Willie Harris interview cut off by…..?
Hmm tv feed is lost. They’ve put up just the audio on the tv with a blank screen…stinks.
February 26th, 20112:41 pm
Top of the morning, er…afternoon, TH
Fredi’s Fu Manchu, glad it works for you. I was hoping you would not have a problem because it said IE1, even though people said it worked just fine with their IE7’s and IE8’s. cnet is a really good site.
BamaDude, glad to hear that.
I lost the MLBTV feed.
February 26th, 20112:42 pm
Kimbrel gave up a two-run homer by Franciisco Martinez, after leadoff double by Hairston in fifth. Now a walk, Kimbrel hasn’t record an out
Brava, you too? It says a commercial in progress though.
Brava.. yeah it seems the visual feed is lost for MLBTV, CW and WPIX…. if that’s the case 680 it is!
mlb.tv just went heywire here, anybody else having problems?
February 26th, 20112:43 pm
Yeah, same here, Trey.
Is Wagner still on the 40 man roster?
February 26th, 20112:44 pm
I’m watching it on tv…and the visual feed went out for a bit but just came back on a few seconds ago.
OH NO, not again.
There’s our All Star Defense
Error on #Braves 2B Conrad, bobbled a routine grounder by Valdespin, puts runners at 1st and 2nd with none out, Kimbrel still in
Wow. Brooks. No.
Time for Fredi and Wren to make a road trip to Virginia to visit Wags.
February 26th, 20112:45 pm
S/O To GTSteve
Those Tokyo Teas kicked my ass last night
Kimmy’s pitch on the HR was up…Martinez put a nice easy swing on it and let Kimbrel do the work.
Conrad has now booted two ground balls today. For his sake, I hope it gets better.
Kimbrel finally gets a SO.
February 26th, 20112:46 pm
While we were down talking to Jurrjens, Schafer doubled in the 5th inning and McLouth HBP in right foot. OK but left game
February 26th, 20112:47 pm
Kimbrel got a strikeout for first out, whoever’s in game for Wright fanned.
Constanza’s in for McLouth in CF
Looks like Venters will be the closer.
conrad needs some overtime in fielding practice.
He should take a page out of Prado and Schafer’s book when it comes to putting in extra work
February 26th, 20112:48 pm
Looks like kimbrell is working on his breaking ball & changeup….only throwing about 88mph.
February 26th, 20112:49 pm
Kimbrell is only throwing 86 or 88 with his fastball.
Braves’ Kimbrel walks Jason Pridie to load bases, now Kimbrel is replaced by C. Martinez
February 26th, 20112:50 pm
Time 4 a Samuel Jackson
Kimbrel, see ya in AAA.
February 26th, 20112:52 pm
Martinez induces 5-4-3 DP by first batter he faces, Duda, to end inning. Yes, zippity doo.
Should we be worried that Kimbrel didn’t get over 90mph on the first game of spring? ehh no sny are the most pesimistic broadcasters I’ve ever seen.
February 26th, 20112:53 pm
For the record, Kimbrel’s one out was a strikeout of Zach Lutz, who had replaced David Wright.
Kimbrel will be fine. He’s probably just got jitters from all the expectations placed on him.
February 26th, 20112:55 pm
Kimmie Will be aight, he was just working on some things…If it was April 15th then it would be time for the Blog to be off the Chain
I’m suprised that B-Macc is still hitting
February 26th, 20112:56 pm
Third double for Freeman..looking good.
Freddie!!!! Double number three!!!!
Freeman doubles off base of CF wall with two out — 3-for-3 with three doubles, one to each field
Wow Freeman, 3 doubles
February 26th, 20112:57 pm
Freddie is coming out swinging…3 for 3 with 3 doubles!
Jeff Francouer on to pinch-run for Freddie…
Hinske & Freeman
Fab 5 Freddie Is Clowning!!!
…oh whoops, that’s Mather.
After five innings, Freeman leads Grapefruit League (we think) with three doubles. Two of them with two outs.
February 26th, 20112:58 pm
I think their speed gun is off. I don’t think it’s registered 90 mph on any pitch so far.
I just Hope Connie hasn’t suffered the Rube Baker/Chuck Knoblauch Syndrone…
Mather running for freddie……or was that mather batting?
Mr. Turnip-Green Jeans
February 26th, 20112:59 pm
“Constanza’s in for McLouth in CF”
Wonder if Jerry, Kramer, and Elaine, are there rooting him on?
February 26th, 20113:01 pm
I think that if Freeman kills spring opponents he might be the number 7 hitter instead of the number 8. And if Alex Gonzalez struggles.
But I understand why he would be hesitant to that. Two lefties back to back in Heyward in Freeman might be a liability late in games.
February 26th, 20113:02 pm
Hell yes Freddie!!!
February 26th, 20113:03 pm
BBurgBrave, drive 20 miles to Lexington BBQ in Lexington,NC. Worth the drive.
February 26th, 20113:04 pm
Good showing by Martinez.
Nick Is Optomistic about this Season…?
Maybe I need to meet him at the Chophouse?
February 26th, 20113:05 pm
Braves’ Martinez stays in to pitch sixth, pitches perfect inning. He’s recorded five outs in four batters faced.
Martinez making a splash for some recognition. Good work buddy.
C-Mart Looks Good!
February 26th, 20113:07 pm
This is why I liked the pick up of Cristhian Martinez from Marlins
Fredi's Fu Manchu
Looks like FF struggling to get back spin on the ball – poor kid.
February 26th, 20113:08 pm
“Play That Funky Music!” D.O.B.
Last season that is
Yeah he’s really doing awful today… Wait…
February 26th, 20113:09 pm
Why Am I in the minority in that I have always loved Don Sutton doing Commentary?
Thanks for the tip, CB. As I recall (daily reader, seldom poster here), you are a fellow Hokie, right?
February 26th, 20113:10 pm
Anthony Varvaro is interesting because of the past success getting players (specifically pitchers) from Seattle off waivers. Eric O’Flaherty & Jorge Campillo comes to mind.
February 26th, 20113:12 pm
Good try just a little too hard
BBurgBrave, yes I am. Go Hokies! Go Braves! Born and raised in that area also.
February 26th, 20113:13 pm
Yeah, Schafer put a little too much into that bunt. Great execution, though.
Good Idea Schafer
February 26th, 20113:16 pm
Braves’ Anthony Varvaro pitching the 7th, got a 4-3 to start inning
February 26th, 20113:18 pm
Gawd…After the Garbage I ate last night, I’m getting Pregnant Pauses…I might step off for a minute
Wonder if Jerry, Kramer, and Elaine, are there rooting him on?
Varvaro looking good.
February 26th, 20113:19 pm
Varvaro’s got a good arm, that’s clear. He pitched a perfect 7th for Braves against backups
I’m currently multitasking with the Braves on my computer and the WGC-Accenture Match Play on the TV. Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Matt Kuchar is playing one semi-final while UGA Bulldog Bubba Watson in the other semi-final. If both win, that’d make for a heck of a final.
Is the game still tied 2-2?
I really don’t want to know what “pregnant pauses” means.
February 26th, 20113:20 pm
I finally got my iPhone MLB app and wifi working. Baseball is back at last.
February 26th, 20113:21 pm
Game is tied, 2-2.
“Can’t Stand Ya” just popped out. One down in the top of the eighth.
This guy can fly
February 26th, 20113:22 pm
I still think that the S. Training games schedule is a week too long…
Blow-costa is on for the Mess.
Ramirez (don’t know who) beats out a throw at first.
Boscan up for the Braves.
OF Wilkin Ramirez just flashed some impressive speed in beating out an infield single, before Boscan GIDP
February 26th, 20113:23 pm
Boscan promptly hits into a double play to end the inning.
February 26th, 20113:24 pm
I still think that the S. Training games schedule is a week too long… – Tomahawkin
Seriously Wilkin Ramirez has Carl Crawford speed.
It sounds like the Braves have some burners in camp. Yay. Team speed of the future.
February 26th, 20113:25 pm
Between Schafer (nearly beat out that too-hard bunt), Ramirez and Constanza, some serious speed on this travel roster. McLouth too, of course.
February 26th, 20113:26 pm
Bottom of the eighth … Braves 2, Mets 2
Marek on for the Braves.
Marek walks Lutz to start the 8th
February 26th, 20113:27 pm
Marek walks the lead-off guy.
I like This Marek Cat…Looks like there was no winner in the 2nd Tex deal…
February 26th, 20113:29 pm
One thing I love about Spring Training is that there are always a few guys who come into camp and make a showing. You don’t know anything about them. Then, an injury here, a bad performance there, and some young’un makes his MLB debut.
Venters was that guy last year. I wonder if someone like a Constanza or Marek will be that guy this year.
Marek gets a strike out for the first out.
February 26th, 20113:30 pm
Deep fly ball to Ramirez gets the second out.
Marek strikes out Pridie after leadoff walk in eighth. Prid(i)e Strikes Out. Like Fear Strikes Out….
OK, that was bad.
Duda flies out to RF warning track, and Evans reaches on E4 — Ed Lucas bad throw to second
