DOB – here’s an article you wrote about Beau Torbert back when the Braves acquired him. I love his numbers regardless of where he is playing and am pulling for a miracle. Can you give a brief update on him? — keylargo
He’ll be in minor league camp, which I think opens this week. I’ll check. Otherwise, there’s no update yet.

Bravestillidie: For autographs, if I were you I’d get to the ballpark at about 8 a.m. and get some guys hitting early in the covered batting cage beyond left field. Then I’d just hang out around the Braves dugout during BP and wait for players to come over and sign. There will be dozens of others doing the same thing, and swarming when a player or the manager comes over to sign.

Braves Grapefruit home opener today (1 p.m.), and Dan Uggla’s Braves debut. No TV. It’s on radio in Atlanta (680-AM, 93.7-FM).

Dear Blog, Yesterday’s outpouring of support for a “lurker” was both unexpected and overwhelming. It has taken until now for the tears to stop flowing enough to once again express my gratitude…All of you truly are a special group. There is not “and idiot” or a “maroon” to be found. DOB, I assume, that with your appetite for music, you have listened to Adele. I just heard her recent CD ”21” and I am totally blown away. What an amazing singer/songwriter at just 23 years old.

ccrider: Yeah, Adele’s really got a soulful voice. Lot of Dusty Springfield in her. Hard to believe she’s that young. I haven’t heard the new album yet, but her debut album “19″ was strong.

DOB, The new album, from what my wife has told be me, is more mature(23years old ,Really?) and the songwritng is well beyond her years. Having played in a band when I was in my teens, I’m blown away by her maturity!

Lew,you do have to step back and wonder why anyone would go ballistic about what is basically practice. Managers use these games to discover what they have,get repetitions in and hope for no injuries while making plans for the regular season.

Trey- I never have my hands full with trolls. They don’t mean enough to me to waste my time on most of them. Nick never had anything worthy to say and he wont be changing it this time around either. Same with Mitchell and a few others. The ignoring of ignorance may not make it go away, but it works for me, cause I’ve NEVER engaged anyone negative before.
And if you truly believe a word of that, are you interested in some swampland I own in Florida?

Lew, then you are one of the few who doesn’t give into what they say. Mitchell seems to have it toned down every once in a while, but he always resorts back to freaking out when something doesn’t go his way.

Both knees were f’d up, if you remember…
Been wearing knee braces daily to work, went all day yesterday (off day) without, felt pretty good.
Been taking the supplement for a few weeks now, seem to help.
