Btw I was glad Frank Wren got the extension. I made very sure to indicate that was my desire when I filled out my Liberty Media shareholder proxy vote this year.
I wonder if at any point we’ll get a sense that Nate is feeling pushed by Schafer. Schafer is younger, faster, throws better…but can he hit? Can either of them hit?
DOB I am watching on MLB and noticed that none of JJ’s pitches touched 90 and did not even get past 86. If I remember correctly JJ’s fastball is usually in the 90’s during the regular season. Do pitchers usually hold back the first few ST games or is it something else?
One of the highlights of last season was the quote DOB got from him when Fansworth first came to the clubhouse: “Remember that time you chokeslammed that guy in Cleveland? That was awesome.”
And, just to put the icing on my cake, cycling classics season started today with a verry impressive win by Sebastiaan Langeveld at the Omloop het Nieuwsblad. Yes, life is looking good again from a grey and cold Netherlands.
Thanks for all the hours you’re putting in DOB, Carroll, still greatly appreciated across the big blue.
