Now see Playoffs!!! watches baseball if a guy does one little thing in alot of peoples eyes he should be the opening day starter one person on this blog said Fredi Gonzalez was a stupid manager because he took JJ out after two innings, And that Kimbrel lacks focus after he gave up some walks and a homer. People were not saying that when he struck out 40 batters in 21 and a half innings last year or the promise he should in his postseason outings he was attacking the Giants hitters in those games and I watched every one from the 1st pitch to the final out!!!

People soooooooo Easily forget all the game changing hits and spark that Brooks Conrad gave the team last year! I can only imagine but dont want to assume that when he made that error today that it bothered him cause he knew that people were gonna bash him even in the 1st spring training game. I SUPPORT all the players when they are going good and even when they are slumping. It was Reallllllllll hard to support that obviously out of shape, byproduct of a Yankee lineup castoff Melky Cabrera but he was a BRAVE

Anyone notice that when the Braves git rid of a player the Royals pick them up I.E Bruce Chen, Frenchy, Melky, Kyle Davies! I know Dayton Moore is their GM but comeon. Ohhhhh in the 2011 USA Today Baseball Magazine they had an article about the leagues most overrated and underated players and sure enough Frenchy was one of the Overrated. Sorry Frenchy fans but he is a Football player trying to play Baseball

Brooks was an important piece in the 2010 Braves puzzles. Like Ive said before this team has been a singles occasional 2bagger team with no speed pitching kept them in almost every game last year cause there where so many of the 6 4 3 inning ending double plays grounded into by Melky and Company they were 6th in the NL in Runs scored but those 10 to 2 blowouts they had were usually followed by a 2 to 1 lost with only 5 hits the whole game which were usually 4 singles and a double. It was obvious they needed a change thats why TP is wearing that Helmet at 1st base and not in the duggout not blaming everything on TP at all but the last good hitting coach this team had was Don Baylor in 99 when Chipper won the MVP

If he would have took the multiyear deal he was offered him and Mac would be making about the same. But for a player that still cant layoff breaking balls in the dirt and that Low and away slider 2.5M could be spent better somewhere else. People still pull for the guy for what he did in highschool, Wren even said that year when Frenchy was getting all the attention that people underestimate Mac, Five AllStar games 4 Silver sluggers and more RBI’s and Homers than any other catcher in MLB including Mauer looks the SI picked the wrong “Baby Brave” for their “The Natural” Cover.

This is half of the verbiage given to the actual game today in a lengthy story in the NY Times (most of which discussed economic turmoil)…
Out on the field, pitcher Jenrry Mejia, one of the Mets’ prospects, started the game and looked good much of the time. As he pitched, vultures soared over the playing field, apparently surveying the terrain for sick, vulnerable animals or decaying carcasses. On this day, at least, none were readily apparent.

Francoeur is playing for the Royals this year. I know Im bashing Frenchy a bit trust me I loved the “Baby Braves” and wanted him to be a cornerstone with Mac for years to come but he never made the adjustments people love the guy still from what he did in highschool. If you think it didnt bother Mac even a little and I dont want to assume or put words thoughts or feelings on Mac that Frenchy was the guy getting the hype and the respect while he played “Robin” to his Batman? Even in highschool he was the “other guy” to Frenchy’s Stardom. Now Mac is growing into the clubhouse leader to take over the reigns from Chipper while Frenchy was traded in season to the Division Rival then the Muts shipped him to Texas to going to Dayton Moore ex Braves brass that helped draft the kid

DOB – any suggestions on getting autographs or such for someone going down to ST at Dark Star for the first time? I won the ESPN the Weekend contest on Buck and Kincade and me and a buddy are going to be down there next Thursday through Sunday and will be attending Thursday and Saturdays game. We will be in the VIP suit for Thursday, but I don’t really know where that is. Not sure how it will all go, but look forward to the trip and finally seeing some baseball for the first time in months.

just got back from perfect weather in florida. saw a kid win a race that zero of the race fans know.

though the weather was perfect. got the feel from many though they were pulling for junior.

Yeah looks like My Tarheels will move up in the standings the Top 25 took a hit this week. I watch DUKE games too, Coach K is a living legend much respect for that man. Plus he is one of the college coaches that actually has loyalty to his Program and the kids that play for him by NOT jumping ship to NBA
