Grounder up the middle to Lucas is misplayed by Lucas. First and second with two outs.
February 26th, 20113:32 pm
The baseball gods will make Frank Wren pay for his stupid comment about defense not losing games.
Good To know that Buck Belue will be doing some of the games
Oh, that’s why soph was singing camptown racers
February 26th, 20113:33 pm
I have a feeling that Fredi is going to have something to say about the sloppiness in the in-field before Spring Training is over if the bobbles and drops continue.
“The baseball gods will make Frank Wren pay for his stupid comment about defense not losing games.”
Ouch! It Sucks But I know That your Right, especially in the Playoffs
Steve Marek works out of trouble with his second strikeout of inning to end the 8th, score still 2-2
February 26th, 20113:34 pm
Marek gets a strike out to end the inning.
Top of the ninth. Braves 2, Mets 2
Conrad might not make the team…….Maybe Matt Young….Depends on spring training.
February 26th, 20113:35 pm
“Everybody Clap Yo Hands!”
Has anyone ever danced to that Garbage Song?
If Kimbrel can’t save, if Mather ain’t Diaz, if Chip can’t go, if D-Lowe doesn’t pitch like he did in Sept, if our CF, whoever it is, can’t hit better than .200, if Freeman flops, if J-Hey has a sophomore swoon, if McCann starts off like he did last year at the plate, and continues like he finished last year throwing to second…well…buckle up for 100….losses.
February 26th, 20113:36 pm
Young runs count to 2-2 to start 9th for Braves….
“Conrad might not make the team…….Maybe Matt Young….Depends on spring training.”
Connie Makes The team This Year, Bank On It, His bat off the bench was too valuable last year, without Connie on the team last year, we don’t make the playoffs
February 26th, 20113:37 pm
Young draws leadoff walk, Mather to the plate.
Good eye Matty!
The good thing about being 5-7 is he has a small strikezone.
February 26th, 20113:38 pm
Matt Young at the plate.
I hope Matt Young has a good showing in ST this year. He had a great season last year in Gwinnett. Could be a late bloomer.
Ut-Oh…You wanna Bank on those Bold Predictions…?
February 26th, 20113:39 pm
that is true about Conrad and making the playoffs, it’s too bad though that if he weren’t on the playoff roster, we could have stayed in longer
Mather at the plate. Young on first with a walk.
I think Blow-costa is still in the game.
I’m cold, I’m tired, I hurt and it’s warmer in Atlanta then it is here, but you know what? It doesn’t matter because IT’S BASEBALL SEASON!!!!!! YAY
February 26th, 20113:41 pm
Hit and run, but Mather fouls the 3-2 pitch off.
Comparing Joe Mather to Jayson Werth, Bad Comparison, even though I like Mather
February 26th, 20113:42 pm
Braves’ Mather grounds out 4-3, Young to second base. (Ex-Brave Manny Acosta is pitching for Mets this inning)
Mets robbed Mather of a hit. Young to second with one out.
February 26th, 20113:43 pm
Mather got robbed.
Highway Robbery! GRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!
cabravesfan … take an aspirin, get in bed under a blanket, watch or listen to the Braves. You should be fine.
BamaDude @ #1CowCollege AL
February 26th, 20113:44 pm
cab …i hear ya Baseball is BACK !!!
72 and bright sun here on the Plains
Manny- I’ll Cost You (Acosta) I do not miss him, but I want Jeun Keun Bong and Ray Burger King Back
Tomahawkin’….those weren’t predictions…those were “IF-THEN” statements…IF you read the post, THEN you would have comprehended the post.
Dang! Matt Young can fly for a little guy!!
February 26th, 20113:45 pm
laying on the sofa contemplating tea, listening to my Braves take the lead in the 9th I’m happy!
Braves’ Ed Lucas with the RBI single to LF to score Young for 3-2 lead with 1 out in 9th
U-cost-us gives up an RBI single to Ed Lucas. Braves lead 3-2.
February 26th, 20113:46 pm
Lucas makes up for the error.
Manny reminding me why I’m so glad he’s wearing a Mets uni.
February 26th, 20113:47 pm
They are expecting a dusting of snow on the Hollywood sign tonight…SNOW. It’s currently 54 degrees here…but at least it’s sunny
Agreed on that part on B-Macc, But B-Macc will have a Coming out Party This Year, Bank On It, especially since he lost weight and has come to Camp Ripped
And the most important thing About B-Macc this year is UGG. B-Macc won’t be pitched around like he was last year when Lee and Trouble T-Roy (Glaus) was hitting behind them
Enters the closer…
McFann Ô Ô
Hitting behind him
February 26th, 20113:48 pm
checkin’ out …all take care !! …
The Tide round ball game ’bout to start …UA tryin’ to win the SEC Championship …Roll Tide Roll !!!
Diory showing up!!!
Braves’ Bowman draws walk on full-count pitch, runners at 1st and 2nd, and Diory H. chops single over 3B for 4-2 lead
4-2 Bravos …yup
February 26th, 20113:49 pm
Tomahawkin B-Macc won’t be pitched around like he was last year
Jim and Don were talking about how some folks were predicting the Phillies would win 115 games this year. But, their line-up is extremely lefty heavy, which plays into the Braves hands with their tough lefty bullpen (and starter in Minor if he makes it).
there we go
I hope This is Freddi G calling the running game, it looks good
I have to disagree about the Point Powell was making in how the Braves can hang with the Phillies
Just asked about Lucas and Young the other day. My favorites for the last 2 spots on the bench.
February 26th, 20113:50 pm
Who is Bowman?
They called Lucas out on the would-be RBI single by Diory, still waiting for a ruling as to why. Might’ve missed base.
The MLBN crawl keeps reporting that Kawakami will be in camp by mid-week.
Phils are losing to Yankees 4-3 in hte eighth.
damn only 3-2
Lucas was called out for missing third?
February 26th, 20113:51 pm
Sure Braves Play the Phillies tough From April til July, but the Braves haved sucked against the Phillies in late August/September Games the Last 5 years when It counts…Last Year was Bold Proof…
Sounds like Lucas stumbled around 3rd and missed the base, according to the radio guys
3 – 2. Lucas out on appeal. Missed third.
Powder Blue (formerly "I Miss Ted Turner")
February 26th, 20113:52 pm
O.K., this is a much smaller name, and I’m too lazy to type “Swing Hard In Case You Hit It” all season. I’m sticking with “Powder Blue.”
So glad baseball is back.
DOB – just read your bio for the first time. Good taste, my man. I, too, have a crush on Neko Case.
February 26th, 20113:53 pm
Met announcers say he was called out for missing third after obstruction by the third baseman. Weird!
Weird… They just showed a replay where the ump at third base pointed at the third baseman and (presumably) called obstruction. Guess it doesn’t matter though if you don’t touch third.
Toma … I don’t disagree that the Phils have owned the Braves late in the year. But, let’s be fair in 2010. Braves had just lost some key starters when they rolled into Philly. But for a couple of critical errors by non-starters, Braves might have swept the Phils instead of the other way around. Same story in Atlanta to close the season.
February 26th, 20113:54 pm
Pull Abreu now, and make sure there is a red ticket waiting on him at the locker.
Abreu in to close it or lose it for the Braves.
Walk to the lead-off man.
February 26th, 20113:55 pm
Seriously, Who cares about the Thrashers Now that baseball is back?
Willie Harris pinch runs for the Mets.
Abreu continues to miss the strike zone.
February 26th, 20113:57 pm
Breaking news…….Kawakami will be in camp middle of next week. Visa issues resolved.
Well…I guess it is a bit early for that.
Kathud… I like it
Abreu comes back to strike out the batter for out number one.
Boscan has potential of being a pitching coach. Calmed Marek down earlier, and now Abreu
1 out whew.
February 26th, 20113:58 pm
I’d much rather hear about the Kathud hit than how someone has fisted anything into the outfield.
February 26th, 20113:59 pm
If only the Department of Homeland Security could have kept KK out for another 9 months.
Truer words have never been spoken
Danger! on the corners with 1 out.
Mets’ Hu singles hard through right side of infield, runners on corners with one out for Valdespin, one out against Abreu
Damn, I lost the 680AM online feed
February 26th, 20114:00 pm
GT’s Jed Bradley done after 7 IP. 0 H, 0 BB, 10 K.
Valdespin line-drive RBI double over RF ties score 3-3, runners at 2nd and 3rd with one out
February 26th, 20114:01 pm
Hey, another Braves blown save. Yea, that’s unusual. lol
Hit and run single advances Harris to third with one out. Tying run 90 feet away. Winning run on at first.
cabravesfan .. I think “fisted” should be deleted from the baseball lexicon.
Tie game now. Men on second and third with one out.
Are we out of pitchers?
I had to get that First “Game Over” Out of the Way…Its only over when I say so…
February 26th, 20114:02 pm
Welp, some good signs from McLouth and Schafer and some of our pitchers.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
