Is Samuel Jackson a MF-ing beer you drink on a MF-ing plane?
February 26th, 20116:53 pm
Reading the box score over on mlb.adsgalore.braves.moreads.com I saw Bowman worked himself into the line up. When is O’Brien going to get a chance to take some cuts?
February 26th, 20116:56 pm
I’m having a Leinenkugel’s Berry Weiss Beer. That is some wickedly good stuff!
February 26th, 20117:02 pm
Don’t try to draw any conclusion from the first ST game, not to mention “worries. DC
my “worries” (concerns is likely a better word) have been expressed during the winter, today’s game had nothing to do with it.
February 26th, 20117:08 pm
Berry Wuss Beer?
February 26th, 20117:10 pm
I got your Wuss, nolie.
My “worry” is that Tomahawkin is drinking beer brewed by Samuel L. Jackson.
February 26th, 20117:12 pm
Yeah, lord knows what Samuel L. Jackson might put in a beer. Especially when he knows Tomahawkin will be drinking it.
February 26th, 20117:14 pm
Ahem, boys & girls – class is in session.
Warning: foul language, click at your own risk.
February 26th, 20117:17 pm
So Tomahawkin’s drinking a fictitious beer?
DOB– more important than Kimbrel’s fastball though that is important is that according to the producer of Boardwalk Empire, Paz de la Huerta will be back for the second season. When asked if the nude scenes were difficult, she said Steve Buscemi was naked as well. Steve added that he definitely did not have a problem with the scenes with Paz (Lucy in the show).
February 26th, 20117:19 pm
Now I feel ready to take on the world with my superbly-enhanced education.
February 26th, 20117:21 pm
Lol, If The Pay was good, I would like to be a teacher, mainly Social Studies/US History…
February 26th, 20117:24 pm
I heard carnies make good dinero. Maybe jeffrey can hook you up.
Who knows what would give Samuel Jackon’s beer that mellow yellow color in the beer?
February 26th, 20117:25 pm
I learned the hard way that carnies make horrible money compared to the rest of college-educated America.
February 26th, 20117:26 pm
I’m enjoying some good Duff Beer while watching this Georgia game.
February 26th, 20117:28 pm
Instead of trying to be all fancy schmancy, why not take the easy layup, UGA guy?
February 26th, 20117:30 pm
We’re all about fancy schmancy. We don’t take the boring route at UGA
you think they get paid poorly you should try teachin’….
February 26th, 20117:31 pm
I like Buddhists though. Especially the ones who wear the red robes, and live at the Shao-lein temple. We should have at least one Kung Fu master on the team.
Well, Varvaro is straight from the slums of Shaolin, and he pitched well today.
February 26th, 20117:32 pm
I can’t tell if nolie’s being ironic or not
February 26th, 20117:33 pm
that’s the way it’s s’posed to be jd
given my history what is your gut feeling?
February 26th, 20117:36 pm
I just wasn’t sure if you knew what the carnival story was an extended metaphor for.
But yeah, from what I hear teaching – in terms of expectations, pay, and conditions – is worse now than it’s ever been.
February 26th, 20117:38 pm
given my near genius IQ I eventually figgered it out jd
McFann Ô Ô
February 26th, 20117:39 pm
DCBrave How’s big mac doing today? Didn’t see a summary anywhere.
BMac? He went 0-3 with a GIDP.
February 26th, 20117:41 pm
Man, we’d better start Ross.
February 26th, 20117:44 pm
Hahaha! Yeah right…
Didn’t you read me post on the last page? Crummy Springs for BMac are a plus.
February 26th, 20117:45 pm
nolie,I thought Ed Lucas had some nice swings. It would be nice if he turns out to be the real deal.
February 26th, 20117:46 pm
I’m just hoping Costanza makes it.
OK, so he had a pretty good AVG in Spring Training, 2008, but not much of anything else…
February 26th, 20117:47 pm
at the expense of Young, jeffrey ?
February 26th, 20117:48 pm
No, I like Young.
February 26th, 20117:50 pm
tomas, no. as i’ve said a few times, braves’ first TV game is Thursday vs. Tigers.
Just for you, jeffrey.
February 26th, 20117:51 pm
I didn’t mean this year.
February 26th, 20117:52 pm
No, Soph. We’re leading by 20 at the half….based on previous performances, we’ll end up losing by 4.
I wanted to drink a fictitious beer too….
February 26th, 20117:53 pm
Better than the Samuel Jackson beer, less calories.
Not a bad start for the Bravos today. Lot of guys had good days! However, you can not walk that many batters and be a closer. I don’t care how hard you throw.
I hope Billy Wagner stays in shape. I envision Chipper, Ross and Moylan making a trip to Virginia during the All-Star break and begging Billy the Kid to make one last stand. And he finally relents–seeing one last chance for that elusive ring!
February 26th, 20117:54 pm
I like Young, too……
February 26th, 20117:55 pm
Ok, time to prep my Jalepeno Chicken bites, brb…I’m in a Somber mood so that means I will be cooling out to some old Tony Toni Tone and Bell Biv Devoe…
February 26th, 20117:56 pm
Don’t be sad, T’hawkin. Be glad.
February 26th, 20118:01 pm
@Soph, I’m not Sad by any means…I’m in a Chillax mode right now, I’m just dreading Cooking
February 26th, 20118:02 pm
Somber means sad….
February 26th, 20118:03 pm
So UGA just aired a commercial honoring the newest addition to the UGA Athletic Association – Uga VIII.
it can also mean serious jd
February 26th, 20118:04 pm
I saw that – bad timing.
February 26th, 20118:05 pm
Are you in a serious mood, Tomahawkin?
Well, they’ve only had 3 weeks notice since he died.
February 26th, 20118:11 pm
I think T-Hawkin made a typo, jeffrey. He probably meant “sober”, from drinking all that fictitious Samuel Jackson beer.
February 26th, 20118:16 pm
I love UGA Sweater Guy
February 26th, 20118:19 pm
I love UGA Sweater Guy jd
not that there’s anything wrong with that
February 26th, 20118:23 pm
Not like that. He’s this middle-aged man in a sweater who goes to all the UGA basketball games and is always jumping up and down, trying to pump up the crowd.
February 26th, 20118:25 pm
February 26th, 20118:27 pm
Must Be Lonely
February 26th, 20118:32 pm
So it’s just me and nolie?
February 26th, 20118:35 pm
February 26th, 20118:39 pm
Freemans gonna hit
can tell that from today’s game
February 26th, 20118:44 pm
do they play tomorrow?
February 26th, 20118:47 pm
Nolie, they do.
February 26th, 20118:50 pm
I was at the game today. Got my picture taken with Johnny Venters and an autograph from Jair. I’ll take any questions you may have but just letting you know, I left to go wait by the bus after Martinez got that double play.
February 26th, 20118:52 pm
I’m guessing that everyone is having a MF-ing beer with their MF-ing dinner.
What did Jonny smell like?
February 26th, 20118:54 pm
Don’t remember, but dude was sharply dressed and a total class act.
February 26th, 20118:55 pm
Wooo, Just Got Done Bumpin some old Snoop, George Benson, Whitesnake, Now Its Time 4 Rhythm Nation
February 26th, 20118:56 pm
Keep us updated, Tomahawkin
February 26th, 20119:02 pm
After Some Pinot Grigo, I’m Chillax again, Cooling out to That old Janet Jackson “Funny How Time Flies” That song is sooo Good She starts Speaking Romantic French at the end…Definitely in my top 50 R&B songs of all time..I would bump it on Valetines day, but I don’t believe in that day…
February 26th, 20119:04 pm
Hey Jeffrey D…Thats Why I need To Be your Roommate…
Not Only I bump the Best of Music but I cook too…Everyone on here knows my taste is music is spectacular….Thats the only way to describe it…
February 26th, 20119:07 pm
As long as you keep the fridge full of Sam Jacksons, it’s a deal
..I would bump it on Valetines day, but I don’t believe in that day…
So what then, T-Hawkin? Do you go from February 13, directly to February 15?
February 26th, 20119:09 pm
Here’s some things we know, or what we imagine about this team – we ain’t scoring a ton of runs, we’re not a speedy team, and we don’t have starters that’ll throw many, if any, complete games. We need a good pen, especially a solid closer. I’ll leave it at that since it’s the first practice game of the year.
February 26th, 20119:11 pm
Everyone on here knows my taste is music is spectacular… peculiar _ Tomahawkin
February 26th, 20119:12 pm
Why do I feel so somber all of a sudden?
February 26th, 20119:13 pm
Just Got Done Bumpin That old T.I. “Top Back Remix” That song was sooo Good it was on A Chevy Commercial, Not To Mention the video to it gets you hooked…That Song Is Ideal for Driving in Atlanta Traffic..The Horn in that Song Rules!
February 26th, 20119:15 pm
I’m Down…My Bud Ice is what I refer to as Samuel Jackson…
Why so negative?
February 26th, 20119:18 pm
WTBS is producing a new baseball series named Hound Dogs
February 26th, 20119:29 pm
Ed Lucas made an error at 2B, didn’t touch 3B and had 2 RBI singles.
His stats in AAA indicate he may be a good offensive player, and he plays a lot of positions. Intriguing player.
February 26th, 20119:35 pm
Tomahawkin, I guess I’m just a tough crowd. I really like what this team has right now. Plenty of good pitching, a lineup that should’ve been improved even without a Dan Uggla (now it’s obviously stronger), and they should just have more confidence coming off a playoff season.
My concern is and has been since this years team was constructed is the pen and defense. Kimbrel and Venters don’t instill a ton of confidence in me because of inexperience and wildness. Damn, think about how many games are decided by the late inning relief guys? Errors will happen, but some we’ve made are unexceptable.
February 26th, 20119:36 pm
Hope Venice Jim’s Heart is in good shape…… Duke doesn’t look good right now. Sad……,but still early…..
February 26th, 20119:38 pm
nolie: Your comment on Freeman this year is solid…… I can live with those numbers, and stats………
February 26th, 20119:41 pm
Co-Sign…Our Team Defense is Garbage…I can live with a bad defense (excluding the playoffs because thats a different matter) because our teams have had Garbage Defense since Furcal and A. Jones Left…
February 26th, 20119:42 pm
I should’ve explained what I meant saying our lineup should’ve been improved even before Uggla. For one, Jones appears healthy and Mac has dropped some pounds. Plus the fact I think Heyward should be even better, Freeman isn’t a health scare like Glaus and surely McLouth can’t go anywhere but up from his last few seasons with us. Can he?
Anyways, yeah, Uggla changes a lot in our lineup I think. One guy, one bat, but it’s powerful and a guy like McCann or Heyward won’t feel like they have to hit 500 foot bombs every other at bat.
February 26th, 20119:43 pm
Ward, it’s sure good to hear that you can “live” with Freeman having a 999 OPS in his rookie season.
February 26th, 20119:45 pm
Tomahawkin: Have a little hope my friend in the defense……Braves will be much improved……..
February 26th, 20119:46 pm
Tom O’ Hawke: Freeman will have a nice solid year for a rookie…..smile…..
February 26th, 20119:49 pm
Tomahawkin, Heyward is a solid RF, Freeman looks slick at 1st, Gonzalez is apparantly better at SS than what we saw half the year with us, Prado I bet will make a solid LF.
Sad, but that’s about all I feel good about on the field. Other spots are shakey. That’s not good. Not at all.
February 26th, 20119:51 pm
Tomas: I Hope yor not another Robert on this blog……..
“Errors will happen, but some we’ve made are unexceptable.”
Get Used to it dude
February 26th, 20119:54 pm
“Braves will be much improved” Ward
In what area? Not 2nd. Not 3rd. Not Catcher. Not SS. Apparantly not center either since it looks like Nate has that job. Nowhere is it going to be improved except for probably LF.
They could tighten up on it with maybe more drills, etc., but it won’t be improved imo.
February 26th, 20119:56 pm
TnBrian: Chipper is solid third baseman,Freeman is no Troy G, and Uggla is better than you think on his defense case closed…..smile….
February 26th, 20119:58 pm
Also Gonzalez is better than you think too…..He showed flashes of excellent defense during the year. I go by style not the errors……
February 26th, 201110:00 pm
Ward, I don’t remember Glaus costing us any games playing 1st. I do remember him digging out plenty of Chipper’s, Yunel’s and Gonzalez’ sh** throws though.
February 26th, 201110:02 pm
Next topic…….this is boring……
February 26th, 201110:03 pm
While Gonzalez is obviously no Ozzie Smith, he was ranked the best defensive SS in the post-season last year. His defense is fine–not stellar but respectable. I would prefer to see a better OBP.
February 26th, 201110:04 pm
Ward, you and Sonny would make great buddies.
