was a kid I played 3rd base and catcher….I got drilled with a liner @ 3rd in the chest knocked the wind out of me and turned my titty blue for a week.
Me too, Tomahawkin! They’re awesome announcers.
February 27th, 20111:50 pm
Sounds like Martin is getting a workout.
February 27th, 20111:51 pm
How’s Prado looking in LF from a transition type of way? Is he good at getting to the ball? Any trouble with routes or anything? I mean in a so far sense.
For what it’s worth, Minor hit 92 with a couple of pitches that inning. But keep in mind, this is the gun that had Wagner at 101 last spring.

Anyone Ever been hit be a a fast Baseball? – Tomahawkin’
Yeah, a few times. I used to catch (foul tips) and have been plunked plenty. Never by a 90+ mph ball though.
Minor retired all six batters he faced, no walks, no Ks
I got hit in the nads (w/o a cup) by a line drive in practice as a result of goofing off with a teammate in the OF and not paying attention, I haven’t been the same ever since
And where are you at in OK?
nice start to the spring for mike minor
February 27th, 20111:54 pm
Way to go, Chipper!
They are playing Alice N Chains for Uggla, Nice!
Minor ran through the six Mets he faced like grain through a goose.
Chipper gets his first hit of the Spring with a single off ole’ Ollie.
Chipper lined a first-pitch single to left field, all over that Oliver Perez offering
Good job, Chipper!
Come on Uggla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
February 27th, 20111:55 pm
DOB- i wouldn’t look at mph at this stage in the spring.
February 27th, 20111:56 pm
In a very small town(Geronimo) just south of Lawton/Fort Sill…………….About 20 miles north of the Texas border.
Well Uggla is right, don’t expect too much early
February 27th, 20111:57 pm
I have been hit in the elbow by pitches several times…Since I was a huge Biggio fan, I would try to lean into pitches when necessasry…
Chipper with a slide!
wow, nice to see chipper get a hit. guess he’s not going 0 for 3 after all lol
February 27th, 20111:58 pm
After a strike out, Freeman hits a potential double play ball. Chipper slides into second to break up the DP and Freeman beats the relay out.
February 27th, 20111:59 pm
we’ll see how chipper’s leg feels tomorrow, but doesnt seem like the leg is going to be much of an issue….
Chipper slid to break up double play, nothing looked out of ordinary
Sutton And Powell, doing a great job conversing about the S. training sites
February 27th, 20112:00 pm
Gonzo walks. 1st and 2nd with two outs. Ross to the plate.
Taking it for the team. I can dig that.
AG with the walk!
February 27th, 20112:03 pm
“Everybody Clap Yo Hands!”
Couple of walks have loaded bases for Joe Mather, Perez facing him with 2 out in the 4th
Ross walks to load the bases.
Mather to the plate.
Bases loaded for Mather!
February 27th, 20112:04 pm
This is where we were terrible last year.
February 27th, 20112:06 pm
February 27th, 20112:07 pm
Mather’s on it.
Bases-loaded walk by Mather makes it 2-0. That’s three straight walks by Ollie P.
A walked in run is a good run.
Mather takes a walk!!!!!!!!!
oliver perez being the same oliver perez no matter what part of the year it is
Ollie walks Mather to drive in the Braves second run. Three straight walks for ole’ Ollie.
Bowman to the plate.
February 27th, 20112:08 pm
Same old Ollie!!! =)
Oliver Perez is a nightmare for the Mets. Team hurting for money with a guy making $12M who won’t pitch this year.
Two-run single by Bowman (not Mark) makes it 4-0 Braves.
And none of this could have happened without Chipper breaking up the double play.
Another walk please
February 27th, 20112:09 pm
Nice Inning! No Jinxing here…!
Bowman gets a hit into left field. Ross and Gonzalez score. Mather caught in a run down to end the inning.
February 27th, 20112:10 pm
Oh so it was Bowman who got a hit >_>
I got a bit confused lol.
February 27th, 20112:12 pm
It’s Beachy TIME!
Beachy comes in for the Braves. Facing Hairston.
February 27th, 20112:13 pm
Going down to talk to Rodrigo Lopez and Mike Minor, be away from laptop a while
BB Looking Good, nice!
February 27th, 20112:14 pm
Beachy strikes out Hairston to start the fourth.
Thanx for the running commentary DAVE. Much appreciated.
“By the way, it’s not full house. Beautiful Sunday afternoon with Mets in town, and there’s a whole section or two that’s pretty much empty.” DOB
Good to know Braves fans use spring training to get into “game shape” too.
I meant the fifth! This one’s just flying along.
Lopez/Minor/Beachy should be a good Triple Threat battle for the 5th spot.
February 27th, 20112:15 pm
Nice one, N8
February 27th, 20112:16 pm
Pop out to Mather!!
February 27th, 20112:17 pm
Boof Bonser is warming up for Mets.
looks like beachy is dealing!
February 27th, 20112:18 pm
Beachy did good!!!!!!!!!!!
Another quick inning. Three up and three down.
February 27th, 20112:19 pm
I love the Hendrix they play for Martini!
February 27th, 20112:20 pm
